Strengths:

• Multi-Role Transport: While the intended functionality of the ship is a light freighter, like most Mandalorian ships it is also ready for war, truly capturing the Mandalorian spirit. Equipped with two auto laser turrets, ordinance launchers and primary laser canons, the light freighter could just as easily function as a troop transport in a pinch. Its weapons systems also make for a good deterrent against pirates and the like.
• Pimp My Ride: The Besom-class, like most Light Freighters, is insanely easy to modify. With little consequence in swapping the hyperdrive out for a faster one like MandalTech's 500 Series Hyperdrive or subbing out cargo space for a more powerful reactor it is one of MandalMotors most easily modular light freighters.

Weaknesses:

• Stock Hyperdrive: The hyperdrive equipped stock to the Besom-Class light freighter is slower than others of its class.

Description: The AP-76 Besom-class light freighter from MandalMotors was developed as the upgrade to the AP-89 Crux-class heavy freighter. Equipped with more weapons and a faster sublight engine than its older cousin, it was set to dominate the Mandalorian market. Its sales however have been disappointing. Potentially due to its mediocrity as far as armed freighters go throughout the galaxy, the Besom-class hasn't seen much fanfare or success, even in the Mandalore sector due to the Mandalorian tendency to use a ship until they are no longer usable. Most Mandalorians are still using pre-Gulag plague Kom'rk-class freighters and other AP-sereies heavy freighters which offer better armor, weapons, and a much faster hyperdrive. Lacking the popular 500 Series hyperdrive common in MandalMotors' AP-series the hope was that the decreased maintenance required in the standard Class-2 hyperdrive in the Besom-class would bring more people to purchase the starship.

Thus, surprisingly, most of the people who seem to be purchasing the AP-76 are off-world.

Average Speed: While it is quite easy to handle and fly, the Besom-Class light freighter lacks the speed that light freighters are known for.

This is not a weakness. Average ratings means it is the normal speed of the size of ship you are submitting. You can replace this with a weakness stating the hyperdrive is slower than normal (the rating being 2, whereas the vast majority of ships equipped with hyperdrives are 1).
