With the few months that had passed since that time spent in a temple; it dawned upon the Baroness that she was still needed to appear in public functions every now and again. Of course it couldn't hurt to have a few friends to rub elbows with; be they important or not, everyone had their uses. The Baroness knew this, contemplated this as her servant pulled upon the strings of the half corset that stopped just above her stomach, which had begun to show a small bump. It had been about three maybe fourth months since the day; and her husband still thought that the twins were his, which was exactly what she wanted. A smirk crossed her lips as the servant came around with the large ornate gown that she would be wearing that night.
Aiding the Baroness to slip it over her form, the deep and dark purple gown flowed over her as she carefully smoothed out a few wrinkles along the sleeves. The gown had a two fold reason to be worn; one being it showed off the expensive tastes and otherwise immense wealth of the Magrath family, with the second being to hide her stomach. As she finished with the lace sleeves that ran from her shoulders to her wrist a soft purr filled the air. Looking down at the large nexu that was now rubbing its head against her side she smiled before running her hand along its head lightly. The beast had been by her side for many years now, raised from a cub by her own hand; and more of a protector than a pet. After all, the nexu remembered whom fed and cared for it when it was younger; showing more dedication to the Baroness than any guard would.
With the hour growing near she nodded to herself as she placed the finishing touches upon her cosmetics and her hair. Letting it flow freely like a river of flames as it cascade down upon her shoulders and back. A soft breeze moved through the home; as many of the windows had been opened on the dull and stuffy night. The breeze aiding in slightly pushing her hair back as she walked down the hall. By now the guests were to be arriving; with the large ball room beneath the grand staircase to fill with all manner of beings; mainly humans. The Baroness remained quiet as she walked to the large round balcony that over looked the main entrance, watching as her guest arrived.
Her fingers tapping out a small rhythm as the band in the ball room began to slowly warm up their instruments. It wasn't like a normal band; no, she didn't want any of that 'jizz' that the Bith bands would play in some dingy cantina. Rather she had paid for only the best musicians that had taken the time and learned how to play the string instruments that she was so fond of. Who knew, if they were any good, they may end up with a solid job after that night.
