Private An Unfamiliar Familiarity

At certain moments one must take the time to reflect upon their past. To better understand what path is needed to move forward. Draven was a bit too caught up to really invest much in doing that at this moment. This is probably one of the fewer times Draven didn't actively try and meditate to seek guidance. As instead he had been drawn to a peculiar predicament. Which heavily aided him into understanding the need for him to craft lightsaber. In fact he probably had been ignoring it for awhile now. Between his stranded period of time on Weik. To a prisoner break. To many more instances of screwing around which had taken up his time prior to a slip which had landed him.. Well he wasn't fully ready to face that part of his life.

Instead he was ready and rearing to get his journey underway. He just needed to figure out how to get a hold of a ship.. Again. Draven's experience with spacecraft was not the most stellar. In fact he tended to be quite talented at loosing them, or crashing them. That or in instances a bit of both. So, really at this point he figured it was best to seek out someone who might be able to aid him in his most recent journey. As he set out to finally gather himself a crystal as well as the parts to craft himself his weapon.

Until such time as he found his prospective partner. Draven headed to the courtyard and began to practice his martial forms. For some reason he was a bit more.. Angered towards the galaxy then he typically was. If angered was even the proper word. He was simultaneously upset, disappointed, and trying to process how to find his balance once more. While normally quite passive. This was the first day in awhile Draven did not hold back against his sparring partners. Except for ensuring injuries which were irreparable did not occur.

Aayla had just come from an intense form of training herself, using several training drones to practice deflecting blaster shots. The intense being that it wasn't really meant to be passed. Eventually, the one undergoing the test would succumb to it, or should in any case. The idea of it transcended passing, and ran along the lines of preparing for the worst, and being able to perform. Walking past the courtyard, she felt it. Like a light ebb of malcontent whispering just out of her auditory range, and yet able to be sensed all the same. Her gait slowed, peering over to her right, and resting eyes on him through the viewports.

She was certainly spent from her day, but could feel that he needed someone. She knew this because it was her in the training room alone at one point, trying her best for no audience. Wanting to excel while others either failed to care, or even look her way warmly. Aayla shook her head preemptively, and would move to pass through the sliding doors.

"Do you mind if I join you?"

She asked him, her voice buttery and light; though she was borderline exhausted. Yet still, she stood at attention, hands clasped as the small of her back as she waited for his permission to move near him in the courtyard, The Silver hues of her eyes looking him over with curiosity.

Draven continued this workout in a seemingly unyielding manner. Till he stilled some and tensed. Finding a presence had approached. In fact it wasn't her life force or her force signature which alerted him. It was the sudden fatigue and at the same time sense of.. Well, Draven really couldn't contemplate the full extent of the other emotions which waved over him. Both unexpectedly and in an unwelcome light. As he shook his head and did his best to renew his practice.

Finally, a voice broke out and despite Draven's intention not being hostile he gritted his teeth, and tensed more. Before the fatigue struck him again and with a deep sigh he relaxed his muscles. Took a deep breath and worked to calm himself. It took but a fleeting moment to accomplish. "I apologize, though I'm finishing my training and was about to be done." His tone indicating a hesitant truthfulness to his resolve. As if not contesting with the blasted ability he had. He probably would of gone more rounds. The fire behind his eyes, deep within the steel grey hues made it evident. Miraculously, the fire wasn't malicious. Despite it treading dangerously close to a fine line, which Draven was internally struggling not to cross.

When the rationale portion of Draven caught up. He frowned a little bit at his mannerisms. Rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Shook his head some and shrugged. "I thank you for offering." He stated some. "Um.. My name is Draven." He added in an attempt to awkwardly correct his.. Brash attitude a moment ago. "I.. Actually would appreciate your company." He decided. Despite a part of him seemed to hold discomfort at the prospect. As Draven was not well practiced at social matters. Let alone things involving emotions. "If you don't mind." He added.

"Draven..."

She said, as if committing the name to memory, though she would take this opportunity to move near him, and allow the light that emanated from her to be felt, and permeate the other. It was certainly not in the same vein as that of a Master Jedi allowing their aura to be felt to those around them, and yet still it was poignant, and viable. The fire in his eyes was hardly something for her to scoff at... Her of all people? No, she only saw her own form of vindication burning behind those eyes; it was a tough sell to their betters however.

If there was one thing the Jedi had learned, it was very easy to go from A-OK, to suspicious in these circles. As she stood there, she was still feeling that exhaustion, but as she felt there was still more to do, she would empty her mind, allowing herself to be one with the Force, slowly rejuvenating herself as she stood. Ultimately moving to kneel, and breathe.

"And who is your Master, Draven... You seem, troubled, though... As I am it is very difficult to ascertain why- you remind me of... Well, me; not very long ago."

Aayla would relent however, not wanting to intrude on his emotions, and thoughts though they were partly out there to be read; like reading words off the bottom of a slightly murky pool. Hard to be sure, but certain there was something to be read.

"If you wish, you can talk with me about it. I'm no Knight, and certainly no Master... I would like to imagine I can help you though"

She said, canting her head slightly and continuing her steady breathing to breathe life into her muscles, and help in the process of getting herself back into a fitting shape. She certainly wasn't ready to do any fighting at the moment, but to help one of her younger brothers, one who was very clearly still a young boy... She could, and certainly would try to do what she had to do.

The first issue was identifying what was troubling him.

Draven was a bit content to have a good solid whump come from something so radiant for a change. As he closed his eyes and took his turn delving into breathing techniques. His though were to steady his heart and relax his tensions. Sometimes it was solid just having a reminder of the reason the jedi were about.

When it finally came time. Draven tuned into her words. Listening while she sought to find the reasoning as to why Draven needed help. He took a pause allowing a moment of silence to pass by. While he sought out the answer he was willing to offer. Noting that he wasn't ready to express the truth behind what was truly wrong. Though also felt the need to at least jump out of his comfort zone to begin breaking it up. "I had a.. Unfortunate event recently transpire. I'd rather not go much deeper into that subject. Though that is the major underlying problem.

The situation which I really am in need of aid though is.. I'm pretty certain I am ready to find a crystal and craft a saber." Draven expressed and rubbed the back of his neck. He wasn't fond of weapons. Though growing up he understood that a lightsaber was more than just a weapon. While he had been holding off till he was certain he was ready. It was with confidence he felt the time had come. As the force had been reaching out to him and letting him know. In fact he had been on that mission prior to his capture. "My only problem is.. I'm not exactly the most reliable pilot. My track record of lost ships is.. Well it's not the best percentage in ship survivability. Partially related to the unfortunate event I speak of.. Though I've had other journey's which resulted in bad fates for the ship I was borrowing.."

Draven was hopeful that was a fair enough explanation for the time being. Though he had resigned to a willingness that more information might be sought out from him. Draven in the meanwhile studied the other's expressions. Trying to assess where they stood on the matter he had brought to their attention. It wasn't exactly something that one would find as a standard everyday dillema. Though in Draven's mind he was hopeful enough it was a worthy cause. Time would tell in the long scheme of things.
