Let me tell you about a Rebellion...
I've always wanted to be a pilot. I think a lot of people have. And if you take a look at our beloved Star Wars, you'll find that the most iconic scenes often include awesome starfighter battles. You know, blowing up Death Stars?
Unfortunately, there seems to be a sad absence of any fighter pilots around here. At least, from what I've seen. The Republic doesn't even have a functional starfighter corps, and even if I started one on my own, I don't think there would be any enemy pilots to fight.
Which is why the Rebel Alliance was started with an emphasis on starfighters. Airpower has proven itself to be the most dominating aspect of war over this last century. The grandest battleships, the mightiest tanks, the most fortified cities... have been victim to airstrikes. One man in one fighter craft can rain terror onto the people below. The fact that this is vastly ignored by the warring factions here is incredible.

What I'm trying to say is, I am assembling a squadron or two of fighter pilots. There is literally an entire galaxy of room for us and we can get the game back to how it's meant to be: Star Wars. We will have the advantage right from the start, since there appears to be no competition for domination of the skies. And maybe we'll wake people up someday, and spectacular dogfights will once again have their place in invasions.
I write this character as leader of Rogue Squadron in the Rebel Alliance. While I'd love to have some Rogue (maybe even a better Rogue Leader) and Shadow wingmen to fly with, I'd really just like to see anyone step up and make starfighting a thing again, as it should be. Join the Rebels, join the Sithies... I don't care. I just want to have some pilots back in the skies.
