Onderon

Finally. It was the opportunity that Circe had been waiting for. A new major power - the Vitae Alliance - had begun to rise in the galaxy, And conveniently enough, they had a void that needed to be filled so far as starships and other particulars went. And even more conveniently, it appeared as though their leader was an individual that Circe herself recognized rather well.

Perhaps this would be what she needed to truly break into a major faction contract sphere.

Vulpesen's ship set down on the grassy planet, allowing him to step off and walk forward to meet his newest business partner. Of course, he had refused her any chance to go to Veradune what with the sith gunning for them and all. But now that they were on Onderon, he had no fears for her finding his home. "Miss Enigma. I do believe pour last communication was during the large Akala Incident. I hope my information was helpful."

"Indeed it was." She smiled. "The information proved most useful in the end of things... It gave me an opportunity to appeal to Akala as a person, calm her down... before she got the brains blown out of her." She shuddered, still thinking of that awful image. "I heard you're now running a new empire - the Vitae Alliance. I assume you don't have any companies manufacturing stuff for you, hence why I'm here to begin discussion for such." She paused, unsure of what to say about another thing...

"Um... How's Alex?"

Vulpesen stepped forward and smiled a bit as he heard how useful it was. Something done to find Alexandra, the map had been a last minute thing, done just before Vulpesen leaped through the rift to find his love. Of course, such a thing now came to bite him as [member="Enigma"] asked her next question. Without even thinking, he shut down his presence in the force, eliminating anything a person might feel from him. "Please, do not ask about her."

Circe crossed her arms in agitation. Assumedly, Vulpesen knew of the trial that had taken place. As well, it was likely that he knew about whatever had happened to Alex in question, and seeing as the woman provided her previous body, she felt it only fair to, in some way or form, give back. And her look would likely tell the Zorren exactly how much she wanted to know about what went on.

"That subject can be approached well after we discuss the situation. The Vitae Alliance lack ships and other resources, I assume. I would like to offer the services of Emeritus Industries in producing vessels for your galactic power."

Vulpesen narrowed his eyes at her and his aura in the force became noticeably dark. Annoyance? She felt annoyance? Alexandra had been his fiance. They were due to be married and suddenly, she was hurt when he didn't want to talk about the wrongs the sith had done his family? "Alright. Here's what I know. I put my mind through the force and sensed out my love. I found her, or at least what was left of her. She had been taken, then killed, and her body was ripped apart by those animals you call colleagues. You should know more than I. So considering I never saw her alive since she was betrayed. Yes Circe, the person who saw her alive long after I last did, how is the late love of my life?" '

He held his glare at her for a moment before taking a deep breath. They were here for business. He couldn't let such things take control of him. Hell, Alex would have likely slapped him upside the head by now. "The Vitae Alliance does have several contracts in the making, but more are always welcome. What is your proposal?"

"The Sith didn't kill her. I know for a fact that the sole punishment was for Alex to be sent into exile in the Netherworld. I was going to try and save her, but received no opportunity to do so." She sighed. "Believe it if you want. Or don't. Alex is an individual that's been very close to my heart for years now." She sighed. "But I suppose I should be wondering if you've given her a new body yet."

She paused, then thought some things over. "Well... I have some high-quality fighters and bombers, a lot of firepower for you. You know, enough to help you wear down any larger ships entering into your territory."

"And I'm sure you're well aware that bodies do not grow on trees, ready to be plucked from the branches at a moment's notice. In any case, only time will tell where my road with her leads, or even if it continues at all." He started back to a small building, a place he kept as a temporary home during his personal business on the planet. "And of course, we're always interested in new allies, weapons, and ships. But in my experience,most allies such as yourself come with a price."

"Hence why I make all my bodies well beforehand. I have over four hundred in storage - if you have her spirit, I can give you a body to put it into, and can also perform the necessary rituals as to allow her soul to be placed within the body in question." She sighed. "Well... What should I say that I really want from you? There isn't much, aside from a contract for production. Maybe the opportunity to construct some factories within Vitae space? That would certainly ease the logistical struggle of having to cross Republic territory in order to deliver any material you purchase from Emeritus."

A fair enough point from what she could see - that would allow her to not worry about those sorts of expenses, meaning she could offer them at a lower price per unit.

Vulpesen opened the door and waved on a light before heading to a simple table and taking a seat. Nothing fancy by any means, just a business home and a shelter from the wilds. When he once again started speaking, he decided to leave the matters of Alexandra, staying instead with matters of business. "Such is possible, though no ships will be allowed on the planet of Veradune for security reasons. Perhaps somewhere in the Vergesso Cluster."[member="Enigma"]

[member="Vulpesen"]

"Vergesso would be ideal, considering the resource-rich asteroids filling the region." She nodded. "I suppose Emeritus can begin moving some operations there for ease of production, if need be." Such would make sense - though 'move' might not have been the best term. 'Expansion' probably would've worked better, all things considered, but hey. It was the point that Emeritus would be expanding to the space of another major faction. "I assume that you initially want to see what we have to offer. If you'll give me a moment or two, I'll gladly get our catalog ready for you."

She smiled, reaching down for her datapad so she could open it up.

Vulpesen leaned back a bit and waited for her to produce the catalog which he then looked over. "I hope you realize something. In making a deal with us, it is quite likely that your ships and droids will enter battle against the sith. They might also be recognizable on the front lines. Is this acceptable to you?" He looked up to gauge her reactions. At his moment, he was wary of all sith and after being betrayed before, he wasn't in any way eager to be betrayed again. He had to watch [member="Enigma"], see how she responded to the possibility of her own betrayal against the sith.

"Per the terms of the contract, once you take ownership of the units in question, they are yours to do with as you wish. I very much would prefer that you don't try to attack the One Sith with them - I would hate to have to destroy some of my company's own creations - but if that's what you choose to do with them, then I suppose that's what'll happen. It's simply business, no more, no less." She smiled - the sort of unsettling smile when someone was being all too rational - and opened up the standard Emeritus contract.

"What specifically are you looking for ship-wise?"

He smiled a bit and nodded. "I wish you luck in convincing the other sith of such things. Arcanix wasn't so lucky as to write it off as business. Thus why Alex is not with us at the present time." He took the contract and started to look over it, his years as an apprentice merchant searching for any loopholes or dangerous spots that could get him into trouble in the future. Zarro had, at an early age, pressed the idea into his head that one should always be suspicious of any binding contract.

[member="Enigma"]

She smiled, letting him look the contract over. "Pretty standard stuff, so far as this sort of thing goes. Of course, it's iterated rather clearly that you maintain full possession of any individual starship and starfighter units owned by you once the contract is complete, or if the contract is broken by either party. Such is fair, after all."

Fairness was how contracts worked, after all.

He nodded to her words but continued to read anyways. "I was thought to never trust a contract, no matter who created it." It was true. Zarro had drilled it into his head over and over, even giving him fake contracts to read until he had spotted an adequate number of loopholes. "And ownership of the ships is the least of my worries in these times. Like it or not Circe, you are still a sith. And your friends int he order, many of which outrank you, do not like me in the slightest."

After voicing his reasons his eyes once more focused on the words, scanning for anything that could be used against him in the future. He couldn't afford to mess up. Men would stick their lives on the fleets provided by these contracts and it was up to him to make sure those men didn't risk themselves that might blow up for shooting at the wrong target.

"Whatever you say. A good deal of them did kill me without batting an eyelash, after all..." She sighed, waiting for the Zorren to finish looking over all of the contract. The sooner she could conclude this business arrangement, the better - and perhaps she could finally expand into another faction to allow for the proper amount of growth.

Perhaps. Maybe. Who knew?

"Redemption to your brethren gives the perfect motive." It wasn't an accusation, simply a fact. No matter how skeptical he might sound, Vulpesen did want to trust Circe. It was just that he couldn't afford to trust and be wrong; with her, or anyone. His head finally ifted fromt he document and he pulled out a pen before signing his name. Vulpesen Espadus Torrevaso. "It seems good to me."

"Excellent." She ignored for the moment that he had written directly onto the datapad in question. "They're hardly my brethren. I prefer those who don't try to kill me, or who don't have an insatiable urge to remove me from the existence of the living. Of course I can come back... But dying becomes more and more unpleasant every time it happens." She paused.

"What specifically are you interested in ordering from us?"
