GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

:Gravity:
Standard

:Climate:
Temperate

:primary Terrain:
~Water Bodies~
Oceans
Lakes
Springs

These compose 85% of the planet's surface, 17% of that is fresh water and suitable for drinking.

~Islands~
Plains
Mesas
Forest, tropical mainly
Jungle
Volcanoes
Mountains

Composing just 15% of the planet's surface and scattered, Anthemoessa's surface resembles an enormous archipelago.

:Major Locations:

~Salacis~
Salacis is the home, the bastion to the Seiarenei specie. The only stable, underwater city they have ever created (given they are semi-nomadic, travelling from outpost to outpost throughout the year), Salacis is the refuge they value the most and protect more fiercely. Given the city is somewhat near to the Dark Water, outsiders are not permitted access to it except under specific circumstances. In the center of Salacis a tall edification stands, the castle of the Dremire family, where the royalty resides.

~Flessis Atoll~
Directly above Salasis is the Flessis Atoll, an enormous atoll that surrounds the city completely and the main islands the Seiarenei visit with more or less frequency. Its surrounding, smaller islands are also home to the Seiarenei. It is here were most of their workshops are located. The waters surrounding it are heavily guarded.

~Procella's Throat~
The main source of income for the planet, Procella's Throat is an enormous cave system, buried deeply underwater that is filled with gems and precious minerals of many sorts. The Seiarenei extract the sources and employ them in their crafts. They do not sell the sources on the rough, and simply take commissions and instructions if someone wishes to have something specific made out of these. It was discovered by Queen Procella Dremire and thus carries her name.

~Arva~
The second biggest island on the planet, Arva is filled with fields, springs and fertile soil. A part of it is of restricted access to the Seiarenei, but the native race has agreed to share most of it with the immigrants. There is one big yet not so modern city in Arva, founded by the immigrants and where the biggest marketplace is found. The Seiarenei grow in Arva the flora and fauna (caterpillars) they use to create their exquisite clothing.

~Nemus~
The biggest island, Nemus is one floating, leafy jungle that is home to most of the terrestrial native species of the planet. Another place the Seiarenei visit quite often, Nemus also has hidden mineral deposits and the sources from which many of their beauty products are derived.

~The Dark Water~
This place is the most sacred one of them all to the Seiarenei. The Dark Water is a sea secluded by wide coral reefs and of impressive depth. It used to be the sea the Seiarenei inhabited the most and were they built their city, Salacis. This area is only accessed by Seiarenei and even its proximity is restricted and heavily guarded by the suspicious ladies of Anthemoessa.

POPULATION

:Native Species:
Seiarenei, other semi-sentient to non-sentient species.

:Immigrated Species:
Human, Selkath, others.

:population:
Scarcely Populated.
1.5 billion people.

:Demographics:
Anthemoessa, being ruled by the Royal Family of its native specie, feels the presence of the Seiarenei almost everywhere. However, bound by a curious nature, the fish-ladies where amused with the idea of other species visiting their world, and thus selected extents of their lands and waters they were willing to share with the newcomers.
Of course, despite this, they still kept a suspiciously tight hold of their Oceans, limiting their access almost completely.
The land, however, had never been of much interest to the Seiarenei except for a few specific islands or sections of islands. Because of this, the terrestrial surface of the planet is practically a free land for the immigrants, where Humans and other species can be found in much more abundance than the Seiarenei.

:primary Languages:
Okeanei, Galactic Standard Basic

:Culture:

~Culture on the Water~
Life in the ocean for a Seiarenei involve working and crafting the exquisite objects they then sell to the people of the land, hunting for food and a lot of simple, necessary self-enjoyment. Physical beauty is also a central part of their life, and it is common to see these sea-farers looking for new ways of improving their appearances.

One of the most important cultural festivities of the species are corresponding to every Equinox and Solstice correspondingly. The first Equinox and Solstice correspond to the Thetys' Festival, a week long festival celebrating the Ocean and the Royal Family,Thetys Dremire having been the very first Seiarenei Queen. The Second Equinox and Solstice mean the beginning of the Darkwater, a much darker, ritual-like celebration in which the Dark Tide, also called Unlit, is celebrated. It often involves Seiarenei sacrifices of the living members of the specie which were not born with a connection to the Dark Tide (the Force).

~Culture on the Land~
As to what regards the land, culture is much more diverse and lax. The immigrants brought with them their customs and Seiarenei did not mind them differing from them in this aspect. Though the ocean and the islands became a big part of the life of the immigrants, culture on the land is more of a mixture, sharing some common aspects with the Seiarenei, such as participating in Thetys' Festival.

Sports are a central part of the culture of the land inhabitants and go in varied ranges from swimming, diving, fishing to climbing, hunting and different games they have developed throughout the years.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY

:Government:
The most accurate expression when trying to describe Anthemoessa's government it would be saying it is a very slightly limited Monarchy. The planet is ruled by the Seiarenei's Queen with almost absolute power. The entity that could limit the Queen's power is the Unlit Council, a sort of parliament formed by the most powerful and respected members of the specie. However, in the end the Queen's decision is final and unquestionable.

:Affiliation:
Dremire, Royal Family.
Palamir

:Wealth:
High.
Even if the Anthemoessi lack any real advanced development as regards technology and machinery, their fine products are of exquisite quality and often produced solely under commission, which makes of its revenue a very accomodating income for the planet's economy.

:Stability:
Fairly Stable.
The Seiarenei have learned to co-exist with their new visitors and neither of the parties causes troubles with each other as long as a certain set of rules is followed. However, it is seldom heard of small riots and protests provoked by the immigrants because of their discontent with the sudden...disappearances of some of them, most probably victims to the murderous nature of the Seiarenei.

:Freedom & Oppression:
The Seiarenei have established quite clearly what one is able to do and not in their planet. As far as one keeps to the open areas, does not disturb the local way of living and contributes at least in some minimal way to the development of Anthemoessa, the government could not care less what it is that one is doing.
Now, there certain conducts they do enforce such as respect for the natural formations of their worlds, having permissions for extraction or usage of local materials and a regulation on how much and at what price should specific products be sold. The punishments are probably a little bit exaggerate, most of them involving a drowning death, or some other sort of painful punishment but as long as the rules are kept, the Seiarenei allow everyone to act quite freely and enjoy a good quality of life.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY

:Military:
Seeing as how the Seiarenei are not a warrior species -at least not out of the water-, most of the army is composed by immigrant soldiers and mercenaries who swear direct fealty to the Queen. Even if the planet does not have much technology and it could be considered they are with a clear disadvantage as far long-range armament goes, they try and make it up with their excellent close-range weapons and a heavily trained army.
The fleet is not as impressive either, but enough to try and hold their ground should the need arise. The Seiarenei have left it to the responsibility of the immigrants to defend their planet, given they are not at all meant for combat on earth.

:Technology:
Just the basic technology the immigrants have brought with them to be able to perform their crafts and trades and perform space travel. The planet's imports, mainly military and medical, supply the inhabitants with that which is not produced in Anthemoessa. Besides that, Anthemoessa is practically technologically barren.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Anthemoessa spent many of its initial years in solitude, giving the time and the space for the Seiarenei to adjust to what they would be calling their home for many generations to come. Settled in the unknown regions, with the Seiarenei left unable of space travel, it was only up to time and luck when someone else would come across the aquatic planet, most of them the occasional stranded pirates or smugglers who would never leave Anthemoessa, killed by the beautiful ladies inhabiting it.

During the spread of the Gulag Plague, the planet was infected but not affected seriously. As soon as they realized something was wrong, the Seiarenei retreated into the depths of the ocean and remained there for many years. They used this time to explore, colonize and build their oceans, the Dark Water mainly, and only emerged once they felt it was safe to do so.

Some time after that, when the Plague had already vanished and the Seiarenei were once again roaming the islands, more immigrants came. This time, intrigued by them and with a renewed boredom, the Seiarenei allowed the strangers to stay as long as they respected the rule of the Queen, which they did.

Slowly, Anthemoessa started growing economically. Days were spent crafting and trading and the planet soon became a favorite of pirates, merchants and people of all sorts and races that came to the great archipelago in pursuit of its exquisite crafts.

Great fear was faced during the time of the Netherworld. Many important members of the specie vanished, the citizens were in deep turmoil and stability was threatened. Among the most serious losses were the two Princesses, leaving Anthemoessa without heirs. The Queen managed to settle the situation before everything went out of hand, but the princesses and most of the ones who had disappeared were to never return.

Notes: Planet will be subject to changes as plots surrounding it unfold.
