Mark gave both jedi playful salutes as they mounted their speeder bikes and rode off. It looked like their mission was done. Unfortunatly for Mark, he was the only one without a speeder, and he'd landed his starfighter miles away.
"Guess I'd better get going if I want to get there before dark" he muttered.
And so he began the trek back to the ship. He walked off into the sunset, his work there done.

Des stared into the speaker of his comm unit for a moment, his brow furrowing in incredulousness. Had this guy not just heard him shout it was an emergency? To simply invite him to 'go ahead' so cordially seemed ridiculous to him. He had to stop himself from calling the other Padawan a dumbass over the comms. Instead, he went on to the more pressing matters. "Cotarin, there's a bomb threat at the embassy," he said into the reciever, forgoing any use of titles or pomp. "There is a bomb in the embassy," he repeated. "I aint got any details. Get some search parties going or something."

As the speeder came up on the embassy and slowed, Des jumped out from the passenger seat before the vehicle had come to a full stop. He hit the ground running, swaying and flailing his arms to keep from hitting the ground face first. He saw there was another Jedi near the entrance, and there seemed to be troops posted at the exit. Good thinking. Either Cotarin worked really fast, or she had something to do with that.

He headed straight for the entrance at a dead run, waving at the other Jedi to join him. "Come on!" he called, only now noticing she had a youngling with her. "This aint no time for babysitting. Leave the kid," he said. "Des Kovak, Jedi Padawan," he said hurriedly, out of breath, to the soldiers blocking the entrance. "I need to get inside. There's a bomb threat. You guys keep watch here, and keep an eye out for Prindaar Freedom." There was no time for further introductions. Whether the other Jedi came or not, whether Voidstalker came or not, and regardless of what the kid did, Des brushed his way past the sentries and resumed his run. He didn't really have any idea of where he was, where to go or where to start, let alone how to find any bombers in a building as massive as the embassy, but time was not on his side and he'd be damned if he was going to stand around talking about it.

Des Kovak said:

Dair's face drained of color as he heard the words over the communicator. He turned to those around him, who had all heard the same pronouncement.

"Evacuate this building, quickly and quietly." Dair ordered to the nearest padawan. She nodded and organized several others to begin ushering people out. A few of the Antarian dignitaries protested, but were quickly quieted with the news of the bomb threat.

Dair had felt the disturbance, but he had been so preoccupied that he ignored it. Now there was the chance that all of their effort had gone to waste. Dair returned to the commlink and replied to Des Kovak.

"I got it, we are evacuating quietly. Where do you think the most likely placement for these bombs would be?" Dair withdrew from his outer robes and pulled Winter from his belt, though he didn't activate it quite yet.

Elsewhere in the Embassy

"Shit!" The terrorist leader cursed as he saw the republic troops cordon off the area and several jedi show up. That meant that something had gone wrong. He was sure they were going to be evacuating the dignitaries, that meant that this might be all for naught. "They know...they must have gotten to someone." He looked around at his men, most had only pistols, though a few had blaster rifles. All had knives, but against lightsabers they were next to useless.

He veritably froze, still not out of the basement, but needing to decide whether dying for the cause would be worth it. If so many Jedi were here, what happened to the base on Antar 5?

Megan nodded to Dymo,

"I'm sorry Dymo. But nobody should be going inside a building with a bomb inside."

Kovak's message was loud and clear on the Jedi wide-ban. Bomb threat. Embassy. Thank goodness Padawan Cotarin had the leadership skills to begin the evacuation. Already the front doors were slipping open with people coming out. Alas, it did appear that Padawan Kovak was also running in,

"Wait! Kovak!"

Too late. Man was on a mission. Not even the Republic Troopers had time to stop him.

"Darn it. So much for nobody going inside. Oh boy."

She rubbed her forehead as another Sergeant approached.

"Ma'am. We can't contain the situation here. Searching all of these people for evidence will be impossible. We don't know the difference between an Antarian and a Terrorist."

"I understand Sergeant. We need to work with the Rangers to get faces and IDs. The dead bodies still had their IDs on them. That means we are looking at slicers amongst the enemy infiltration team. ...Nevermind. Get your men working with that Ranger over there. And get our people into protective custody asap."

"The delegation is mostly Jedi. Jedi Cotarin and Jedi Kovak are still inside?"

"They're big boys. They'll be out shortly."

"Understood ma'am. Time to play ball with the locals. Damn. Thought we'd have more time to get chummy. Oh well. Here goes nothing."

"The Force will be with you Sergeant. Godspeed."

Megan nodded as the trooper took his leave to cordinate the withdrawal. Too many suspects to deal with alone. The Rangers would need to back them up to get all these faces with names. Good old fashioned police work. Oh bother. Rhymes walked back to the Republic Perimeter and got on the radio again.

No suspicious persons reported thus far and no physical bomb sited on the exterior of the building. They were in a holding pattern outside until something changed or something blew up.

"...Welp. Here we go again."

As Des pushed his way through the throng of nervous people, his personal commlink bleeped and he activated it again. Cotarin again, with a question. "I don't know much about bombs, where would you put a bomb? Public area with lots of people? But you'd have spotted that wouldn't you?" Des said into the comms device, his tone as much a question as a suggestion. "So maybe somewhere less public then, that would still take out a lot of people or the building. I don't think these terrorists have access to the high grade stuff, so they'd have to place it in a strategic place."

Now that Des was clear of the larger mass of people, others still passing hurriedly in small groups, he started bursting into rooms at random. He found most of them empty, and moved on quickly. As far as he knew, the bombers could be anywhere. Once, he found a pair of Gotal who had hidden themselves away together in a room, locked in an embrace. Des didn't even want to consider the implications here, and simply told them the building was being evacuated before moving on hurriedly.
