GENERAL INFO

Media Name: Annihilation of Formos

Format: Holonet news article

Distribution: Common

Length: Varies depending on publisher

Description: Media covering Formos' fall was much more comprehensive and detailed than previous articles covering Bryn'adul invasions. Formos' communications to the rest of the Kessel sector made up the brunt of the report and gave a terrifying image of what the Galaxy faced. Although a frontier world with not much of an economy beyond illicit trade, its siege and subsequent annihilation had a resounding impact on the geopolitics of the Kessel sector.

SOCIAL INFO

Author: nondescript media platform from Kessel

Publisher: various news outlets across the Galaxy

Reception: Formos' destruction passed on deaf ears to the majority of the Galaxy's well-off population. But the news spread like wildfire among smugglers and crime lords alike, with many wealthy criminals pushing for action against the growing threat in the form of bribery and lobbying. The annihilation of Formos was the first world to be met with genuine concern and outcry.

CONTENT INFO
The original publication, written and published by a prominent media platform on Kessel, reported on most of Formos' distress communications during the siege. After its destruction, more articles were written compiling first-hand witness accounts and post-battle investigative journalism. The news, published near 856ABY, was to be the first comprehensive report on the Bryn'adul war-machine and the Draelvasier species.

Excerpts from Formos distress comms during the Siege:

"Formos to Kessel, we are under attack, repeat, under attack. Biological invasion force of immense proportion. We are preparing emergency evacuation vessels. If possible, please reinforce, this doesn't look hopeful". (...) "Formos to Kessel Sector, all worlds, anti-aircraft artillery is keeping invasion force at bay but Asaren has already been breached. If we lose these guns, we won't keep them out another moment. Please reinforce". (...) "Distress: Invasion. Distress: Invasion". (...) "Formos to Kessel sector, all worlds, Asaren is besieged, we're trying to evacuate as many as possible but invasion force is targeting our vessels. Do not reinforce, we've lost this".

Excerpt from Kessel news article:

"Communications from Formos describe a capital-vessel entirely biological. What information we gathered describes large, 10ft aliens that are heavily armed and armored, organic shield-projectors, swathes of savage beasts that shred anything they see and similar creatures though more upright and armed with weaponry. The army present on Formos seemed much like any other army in the Galaxy, but almost entirely biological and of a ferocious nature unparalleled by any modern government. So similar to the Yuuzahn-vong, the question lingers, is this army of monsters an extra-galactic menace or one of us, allowed to grow in the shadows of the Outer Rim out of negligence?"

I'll be doing this review for you. The only thing that leaps out to me is that Formos should be linked as well. I'd also suggest a link for Kessel as well, since it is also mentioned throughout the submission.

The only other suggestion would be to also include a link for the reference to the Yuuzhan Vong. Casual fans or people unfamiliar with the Legends canon may not be familiar with the species that refers to.
