STRENGTHS
  • Invasion Vessel: In addition to being a carrier, dedicated cargo space for soldiers and various other military assets allows for the ship to serve as a transport for planetary invasion forces. Additional repulsorlifts and landing gear also allow for the cruiser to operate effectively on a planet's surface.
  • Support and Carry: The armaments of the cruiser are meant to be used in conjunction with the starfighters and other smaller craft that it carries into combat. With heavier weapons for fighting against larger vessels if bombers are lacking and a solid point defense system for keeping enemy crafts at bay if fighters and interceptors are limited.
  • Modular Bays: Both the cargo and hangar bays within the cruiser can be modified for a variety of purposes, whether that be to focus more on transporting soldiers and supplies or vehicles and other forms of equipment.
WEAKNESSES
  • Always Attack, Never Advance: The cruiser is not the most agile of vessels, with most of the ship focused on providing support in the midst of combat instead of making swift movements. This makes them easy to ambush and outmaneuver even by larger vessels.
  • Power Intensive: The power generators, while not lacking nor underpowered, do tend to become overwhelmed if the ship's power system is put under too much strain at once. Such as coming under heavy fire whilst carrying a full complement of smaller crafts.
DESCRIPTION
After the trial of the governor of Faldos, the planet would come under the influence of the Sith Order's Inquisition, who quickly got to work sorting through the smuggler assets left behind by the planet's previous powers. Most of the smuggler ships and vehicles would be scrapped and scavenged into piles of raw materials and useful components. The Inquisitorial Armory of Faldos would spearhead most of these operations in order to help kickstart the wider economy of the planet itself now that the smuggling trade had ended.

It would soon become apparent that simple shipments of raw scrap and ship parts wouldn't be enough however, and as such the Inquisition on Faldos began looking into more specialized areas of production and industry. Given their abundance of ship parts and materials, as well as plenty of leftover ship facilities, the Armory began work on shipbuilding efforts. The Arbite-Class Cruiser would be the result of their efforts, a solid ship that could pair well with most fleet combinations but excelled in carrier and transport roles. A particularly lacking niche of the existing Sith Order fleets were dedicated troop transports, at least outside of Star Destroyer classes or larger, and as such the ship was designed to help fill that role.

The ship's crew requirements come mostly from whatever it carries, as much of the systems are automated through the usage of droid brains in simple yet effective systems. The cruiser itself boasts respectable armor and firepower, allowing it to serve in the middle of combat without much difficulty and provide constant fighter support as a result. The speed and maneuverability of the Arbite-Class are decidedly lacking but its complement of smaller crafts is intended to make up for such glaring weaknesses.
