One of her favorite bars, the Jade Nova, was running a special on various ales and some of the harder liquors in their stock. Of course, they would be on the weekend that sector was running a local trade and arms market. More foot traffic, more credits. Xagi took another drink of her Corellian Twister, somehow having had gained a taste for the light, fruity drink. But it still packed enough of a punch that she could feel it without emptying her entire account.

The dancers in front of her on the table were holographic, as she didn't really have a desire to engage in small talk with the flesh and blood ones. Plus, it was cheaper to pay for holographic companionship. Two Twi'leks (weren't they always?) were cavorting around a projected pole, barely wearing enough to be called clothing. If Xagi was paying attention, it was only while she was looking up from her data slate during a brainstorming session. Between her drink and what looked like idle reading, her corner of the bar was very quiet. She didn't even look up when an argument broke out across the room between one of the bartenders and a very inebriated Gran patron.

She had her hood up but it was enough to still see the glow in her eyes and the long braid of hair going down her right side. As she took another sip, she tapped on her data slate a little more before tossing it idly onto the table in front of her. Leaning back, she looked up at the dancers as she rubbed her eyes and yawned. Mindless hedonism was usually a lot more fun than this.

The Jade Nova.

The establishment had been around longer than most cared to remember. It was a decent enough spot for getting sauced or for finding "companions" for the evening. When the Sith was a far younger man, it also served as a valuable employment board. The underworld's worst loved occupying a booth and being entertained by scantily clad women. Which meant this was the spot to be for picking up mercenary work. A few shots here, a few Twi'lek there, and one could find themselves holding a B-tier contract by night's end. It had been years since Isley had found himself here. Years since he had a reason to be. But, even the heaviest of crowns needed a night off.

Thus, with hood raised, the man strolled within the establishment and occupied a seat at the bar. A seat apart stood a woman whose attention was on the holograms before her eyes. She had tastily chosen her entertainment for the evening, and was nursing a beverage. A slight chuckle escaped the man. Even with her own hood up, any sire worth their salt could pick out their own from a line-up. "What's the drink tonight?" he inquired, before lowing his hood.

He offered a genuine smirk before jutting his chin towards the holograms. "Good choice. Especially the red one." Chef's kiss.

Xagi looked up from her drink, a bit startled that anyone would address her. She rarely got approached except for a delivery order or a contract. Looking over at the man, she slid her hood back. Another Sith, here? That was even more unorthodox. Normally she was incredibly guarded and suspicious and not for nothing, almost paranoid. But a few rounds in a well known (and well scouted) home location did make her considerably less so. At least enough for a casual conversation.

Hell. Smalltalk would be nice if it wasn't from a dancing broad. Fortunately, he wasn't!

"Corellian Twister. I appreciate it when a bartender can make alcohol taste less like alcohol." She took another pull of the drink and looked back as he mentioned the dancers in front of her. Sighing gently, she looked back at the man and nodded. "They're pretty to be sure, but..." She looked in her drink and then motioned to the bartender. "Double the fire and get him whatever he wants."

The Sigh gave the Sith pause.

The shadow imposed by his raised hood did its job beautifully. It concealed the raising of his eyebrow when the exhale fell from the woman's lips. Masked the paternal instinct that briefly claimed the man's features. Rather, he rendered a low nod as she spoke. "Depending on how chit the day is, I prefer the taste of alcohol." he remarked. She was kind enough to tell the bartender to provide him a beverage of choice, so he went with the usual. A dead giveaway if ever there was one. "Tihaar if you have it. Neat." The trademark Mandalorian beverage, fortunately, had made its way to the Jade Nova and Darth Metus had his drink in short order.

"Much obliged." he said, raising his glass in thanks. He then motioned with his chin towards the dancing holograms. "But...the real thing is much better?"

Thus the Fishing began.

She chuckled softly at his words. Of course she understood some days called for something that was unmistakably intoxicating. As the bartender came over with the doubled-up Twister, she exchanged the empty cup and waved her hand over the holotable, getting rid of the holograms and setting a quieter mood with a coiling, waterlike swirl pattern. Well, it was abstract and colorful, and it seemed soothing enough, anyway.

The bartender returned with the colorless distilled fruit spirit in a chilled ornate glass. He set it in front of the Sith and nodded at him. "Varos hasn't been in for a while, but we did get some Jogan about a month ago." Xagi turned her head back to the man, raising an eyebrow as the bartender went about cleaning up some glasses.

"Tihaar? Not bad. I don't know that I've seen anyone order any in a while." She'd tried it once when none of the other staples were doing anything for her. It was nice, but depending on what made it, it wasn't sweet enough for her liking. If she recognized the peculiarity of the drink being ordered by him, she didn't show it. Unlikely that it went over her head, being an archivist and all, but she wasn't the sort to go prying. Though damn if this Sith didn't seem familiar for a reason she had no way to place. As he spoke, she looked up again, then back down at her cup and took a long pull from it.

"The real thing is always better but..." Should she go on like this? He did ask, but it sounded like she was just whining at this point. Swallowing another mouthful until she didn't care, she looked back at him. "Between a lot of cross-galaxy travel for work, unearthing archeological sites, reports, contract work that keep the liquor flowing, and the occasional oddity that's my own prerogative, my leisure time is reduced severely, lately." She looked back at where the dancing women had been before and motioned with a gloved hand. "Sometimes it almost feels like I wouldn't know what the hell to do if I had the opportunity."
