Intent: To create a personal weapon for Arisa Yune.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Arisa Yune (Self)
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Arisa Yune (Self)
Modularity: Yes, internal components in the hilt can be replaced.
Production: Unique
Material: Dollorian Alloy, Diatium, Polymers, Luxum Crystal
Size: One-handed, Two-handed
Length: 145 cm (120 cm blade, 25 cm hilt)
Weight: 3.0 kg (feels lighter because of repulsor coils)
Special Features:
  • Capable of repulsing lightsabers, and deflecting energy in its powered state.
  • Effective against Sithspawn and Dark Side apparitions. (At the tip)
  • Ionizing effect. (At the tip)
  • Repulsor coils in core of the blade for increased concussive damage.
  • Energy sink for capturing excess energy created from electrical surges.
  • Adjustable power settings to switch between stun and kill modes.
Description:

To better cope against opponents sporting ever improving defenses, Arisa crafted a versatile new weapon for dealing with a variety of opponents. She came up with a physical sword design modeled after an estoc, a sword with blunt edges that tapers off into a fine point in a design optimizing armor penetration (either directly piercing armor, or slotting into soft crevices) at the expense of slashing ability. Her modern take on the weapon operates much like a Force Pike, employing some design additional cues from lightsabers.

The hilt is a cylindrical design composed of a lightweight polymer crafted for comfort. The pommel is a removal cap, serving as a mount for the diatium cells that powers the whole system, and an energy sink created from heat resistant dallorian alloy for capturing the excess energy in the event of a power surge. The battery and energy sink connect directly to the blade, feeding power to the repulsor coils, and discharging electricity along the blade to create high-frequency vibrations for destabilizing molecular bounds, and exacerbating wounds. The current passing through the blade electrifies it, creating an electromagnetic field that can repulse lightsabers and deflect energy bolts.

The blade itself is also created from dallorian alloy like the energy sink, capped off with a Luxum crystal. Through the same Force imbument process used in refining lightsaber crystals, Arisa fused the crystal to the blade, then honed the point to keep a permanent edge only a few molecules across. Even in an unpowered state, the point is more than sharp enough to pierce through armor on its own with the right application of force. She refined the crystal component further to channel the energy passing along the blade into one single point designed to overstress armor in a tiny area with a highly focused discharge. Tuned with light Force energy, the crystal cap is moderately effective at damaging Sithspawn and Dark Side apparitions on a metaphysical level.

While lacking a sharp edge, the estoc functions well as a bludgeoning weapon. To increase its potential for concussive damage, repulsors are used to enhance the power of the swing, then immediately shift to knocking against solid targets upon impact.

The estoc's power output can be manually adjusted to set the weapon from stun to kill.

This submission is very solid. You clearly did your homework on this and the quality shows.

However, given the number of traits, I'm going to ask for a development thread. 10 posts. Show me the creation of this beautiful submission and you'll have my stamp.
