OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a gift for a blood-sucking parasit--- I mean, a lovely lady... So that she might never be too far from a source of, uh, plasm-- protein?
  • Canon Link: Not Applicable
  • Permissions: Not Applicable
  • Primary Source: The Sangnir
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Capable of holding a large amount of anima in the form of blood, and condensed life force.
  • The crystal itself can be used as a focus for meditation and Force usage.
  • Deceptive, since it just looks like a regular old necklace.
STRENGTHS
  • Vial of Holding... It can hold a lot of anima! And, well, that's it really. Just anima.
  • Alchemized, with small runes, it could technically help its wearer focus on the Force more easily. But given who it is for, that doesn't exactly do much!
  • Pretty... It's a nice looking necklace, okay? And in the eyes of a vast majority of the Galaxy, that's all it looks to be.
WEAKNESSES
  • It's just a necklace. Beyond holding a lot of blood, it can't really do much else besides sit pretty on someone's neck.
  • The hollowed crystal means it's not as structurally sound as it otherwise could be. Even alchemized it's full of weak points, and a well placed, purposeful strike could shatter it.
  • As a product of Alchemy, fellow Force Users may be able to detect it if they tried.
  • Under the effects of Force Light it would be rendered useless. It would need to be reconnected to the other-planes to be useful once more.
  • In the presence of Ysalamiri and similar effects, it would be temporarily disconnected from the other-planes.
  • A pain to fill, given the small size of the crystal itself. One would have to figure out creative means to fill it quickly without making a mess.
DESCRIPTION

Though it may look simple in design, the creation of this necklace took a lot of time and thought from its maker. Intended as a gift for one Alina Tremiru, whom Thesh discovered through word of mouth to be a blood-sucking vampire sangnir, he tried to ensure that it was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Crafted out of a hollowed-out Kyber crystal, the inside of which then painstakingly covered in miniscule runes, the contents held within are connected to a small pocket-dimension referred to by Thesh as simply the other-planes. The whole thing has been imbued through the Force, forged with the darkside, and feels almost alive to those capable of sensing such.

While the contents of the vial are not unending, and obviously require its user to periodically refill it lest it end up empty, it can certainly hold enough anima to sustain a sangnir for quite some time. Since it is not as fresh as it would be from a live source, partaking in the anima housed within is not at all preferable and thus the necklace exists merely to fulfil the need in the event that its wearer is stuck alone for an extended period of time.

Or, if not alone, then certainly in a position wherein it is impossible to partake without being noticed. People tend to take offence to being fed from, after all!
