- Description: At first glance, the Arana appears to be a graceful winged woman with armor plating grafted to their lower body and legs. Her appearance belies the darkness that lurks beneath, a monster that only desires to enslave the enemies of the Sith to its will or destroy them outright.

- Skin color: Pale white, with the organic looking leg armor a mixture of pink and whites, and the wings a vibrant rainbow of yellows and blues that fade to the same white and pink coloration of the leg armor
- Hair color: No hair per se, but the feathers that align its head are a beautiful mixture of yellows, oranges, and white
- Distinctions: The Arana is characterized by the large two sets of armored wings that emerge from its back, allowing it the ability to fly. Another distinctive physical trait is the organic armor grafted to the creature's lower body and legs, giving it an appearance of some an odd flower which belies the strength of the protective plates.

- The Arana is incredibly powerful within the dark side of the Force, wielding several different powers that the Lady of Secrets gifted her knowledge of and some she has created for herself through Sith Magic:

[*]The armoring that covers its legs, lower body, and wings are highly impervious to damage, even able to take strikes from a lightsaber for sometime before it burns through
[*]Leftover from its Diathim heritage, the Arana has the ability to fly with its wings, making it highly maneuverable
[*]Another leftover from its Diathim heritage, and augmented by its command of the dark side of the Force, the Arana has a natural hypnotic ability to dominate the wills of its enemies, compelling them to fight on its behalf or offer themselves as sacrifices for it to feed upon
[*]An addition from the Fosh used in its creation, the Arana has the ability to alter its tears to different chemical substances such as healing liquids, sedatives, and poisons.
Weaknesses:
- While her wings and lower body are protected, her upper torso and arms can be injured as easily as any other human
- Force Light and other direct applications can wound the Arana, although she can take more attacks from it than other Sithspawn
- Carried over from the Fosh used in her creation, the Arana's neck is particularly susceptible to injury, making it a major point of attack for an opponent
- If exposed to a ysalamir null bubble or a large concentration of void stone, the Arana will not only lose access to her abilities in the Force, but also her hypnotic ability and ability to control what its tears become
- A curious side effect of the melding, the Arana suffers from a weakness to extreme colds. If exposed to freezing conditions or carbonite weaponry, her bones and the armor on her will become brittle and can easily be broken with a punch.

- Technology level: While Galactic Standard technology is available and could be used, the Arana eschews the use of any technology
- Religion/Beliefs: Upon her creation, the Arana believed that her purpose in the galaxy was to destroy or control the enemies of her creator's, the Sith. In that way, she worships the Sith Lords and Ladies, both new and old, and believes herself to be an instrument of their divine will. Every kill, every soul enslaved by her, is done in the name of the Dark Lords.
- General behavior: The Arana is a sadistic creature, masking her nature behind a face of beauty and honeyed words. Those she kills are drained of their vitality, while those she enslaves are forced to server her and by extension the Sith. She prefers to create a lair for herself when she is dispatched to a world, usually in places where ruins exist on the world and have her servants act like a cult that worships her and the Dark Lords. She is rather possessive, hating any that may steal away a servant from her, desiring the destruction of the Jedi and the Light. She is also a prideful creature, believing that as she was the first created by the Lady of Secrets in her latest project, she is above any that might be created later and will be their leader, something that the Lady of Secrets has implied.
In the pursuit of her research, Taeli Raaf, the Lady of Secrets, had begun working on a new project. Something... new, something powerful... and something that she was only sharing with a very few of her close circle. The new project, dubbed Project Aura, was designed to create truly unique and powerful Sithspawn creations, ones that would prove a challenge even for the most experienced Jedi to face. The Lady of Secrets began to quietly collect subjects for the experiments, only selecting those she felt fit certain criteria, and surprisingly, those who volunteered for the process to act as the base.
Farenya Kae, an Echani woman that had been badly maimed during the course of the galaxy's many struggles, volunteered to be the subject of Lady Raaf's experiment. Missing an arm and an eye, she only desired vengeance upon the galaxy for the pain she had suffered. In a secret section of the Lady of Secrets' laboratory on Amaltanna, the Echani was prepared while the other subjects were gathered. A Diathim, collected during the fall of Iego to the Sith, and a Fosh that had been kidnapped by her Adepts, were brought to the laboratory. In that secret chamber, filled with Sith runes and potions created by the Sith Lady and blood spilled from Force Sensitive sacrifices, the Lady of Raaf began the melding and altering of the three beings into one, ensconcing them in a cocoon of crystallized blood and dark side magic.
When she emerged from the cocoon, the new creature was dubbed the Arana iw Kuts, the Angel of Death. The three beings had been merged into a new form, one that borrowed from each of the individuals used to create it. A new personality had been formed, and the new being was gifted knowledge in the dark side of the Force by the Lady of Secrets. She would be a powerful herald for what was to come, a leader for the next being created by Project Aura.
