PRELUDE
Shadows and Snakes
Leading the Expedition to what was simply referred to as the Scar Worlds, Ariel sought to utilize her resources to aid the systems that had been left devastated by the Brynadul. Doing her best to coordinate efforts amongst those who would work with her. She returned to the Unknown Region to secure more aid for those still rebuilding, returning to the Scar Worlds to help them re-establish themselves, grow and be prosperous. While doing so she raised her daughters Ivalyn and Zola, their father
Djorn Bline
remained in the New Imperial Order - later the Empire. Ariel herself whilst having Imperial values did not, at the time wish for them to be implemented in the way that the Empire had done. She championed the free will of the citizenry and their right to choose their own form of self-governance.
Ariel felt that such Imperialist values could be indoctrinated into a populous with subtle propaganda and the right amount of cultural influence. In the wake of her and Djorn's split, she kept her daughters away from him as he had grown increasingly obsessed with the more insidious methods of his work. This includes keeping the birth of their son, a secret. Drianos was born on Ossus, and Ariel continued to work with the Scar Worlds for a little while longer. She better than most knew that Djorn wouldn't be too far away and soon enough departed from Ossus taking her children with her and leaving the Mountbatten Expedition with those she trusted to continue its work.
The Outback of Kathol was far enough away from everything that Ariel had been associated with in her previous work. Very few people truly knew who she was and among them was
Atlas Drake
. Since her arrival in the early 870s, she's maintained a quiet presence seeking nothing more than to help, while raising her children. Her oldest child, Ivalyn has recently left the home and with her blessings. Understanding the ever-pressing danger of being found by Djorn. Ivalyn was given a few things, among them Ariel's old blaster and blast vest from the Reclamation Campaign on Dosuun.
For now, Ariel continues her work with Kathol's planetary government.
