An Organic Touch

These droids are... disappointing, sometimes.

Droids never were the same. Fighting an organic had something else that brought it all together, but with droids it always felt contrived, unnatural. That was what they were, after all. Synthetic beings would always be missing something. There was no emotion in their combat, no true exertion to win the battle. They couldn't feel the stress, the fear pushing them further, or the need to improve. But whatever that something was, it was what Tallara thought put her leagues ahead of any of the newest combat models.

She was testing that today, and thus far she was right -- the Knights Obsidian had received new sparring droids lately, and with Tallara off any assignments currently she was taking the time to test them out. They were alright, she supposed. She could respect the design and power a droid could have, but without the Force, could they truly be a match for a Knight such as herself?

"Training level nine, begin," she said calmly, adjusting her grip on the practice sword. The metallic being resumed a fighting stance, raising its own weapon. Six rounds in and Tallara was beginning to feel the pressure, feel better about doing this. She was improving, right? Whatever the result of her training session, she was going to knock this droid down a few more times. The two combatants clashed in the centre of the room -- if there were spectators, perhaps they'd clap at the display of steel on steel.

Eli found herself on Geonosis for a meeting, however it did not hinder her normal routine. Having gotten the meeting all taken care of Eli proceeded back to her temporary quarters. They werent home or anything but for the purpose of this visit they did Eli-Mae just fine. Once she arrived in her small quarters she looked around, the room was basic, as most of the jedi temple rooms she had seen. The one shimmering difference from the other rooms was Eli-Mae's custom armor. It was made for her as a welcoming gift from the confederacy. It was made to suit the young knights unorthodox fighting style.

Eli would quickly strip out of her standard robes and glancing at the mirror she stepped into the suit. Hitting the button on the belt the armor pulled itself form fitting. Eli would grab her helmet and place it on, with the click of a button on her gauntlet the face of the helmet would lift up folding back into the rest of the helmet leaving the gingers timelessly beautiful face open. Having her armor on Eli reached to the bed side table where she had set her lightsabers. One of a standard length emitting an a yellow blade and the other a shoto emitting an amethyst colored blade. Attaching them to her belt the lithe redhead made her way out of the room.

Arriving at the training rooms Eli saw the battle happening between the woman and the droid being relatively impressed with the womans ability. This gave Eli-Mae an idea. She entered the training room ready to attempt a duel.

An audience? Or a challenger?

The extra limb was likely one of the major reasons Tallara was so much more effective in close combat. The blue woman and the droid locked blades again, but this time Tallara stepped a little further in. In an instant her tail had lashed out, wrapping around the droid's foot. She grunted as she pulled the droid's foot out from under it, combined with a solid push forward on her blade. The droid toppled and the woman instantly shifted to pin it on the ground, particularly its sword arm and head. Droids, of course, couldn't choke, but Tallara's pin would normally be enough to incapacitate an enemy.

"Training session end," she said, and the droid stopped struggling to escape the lock. The Pathfinder released the training bot and stood up, shaking out her limbs lightly. It was then that she noticed her red-haired spectator. Tallara didn't recognize her, but she guessed that this woman was a Knight as well, considering she was here in the first place. She lowered her weapon and gave a nod to the redhead. "Can I help you?" Perhaps she'd get the chance to spar with an organic today. That might be a bit more dangerous considering this woman appeared to have full lightsabers at the ready.

As Eli-Mae entered the training room she heard the training session come to an end, she was just on time looking for a duel of her own. In her travels Eli had seen a lot of different individuals of a wide variety of species but she had not met anyone like this woman, her tail would give her an advantage in this bout should there be one that is. Eli was prepared to combat this advantage with one of her own, her armor was packed with several special features one of which was a targeting system stored inside her HUD which would allow her to easily track the tail of the other woman. Should all go well this would be an evenly matched duel.

As the woman questioned why Eli was here the young woman came to a stand still before the other woman before saying “I came in search of a duel if you could accommodate.” Should the woman say yes Eli’s face would change to one of pure joy as she prepared herself for what she was sure to be a fun time for both of the women

Well... I suppose this is one way to spar.

Tallara raised an eyebrow slightly as she studied the woman further. The other Knight was wearing a full set of armor and had brought two lightsabers -- the woman's language, too, felt as if she were searching for true to-the-death combat. Still, from what she could tell the redhead wasn't much more powerful than Tallara... perhaps it'd simply be a unique challenge. The woman paused for a few moments, then spoke. "I was hoping to get a good spar in today, before I take a break."

The other woman's reaction was a little... confusing, to Tallara. She was never all too happy about fighting, and not really sparring -- she could be satisfied, perhaps, but the kind of joy that the redhead expressed was unnerving. Tallara never really felt that kind of joy under any circumstance. Perhaps she'd learn something from the other Knight today.

The blue woman walked over to a bench on one side of the room, picking up her water bottle and taking a quick drink. She'd already exerted herself a reasonable amount today, so it was likely she'd be at a slight disadvantage. And of course, she didn't know the other woman's fighting style. She didn't know Tallara's fighting style either. Perhaps it'd be a good time to practice, she thought as she walked back over to the centre of the room.

Tallara settled into a relaxed but at-the-ready stance, her sword raised at her side. "Ready when you are."
