The pale apprentice of Darth Metus seemed entirely unbothered by being the only Confederate in the room. She was present to help facilitate a peaceable transaction for their allies, as well as to provide aid to the people suffering, and nothing more. Her nation did not require anything from either the GA or the ORC—Save for their uncontested loyalty. It was a rare commodity when for so long, it seemed, that everyone in the verse was hell bent on protecting themselves. The plights of their neighbors didn’t matter if it didn’t affect them. The rioting and threats of secession took place far from CIS territory. At the end of the day, it did not affect their member worlds, or any of their holdings. Regardless, they still found reason to come to Terminus, they still brought supplies, and they would continue to support their friends in a time of need.
This Alliance, the unification between so many factions, had to be different. There was no time, or effort, that needed to be wasted fighting among themselves. Not when they had bigger problems, like the First Order, or the Galactic Empire. If the recent blockade was anything to go by, this was definitely the time to stand together, versus falling apart.
Aryn Teth returned her polite greeting, immediately feeling warmth and kindness radiate from him, despite her obscure teasing. As always, he seemed to be the sun, the center of attention, whereas she remained a far off, long frozen moon. The Supreme Commander had requested that she specifically join him, versus one of the other Acolytes, likely to calm his nerves. He seemed put together and solid in the heat of the moment…But few knew him as she did. Few, had a Force Bond, that refused to let either of them go.
Srina’s focus was stolen as she watched the business-minded Sullustan settle in rather efficiently. There were no extended pleasantries, no unnecessary brown nosing, however, he did seem to want the meeting to begin. She did not know his function, not entirely, but it was neither here nor there. The things discussed within these walls would soon be made known to the public. They couldn’t afford secrets, not for long, not when the everyday citizen was threatening to tear the planet apart.
A pale an elegant smile crossed primrose lips when Shoma of Atrisia greeted her with a touch of learned formality. It seemed out of place in a boy so young, but she found it endearing, versus odd. She did not speak his language fluently but her strong connection to the Force lent her general understanding of most foreign tongues. It was touch and go, but when interacting the friendly parties, aside from missing minor nuances, it seemed accurate enough.
As they made their way to the table the young man pulled out a seat for her and the apprentice murmured a gentle word of appreciation. She sat down as only an Echani could, made of steel, and yet delicate as falling snow.
Bryce Bantam took over then, jumping into what needed to be said, all the while enjoying an alcoholic beverage. Darth Metus would have loved the informal nature of this, and would likely, against her wishes, have imbibed with him. Srina remained silent throughout, even as Aryn chimed in, using the tone of voice that belonged to the Supreme Commander versus her Jedi friend.
The Sullustan with ties to SoroSuub began to elaborate on what was being offered, speaking plainly, despite any sort of potential reservations. He made a solid argument. Srina could not really see any reason the ORC wouldn’t agree, unless, they had some sort of strong ties to the Hex being requested in return. “No matter what the ORC decides, as you are both our allies, the Confederacy will assist in any way we can. We have many cargo ships already waiting in orbit, all laden with foodstuffs, medical supplies, and general necessities that will be delivered to the most deeply affected areas of Terminus.”
“It is our belief, and that of our member worlds, that citizens not be made to suffer while awaiting the decisions of their leaders. We require only your knowledge of the planet so that we may direct aid appropriately. It is our hope that the riots and threat of rebellion will lessen when basic needs are met.”
