Strengths:

• Heavily Armed - The Archon-class has a great deal of weaponry, all designed to pack a very heavy punch in fleet engagements
• Highly Protected - The Archon-class is equipped with plenty of armor plating and shielding to allow continued engagement against an enemy
• Gravastar+ Reactors - A mainstay for Aurora ships currently, the Gravastar+ Reactors in the ship provide it with all the power it needs to run its systems, and then some. The overflow capacitors have been tied into the ship's shields, turbolasers, ion cannons, and laser cannons to provide them an increase in power

Weaknesses:

• Lumbering - The extra armoring makes the Archon-class hard to maneuver with
• Overheating - If the Gravastar+ reactors' overclocking feature is used too often to boost the shields and weapons, they will malfunction and be rendered unusable until repairs can be done

Description:

As part of Aurora Industries' refurbishment of their ships, the Archon-class Heavy Frigate was greenlit for design and production. Designed to replace the old Kantos-class War Frigate that Aurora had developed for another failed Imperial faction, the Archon-class is designed to be an extremely heavy hitter in fleet engagements and to survive such intense engagements handily.

While it boasts an impressive amount of weaponry and defenses, the Archon-class is rather cumbersome. This was fine for the engineers, especially as they were installing the Gravastar+ reactors. These reactors, the new core for Aurora ships, was tied into the weapons and shields to give them that extra boost when needed.

It looks like the Gravatstar+ Reactor is at "limited" production, which is a lower production level than this vessel. Typically, a submission can't be a higher production level than one of its components (as that component should be more rare than the submission itself). I think the easiest way to fix this discrepancy would probably be to move t he production of this ship to limited, but I'm open to other ideas that you may have on this.

Does the Gravastar+Reactor's ability to store excess energy to boost up systems later on allow it to effectively change the relative power or ratings of systems?

The ratings are what they are, the reactor's boost doesn't change them.

Weaknesses: Slow - Because of the emphasis on power and defense, the Aurora designers unfortunately had to make the thing pretty slow for a frigate
