And the Ground Shall Reveal It's Secrets

Sarapin

The ground heaved once again, straining as if trying to launch itself into the blackness of space, to escape the world entirely. The quake had been a strong one, lasting nearly three minutes. In that time four islands were lost and a new mountain range was born, for Sarapin was a world of violence and upheaval, and little that settled there found roots to grow.

But here, near enough to the red lava flow to be lit by it, but still far enough away to not be under immediate threat, a plinth rose. No, not a plinth. A statue. Or not even that. It was dark gray, and set in bas relief was a faceless form, Human-sized, Human shaped. How it got there was unclear; nothing nearby seemed to indicate it belonged, yet there it was.

Stepping closer, were someone aware of the process, they would realize that it was a figure frozen in carbonite, here, in the middle of hell.

Quinn had a feeling and she let the force lead her. She still wasnt over the failed trials she had done. But she would sit in the cockpit of The Time Bandit. It felt a bit weird not having a copilot backing her but she could work with it. As the ship glided through the cold darkness of space Quinn would think about her life. She would think of her fiance Ikari and she would smile. She would set the autopilot to continue the preset course. She would then stand up and make her way to the kitchen and make herself a cup of caf. SHe would then make her way back to the cockpit and take the stick again. She would see the planet come into view. She automatically thought of that fateful duel between Master Obi wan kenobi and Knight Anakin Skywalker. If Quinn didnt know any better she would have thought this was the same planet.

She would steer her ship down to the planet and upon impact she would kill the engines and lower the boarding ramp. She would climb down the ramp. Once again letting the force guide her she would come upon the block of Carbonite. She would freeze, this brought back all kinds of bad memories, she herself had been frozen for over 800 years. She would stand there for a few moments then she would approach and hit the button to thaw the person out

Something hurt. After a moment, Junneryll realized that, in fact, everything hurt. He was cold, freezing in fact. He could feel himself shivering, but he couldn't lift his arms to hug himself or rub warmth into his limbs. His eyes were open, but it seemed someone had thrown a blanket over his head. But blankets were warm. Why was he so cold?

He was standing, then he was not. He felt his legs go weak, limp, and he fell to the...ground, he supposed. His mind tried to snap to attention; he knew something had happened, but he was swimming against a dream.

Carbonite stasis.

The palms of his hands were growing warm, but his body was still shaking all over. He reached out with the Force.

Someone else here. Strong. Freed, or captured?

"Who?" he managed to croak out weakly. His throat felt like it was packed with cotton. The word can't had been purged from his vocabulary. "I'm...trying..." he managed, fighting to pull himself upright.

As he began to thaw out Quinn would remember her own carbonite stasis. She would remember what it was like to be frozen and what it was like to be thawed out. It was a fate worse than death, once you did thaw you were blind and felt like you were on fire as well as having been ran over by a truck. She would rush forward as the man crippled, she would catch him and pull his head up into her lap. She would then speak in a soft voice "Not to worry I mean you no harm, my name is Quinn I am here to help you"

"Quinn," the masked man acknowledged. "I'm..." Thatch realized that the mask of his profession was interfering with his ability to recover, but this person was a stranger, potentially an enemy. He struggled on. "I'm Junneryll Thatch. Are the rest being thawed as well? Are we safe? If the Jedi have found us we must prepare to fight."

Thatch reached out to the Force, pulling energy from it to revitalize him, fill him with power and energy. His vision cleared as he wiped his eyes with the heels of his hands, and as he stood straighter he took in the sight of the young woman who'd freed him from his carbonite rest. He looked around him; they were the only two present. "Where are the others?" he asked.

Quinn would look at the man confused, there were no others here just the one man and him alone. As he stood up straighter he would tower over her at her short stature. She would look at him and frown a little "You are safe with me, there is no one else here. I found you on your own and thawed you out. As for where they are I have no clue."
