STRENGTHS
- Force Imbued: The Apostles Vestments were imbued with the force by Kol which amplifies its natural resistances without increasing its weight. Shell Spider Silk is already capable of deflecting vibroblades and blaster bolts. Egarian Silk absorbs electricity and becomes hardened the more that is run through it. Imbued with the Force these properties are enhanced to make the Vestments more resilient.
- Maneuverability: The Vestments are primarily composed of different types of silk, this equates to the armor being almost weightless and maneuverability being essentially unhindered.
- Stealth: The Shadowsilk used as a component in the Vestments absorbs light and dampens sound making it more difficult to detect the wearer.
- Self-Repairing: Functioning along similar principles as items made with Advanced Durasilk the Vestments contain nanites with self assembling memory protocols. The Nanites activate when the Vestments are damaged and work in concordance to repair the damage. Theoretically if any part of the Vestments remain the Nanites could repair them entirely however this would be a lengthy process.
WEAKNESSES
- Force Imbued: While being Imbued with the Force increases the resilience of the Vestments it also makes it impossible for the wearer to hide from someone who can use the Force to sense them. Also, if the Vestments were denied their imbuement of the force many of their resistances would be nullified. Energy and Kinetic Resistance would remain high and Electrical Resistance would remain average however all other resistances would essentially become none.
- EMP/ION: EMP or Ion Energy effectively nullifies the Nanites in the Vestments. In time the Nanites may reactivate however a blast from such a source renders them obsolete for the present encounter which also disables the self-repairing function of the Vestments.
- Sonic Weaponry: The Vestments provide no protection against sonic weaponry, they are functionally useless against it.
DESCRIPTION
The Apostles Vestments were woven from a mixture of several different kinds of silk. Shell Spider Silk which is highly resistant to blasters can deflect vibroblades, Egarian Silk due to its ability to absorb electricity and become harder and Shadowsilk for its stealth capabilities. Lastly the Vestments were Imbued with the Force by Rannan Kol to increase their natural resistances and durability to higher levels.
The Shadowsilk woven through the Vestments give them a dark finish that appears to absorb the light around them, intimidating to some though the practical application becomes more apparent when Kol is moving through an already dim area making it even more difficult to detect him. As Shadowsilk naturally dampens sound it also means that Kol can move, making as little noise as possible even under natural circumstances.
Nanites interfaced with the Vestments also act as a self-repairing tool incase they are damaged in combat or otherwise. These Nanites also perform rudimentary tasks such as ensuring the Vestments always appear toi be in pristine condition but serve no purpose aside from the upkeep of the attire and could not be weaponized in any way.
Apostle's Vestments were created by Rannan Kol and are, essentially a unique item however he has the knowledge to make other Vestments and could do so in small numbers for allies if desired so they have a Semi-Unique production rating.
