The Administration Tower is the central hub of each city. Here is where the City Management is located, as well as the cities Director of Operations offices. This acts much like a smaller company's headquarters would act. The DoO oversees the production and manufacturing of the city, ensuring that quotas are met.

The City Management maintains the city, seeing that all contracts and leases are paid every month, collects trash, sees to sewage and water treatment, provides housing, pays wages, sponsors hospitals, and provides licenses to shop owners wishing to operate within the city. Everything that is done within the city is managed here. School districts, housing districts, traffic. If a city requires it, it can be found in city management. It even has a court circuit and judges that work within City Management. The Droid Police Force and the small Security Force are managed through these offices.

This is also home to the Theater shield that defends the city from bombardment.

Description:
These corporate cities are basically massive manufacturing plants covering dozens of square kilometers. Each sector of the city is dedicated to a single type of production, such as small arms, shielding, ships, vehicles, large scale weapons, armor, etcetera; with each sector having several large factories and processing plants built around a habitat block. The habitat block of each sector consists of massive apartment towers with rooms and domiciles for every type of family; restaurants, gymnasiums, medical centers, and other amenities, on certain floors, with the bottom floor being a dedicated common area much like a town square. Within the habitat blocks there are market districts, supermarkets, department stores, outlet malls, street vendors, hospitals, and even schools. The only constant, is that all of these are owned, operated, or contracted by ArmaTech. They accept the corporations printed currency, and only rarely accept real credits within the city limits.

There are shipping ports in every sector where goods are brought in and distributed among the populace, and goods are retrieved. Normally buyers supply their own shipping vessels and once loaded on to the freighter it is the buyer’s problem on how the bulk goods get to them.

Every sector is fairly large, covering lots of land and being several stories tall. Production lines can run hundreds of meters, taking raw materials and turning them into finish products on the same line. Small, non-military grade Molecular Furnaces and Solid Fuel Converters are used to assist in this process. Droids and Biologicals work side by side to complete these tasks, and quality control is tight. Sub-standard goods are not accepted by the company. Much of its manual labor is fulfilled by Hegemonic labor and worker droids, forming easily three fifths of the work force in each city.

There is One Hundred Percent Employment within the cities. Every Sponsor is a direct employee of ArmaTech, able to have three dependents under them. They are paid enough to cover expenses and provided housing, transportation, basic necessities covered, along with a little extra at the end of the day. Education is provided to children by instructors who are in turn, ArmaTech employees. The limitation on dependents is a subject of note. While this does not mean that a family cannot have more than three dependents, extras simply cost a monthly fee. All of these costs, like everything besides food and fuel for private vehicles, are garnished directly from wages. An easy way to circumvent these fees is to have secondary employment. Either a dependent gets a job or a sponsor takes a shift and a half every workday.

For a sponsor to quit or be fired is to cancel lease on the home, return any company property, and pay off any debts to the company through auction of personal effects. Eviction is rare within Corporate Cities, as very rarely do people get laid off or quit their jobs.

Retirement of a Sponsor reduces his number of dependents to one, but allows them to live, expenses paid to a certain amount, anywhere on the planet, rather than within the city. This can only be achieved after fifty years of employment and while allows the retiree to live comfortably, won’t make them rich men.

As stated, the company prints its own money, and thus controls the exchange rate. While Credits to ArmaTech currency is beneficial and in favor of exchange, the company controls the Currency to Credits ratio making it exuberantly low for unexplained reasons. Some people believe it is artificially kept this way artificially by the company, however these are few people are few in number. Additionally the company offers advances, loans, and lines of credit to its employees. The interest rates are fair, however the payments are garnished, so only occasional emergency loans are feasible. If someone’s wages are garnished completely, the line of credit on a Sponsor’s account will begin to pile up. It is best to keep fees to a minimum.

Its biological security is maintained by members of ArmaTech Security, and a veritable army of Hegemonic Droids, repurposed quietly from the Techno Union Military, forms additional security forces and the Droid Police Force. The only difference is normally the Police Force is armed with Non-Lethal weapons, though standard issue weapons are kept in an armory.

History:
There is not much history, as the cities have only existed a short time. Only once ArmaTech had reached Tier V did it begin building, operating, and governing these cities, and as such not much time has passed to allow for history.

The cities were built by a small army of Hegemonic Automaton construction droids, ranging from small labor droids to massive EVS Droids that tower over most buildings, and are normally populated by locals for the most part with the security force, droid police force, and upper management being delivered by the company.

Intent: To bring a little early 1900’s American Flavor to the Star Wars Era with Corporate Cities instead of Company Towns.

I'm assuming you mean plant here.

Molecular Furnaces and Solid Fuel/Ration Converters
Both of these need to be linked into the submission.

When you say Theater Shield do you mean the DSS-02?

What is the reasoning behind both the Planetary Shield and the DSS-02?

Yes. I can be more specific in the description if I need to be.

Well, options mainly. The SLD-26 can protect things in space, cover a portion of the planet, condense to only protect the city. In addition it has theoretical uses as a cage (albeit temporary) against bombarding enemy ships, to buy time for responding planetary forces. Second, redundancy isn't so bad.

Edited the rest.

Yes, please specify on that note.

Secondary redundancy isn't so bad, no. However used at the same time and well, it's more than redundancy. There's no chance really of anything getting through at that point. Especially taken into account that we are talking about a shield that protected the second Death Star and is largely impenetrable by the majority of what is out there. Unless someone happens along the tower and knock out it's power. Stacking that on top of a small city/base sized shield is a bit much. Not only that but the power drain on the city would be enormous. So it comes down to the combined choices of redundancy, that concern me.

You can have one or the other in this case. Not both. There are other things for protection that could be put into place without going overboard. More droids, a small army, weaponry installations and so on. Those wouldn't be that out there to use.

Given all the items and various components within this city, it makes them basically autonomous micro-nations that your company directly controls. With that in mind, this is going to require a development thread. Which shield you choose is going to determine length. If you choose the planetary shield, 50 posts. The other, 30. The choice is yours on that end.

In addition I need four theater shields and twenty four W-165 Planetary Turbolasers and twenty four V-150 Planet Defender Ion Cannons, all equipped with Tri-Trackers and advanced targeting computers.
Pulled from the New Age thread.

If those are installed within the corporate cities, that needs to be added into this submission with the links to go with from wookie. If not, we can move forward from there as there is enough development there to satisfy me.

They haven't been yet and as I don't want to do a large dev thread for a manufacturing city with (They would have been installed 4 each city), I haven't included them.
