As part of Project Starbright, the purification of the junk world Lydrax, Aurora Industries began development of the Anemoi-class Purification Droid. The new droid, one of the few non-combat models thus far made by the company, was designed to allow it to clean up the planet's atmosphere from the centuries and millennia of pollution the planet had been subjected to.
The droids are equipped with six AAX-120 Purifiers, dispersed in groupings of three on the wings. These purifiers are able to pull in a great deal of pollutants in the atmosphere, converting them into breathable elements such as oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. For dangerous gases or particularly noxious compounds, the droids are equipped with a miniaturized carbon-freezing apparatus that allows them to freeze such gases into small carbonite blocks that the Anemoi then transport to larger processing centers to safely dispose of these gases.
