Intent: An explosive device designed to destroy enemy ships of fleets
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Mystic Tekk
Model: Mk. I
Affiliation: Black Sun Syndicate
Material: Steel, Baradium, Collapsium Gas
Modularity: No
Production: Limited
Description: Traditionally, seismic charges have been used by private organizations to clear asteroid fields. However, they could also be used as rudimentary mines and weapons during space battles. Now, Mystic Tekk is taking this to a whole new level. They have taken the device's traditional design and amped it up, turning it into a very effective weapon. First off, they have changed the power of the blast. It can now tear through tempered durasteel like a hot knife through butter, and can even punch through some harder materials such as Impervium. It can be activated remotely, or set on a timer. It also has a dial that can adjust the blast radius. This can range anywhere from 30 meters to a kilometer. Given the fact that this device's explosion uses neither radiation nor physical projectiles, it cannot be stopped by most shields (Ray, Particle, Deflector, etc.) Unfortunately, if used without extreme care, it can easily backfire on the user. This device can be extremely deadly to both the target and the user. It has the remote activation range of up to 25 kilometers, so as no to put the operator in harm's way. It can be deployed any number of ways. It could be released through a back hatch, dropped like a bomb, or deployed by an individual in space to put it in just the right position. Upon explosion, it will punch through or dent whatever it comes in contact with. The size of the ship matters not, only what it's constructed of. Materials such as durasteel will be easily destroyed, while Impervium will be harder. The damage percentile will obviously be smaller in accordance with the size of the ship, given a starfighter being cleaved will have more of an effect then the same thing happening to a much larger ship.
