And So, At Last We Meet

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Come now, dear... Alli must've told you who the top was in our relationship. Certainly not her." A soft smile ran across her face as she chuckled, taking another sip of her drink. "Redheads together, the satisfaction of being with my ex-wife's new girlfriend while she's busy drinking and drugging herself to death... I would want her in on this action, but she had an emotional breakdown the last time she saw me. Maybe you can help compose her."

She would certainly compose Ven. Ven'Rain, that is.

"See, there's one major difference you haven't noticed yet. I'm not her. And I submit to no one." A small chuckle escaped her lips once more as she sipped from her drink. Oddly enough, this meeting had taken a rather pleasant turn. While there no doubt was some sort of underlying tension, but that was to be expected. Two dominant, alpha females couldn't possibly come face to face and have a simple calm conversation. It just wasn't realistic. Then again, neither were the next words that came from Circe's mouth. Ventasia simply looked a the woman, blinking a few times.

"So, let me get this straight. You want me to convince my girlfriend, your ex-wife, to join you and me in a tryst? That is....quite the interesting thought."

@[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Indeed. And tell you what... How about we sweeten things even more? I know you've had your eyes on my lover, sweet Ven'Rain... I believe she could certainly be brought into the equation. Make this quite the delicious quartet." She thought of it. Her, Alli, Tasia, and Ven'Rain, all together in her extra-large bed, the smell of sweat and passon filling the room. It was a most delectable thought... But then again, when dominant females couldn't become the top, they chose to bring in bottoms.

Well, at least they weren't Tegaea clones.

For a moment, her blood pressure sky rocketed, practically going from 0 to 200 in no time flat. Ven'Rain was a close friend of hers, and hearing someone who was supposed to cherish her seemingly just offering her up simply infuriated her. As much as Ventasia wanted to blow this woman away at that exact moment, she had to maintain her face. If she stayed close enough to Circe, the chance to put her in her place would show itself eventually. Until then, it was necessary to bide her time, and bit her tongue. At least to some extent.

"That could be an interesting sight. Especially considering you seem indifferent to myself and Ven being so close."

@[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"I merely am suggesting it because I know how you look at her. Ven and I are lovers, but we understand that just because we love each other the most doesn't mean we can't enjoy the company of others. If she says no, I have no qualms or issues with it. Her choice after all." She smiled. "Besides, I saw how she lookd at you when she woke up. And you saw it too, as well as from me. I'd be glad to test who's truly most dominant in the bedroom."

Of course, Circe did have tricks up her sleeve.

@[member="Ventasia Terana"]

"How I look at her? How she looked at me? Aren't you over confident in your own deductions? No doubt we are close, but what makes you believe we were that close? It's not as if I was hunched over her bed ready to dive on her at moment's notice. I think your over thinking things." Of course, Ventasia knew evrything she had just said was a bold faced lie. She'd had a thing for Ven'Rain since their first meeting, something a little stronger than just affection. But letting Circe know this fact would only give her a bigger stick to poke with. And she certainly didn't anything bigger than the one she already had.

A deep sigh slipped from her lips as she spoke. "Well, at least your constant with what you want. That's for sure. What makes me so interesting that you just have to have a shot at me? Other than my looks, that is."

@[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Well, for one, you're my ex-wife's girlfriend. You're also sultry, sexy, clever, almost a tad manipulative... Plenty of reasons I'd love to have a shot at such a honey pot as you." She smiled, looking the gorgeous redhead over once again. "Besides... You're as intrigued as I am who would win when two intelligent, cunning, powerful, dominant women such as ourselves meet in the place with the greatest struggle - the bedroom."

At least, that's where most people considered the greatest struggle to be.

Manipulative? Ventasia had heard plenty of words used to describe her, but this very well have been the first time someone called her manipulative. Maybe she was to an extent. She poked and proded at people until their worst sides showed. Maybe she was manipulative, but could that really be considered a compliment? Eh, who knows? Once more, she raised her glass to her lips. This time, downing the remainder of her drink before looking back to the green woman. "You misunderstand my intentions. Where you see intrigue, I see bordem. Recently, I've had essentially nothing to do. And things have been far too quiet. I need something to ire. Perhaps you can provide such entertainment. And I don't mean in the bedroom. Though we may arrive at that point."

@[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Entertainment in what way, darling? I'm most intrigued by where you're trying to go with this." Circe raised a gentle eyebrow, the Vinithi most intrigued by what Ventasia exactly wanted. "If it's boredom you're suffering from, why not come with me to my homeworld? If you enjoy burning, bombing, and destroying things, I'd be glad to get your assistance with clearing the land on Serpena. You might even get to see the Irregular Navy in all its glory."

After all, only Circe's allies and potential allies knew about her private collection of fully functional starships.

"I'm not too much of a pilot, so while I love to watch things go boom, making bomb runs for you is a bit out of my league. In all honesty, my entertainment isn't in one particular area. I just want something that is gonna keep me occupied, and maybe even give me a few laughs out of it. Just know, I'm no mercenary. Your not gonna tell me to level something, hand me a sack of money and expect me to do it. So, all this clearing land talk is probably a bit out of the question. Nonetheless, it's like I said. I simply want some fun. If you say you might be able to provide that, then I'll give you a shot. Of course, if it turns out that you can't help satiate my needs, figuring out how my mind works will be the least of your worries. If you get my point."

@[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Oh no, not asking you to be a pilot. What I am asking you to do is bring your combat skills to a world where constant battle between man and nature has been taking place. My home planet, Serpena, has an issue with plant overgrowth. And we're talking extreme overgrowth. Think 'vines the size of small skyscrapers' overgrowth. We're looking to expand some of our cities to better reap the minerals of this world, but we need to incinerate these plants in order to reclaim the land with repulsors."

This was truth, oddly enough. Serpena was a mineral-rich world... covered in plants that would consume anything that wasn't shielded or that didn't have a repulsor field.

A simple blink was her initial response. She wanted her to fight plants? What was up with that? It didn't matter how tall it was, a plant was a plant, and that wasn't going to change. That, and Ventasia was a PMC (Private Military Contractor). Her job description included making things go boom and leaving a trail of blood and broken bodies behind her. Landscapes were not in her portfolio. Yet, here she was being asked to clear tall weeds. There was definitely something wrong with this picture, and it wasn't just the odd green alien she was sitting beside. But through all this, the talk of a mineral rich planet caught her attention. It was one thing she could use to her advantage.

"Fine. I'll lend a hand. But get this straight; I don't do weeds. If there's something that you need me specifically to do, then speak up. If your just pulling ideas out of your backside, then your going to have to do a hell of a lot better/ Just saying."

@[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Alright then... Do me a favor. Bring every single incendiary weapon you have. Grenades, flamethrowers... I don't care. You will need them, I can guarantee that. In exactly three days, I want you and your weapons to meet me on the planet Dahrtag. From there, you'll disembark from your ship and take a shuttle to Serpena. There'll be several random hyperspace jumps in order to keep any pursuers off our trail, of course... You'll be briefed on your first mission when you arrive. Sound simple enough?"

A soft smile hit her face as she looked the woman over, eager to hear her response.

@[member="Ventasia Terana"]

Her eyes narrowed at the woman as she studied her for a moment. It wasn't everyday that someone asked such a thing of her. "So, you want me to bring an arsenal with me? That's an unusual request." Ventasia's frame rose from her seat, arms reaching toward the ceiling as she stretched out. She took a few steps toward Circe, stopping as they face came face to face, just a few inches between them. Her hand rose to pat the woman on her cheek, letting simply rest there afterwards while she gazed into her eyes. "Good thing I don't question my clients. You got a deal. We'll meet again in three days. Just know, if this isn't on the up and up, if there's even a hint of deception, it'll be the last time you deceive anyone. And I'll make sure of that, personally. Until then, keep your nose clean, hun."

With that, she stepped off, heading out of the cantina. Things were seemingly moving in a good direction for herself. And with luck, when all was said and done, she'd have much more than she needed. The game began now.

(Continuing along with someone else I've brought in, too lazy to start a new thread, lol)

THREE DAYS LATER, DAHRTAG

Serpena was a planet of such great enigma that few knew where it was in the galaxy. It was a delectable retreat, a place for the planet's owner to relax and get away from the inevitable galactic war. However, the world's colonists were fighting a war of their own. The planet's plant-life had been used by the terraforming computer to wreak havoc on anything that came nearby, vines crushing anything that came too close, burying it under the dense foliage. Few knew, but significant technological finds were on the planet, finds few people would know about.

Finds that @[member="Ventasia Terana"] and @[member="Salina Aviner"] would unearth once the machine was dead and disabled.

Salina Aviner

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
The shuttle had brought Salina to the planet, and already she could sense the uneasy tension among both those who flew the shuttle and those who waited for her when she exited. Looking out she could not see it but she could tell the plant life was still growing, the machine that had caused this still working to it's confused motivation. She pet the top of her amphistaff, which was sill acting as a walking stick, and waited for @[member="Circe Savan"] to arrive. Once she did she said "I may not be able to see it, but I take it the situation it much worse than how you described it."

@[member="Ventasia Terana"]

How interesting the situation could become. After journeying to Dahrtag as agreed upon, Ventasia boarded a small shuttle destined for the mysterious planet, Serpena. Always one to be true to her word, she had brought a few extra things with her. What Circe had asked for was an arsenal. What had been brought was a small amount of explosives. She was no weapons expert, nor did she have an infinite access to such weaponry. Though, as to keep her word, a medium sized, voice-print sealed crate was brought along. Inside were various numbers of things including thermal detonators, incendiary grenades, flash bangs, concussion grenades, c4-type explosives, wiring, and plenty of thermal clips for her personalized blaster. It was essentially her own little stash. Her mind remained occupied as the small vessel glided through the dark of space.

Once the shuttle finally landed, her eyes tracked another female as she dismounted. Obviously, considering this was not discussed before hand, it made Ventasia weary. Without a doubt, she'd keep a close eye on the woman. Just until she figured out her motives, that is. A small sigh escaped her lips as she rose from her seat and headed toward the ramp, stopping halfway down as she took in the extreme overgrown plant life before her. "Well, this is nearly as bad as I imagined it would be. Of course, it can always get worse. And if I know my luck, it probably will."

"Oh yes, the situation's a lot worse, as Tasia would be able to tell you. Your shuttle almost got snagged by a vine on the way down here. I hope the incendiaries you have are enough to deal with these monstrosities." A pause hit her lips as she looked over the blind Dathomiri witch. She had foreseen the terraforming computer that had caused this planet to go haywire in the first place. Perhaps she would be able to guide the trio to their intended target.

"Salina, lead the way. We'll cover you."

Salina Aviner

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
Salina, looking back towards @[member="Circe Savan"] and @Ventasia Terana and nodded before looking out towards the vast uncontrollable jungle. She seemed to stare out over it for a few moment, which seemed useless given her eyes, yet also seemed to focused on something as well. She closed her eye for a moment before finally pointing to a spot between two mountains. "There." she said. "The station where the machine is. Right between those mountains." After that she held her arm out for one of the ladies to help escort her as they would need to travel to the spot.

Rebellious Vanguard
With a slow pace, Ventasia descended to the bottom of the ramp, stopping just at its end. Part of her was relived to hear that the mysterious woman that had joined them could sense whatever machine was causing all this....overgrowth. On the other hand, everything so far was exactly as she had imagined. Which wasn't necessarily a good thing. Her arms crossed over her chest as she huffed heavily, eying the two of them. "Maybe you should take point instead. It's your expedition. Not to mention the fact that I'm not dealing with the literal blind leading the figurative blind. But that's just my two cents. Not like I'm an expert or anything."

Ah. And to think, this was her being nice. Or at least as nice as it got in these situations.
