An Ancient Shadow of Grey [Open]

Midnight | Jedi Temple | Grand Entrance

Every being holds two faces. Yes, two faces that his persona always carries and displays the outer one, a facade that is very artificial. The inner represents the original and normal. The physical is superimposed on the natural that alternates with circumstances congenial. The real always conceals behind the artificial and presents the synthetic for public approval. The face that looks composed, might harbour a volcano alive with agitating feelings bitter and another which looks seemingly disquiet might be reveling in the tranquility of spirit.

Hence it is difficult to judge any being by his outward appearances not withstanding to know the true being behind the impression. It certainly calls for a keen, penetrative vision. The extensive observation of a being's attitudes has formed the basis of a widely held maxim that the appearances are certainly deceptive. So never judge any being by his expressions.

Thus, through the grand doors of the Jedi Temple emerged a being bearing robes of grey that waved gracefully in his wake; a shadow in the silence of the night.

Solitude. Silence. Something rare on Coruscant but tonight she found it in the most unlikely of places, The Grand Entrance to the Jedi Temple. A rare event that see the Temple quiet, not a soul in sight and Iella took advantage of the moment. The foot falls of her boots echoing in vast corridor and reverberated around the walls. The marble floor reflecting her image as she walked, her Jedi Robes sat neat around her body concealed by her cream cloak, her identity is concealed with the cowl placed over her head and shroud her face. She hides in the shadow of it .. another lay of solitude.

She moves off to the right and onto the carpet, immediately her echoes end abruptly and the Hall is deadly silent. She finds what she is looking for, a round seat designed for the comforts of visitors to the Temple, but tonight it will be her's as she sits crossed legged in the middle of it. She lets the waves silence wash over her, calming her mind and opening it up to the force.

A gently wind blows through the corridor, bring with it news. On the whisper is the news of someone coming. She searches for them, a strong presence in the force approaches, one that demands attention and she is now on alert. So she waits ...

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
It was the same every night. Quiet, at least for her. Most nights, she moved about absent direction. On this night, however, Aika found herself within the meditation room. It was nice to have access to somewhere that she could calm her thoughts. Upon the ground she sat in a kneeling position, her hands clasped as they rested in her lap. Her breathing steady, and her focus simply on herself. The quiet was good, relaxing even. It allowed her to seemingly release control without having to worry about slipping into someone's head and reading their thoughts. Though something, on this night was amiss...

There was something piercing the the silence of the night, something within the temple. She couldn't exactly tell who, or what, it was. But something had arrived at doorstep to the Jedi. The small tingling in the back of her mind immediately broke her focus. Within seconds, her senses seemed to reach out to the Grand Entrance. She was unable to tell what it was, all she could do was sense life, a living being. This was good, to some degree. At least it wasn't an ominous darkness she felt. None the less, someone had felt the need to pay the Jedi a visit..

A small sigh escaped her lips as she rose to her feet, her white kimono-like robe covered by a long white robe. She raised the hood, resting it upon her head before turning towards the door. Maybe she felt like she needed to be a hero, or maybe she simply felt nosy. Either way, she was off to see who had come at such a time.

The grand hallway almost stretched forever; columns with articulate designs. He stopped midway in his stride and allowed himself a moment to take in his surroundings. He watched as hundreds of auras roamed throughout the temple like beacons of light dancing like wisps. There are many now he thought. More than he could remember in the centuries and generations he had witnessed throughout the ages. An exhale released and the cowl finally rested on his shoulders. The ancient one allowed his Force signature to burn like a supernova to address his presence to those who could sense it. An over millennium old soul had risen from his long seclusion, but for what?

From the cover of the shadow of one of the tall columns Coci saw the man stop. She sat straight now as her eyes pieced the his image. It seems to be the time for new and strange sights in the Order, a new sight she has never seen before. Then she felt it, his presence in the force alive and strong as he made himself known.

"It seems the ghosts are awake this night", she said softly referring just as much to herself as he, and the presence of another approaching. She replied in kind and revealed her force signature, her aura bursting with the white light around her. She stood but did not move, allowing her physical presence to be seen.

"How may I help you?", she asked, as he obviously was not an intruder, but his purpose here still unknown and clouded.

A voice had entered his thoughts, which was answered swiftly with a mysterious piercing and cold voice.

"I seek audience with your Jedi Council."

It was direct and firm to the tone. The ancient shifted his eyes, catching the origin of the voice. He spotted her with little effort; the faint bright light at the corner of his right eye.

Through the halls she moved, noticing the sudden flare in a presence near the entrance. The feeling was different from the original that had caught her attention, meaning someone else was there as well. She was beginning to wonder what was going on, as things seemed to become eventful at such at late night. A she rounded the final corner to the hall, voices could be heard. None of them that she noticed, though it wasn't as if she knew many people to begin with. As she entered the hallway, both the figures came into view, though she recognized only one of them. There she stood, in the middle of the hall as she watched the two. But the sudden demand made by this unfamiliar male raised her attention even more.

"A request to see the council? That's bold for one such as yourself who just marched right into our sanctuary. Maybe before you proceed to make demands, you should make introduction. After all, it's only good manners." Aika projected her voice just enough to be heard down the hall, but not loud enough to cause a disturbance.

His gaze shifted once more to the aura just down the hall.

"You wish to know a name? Very well. Judas."

He pulled his cloak back and nodded slightly to the corrective one.

Sochi was very restless this night due to the recent incidents with the fall of Jedi Knight Hion the Herglic. It was taking her more time than she had expected to continue to purge all of the negative from her body, never had she been in the presence of one who was so corrupted. Her being quickly incapacitated also worried her. Has all of her training not helped anything? She was one of the first incapacitated, and the one to be unconscious, and under medical care the longest. Though there wasn't nothing much she could've helped in that situation. She was only delaying the inevitable.

Since she couldn't sleep she decided to finish meditating on the subject and she eventually found peace, afterwards she was on her way back to her quarters when she felt a massive jolt in the force. This signature was strong, one of the strongest she felt. She had made her way to the center of it all and had only saw two Jedi from a distance. As she watched, slightly behind a pillar, she noticed they were talking to a man she, herself had never seen before.

It would seem he was the reason behind the immense force signature she was feeling. It was a little overwhelming, but with herself being there for a while she became use to it, and the feeling settle slightly; slowly. She took acouple of more steps forward, the darkness leaving her body and she approached the group standing slightly on the side of Master @[member="Iella E`ron"] .She remained quiet as she knew it wasn't her place to speak.

The smile curled on her lips as Aika approached and spoke to the man, now revealed as Judas .. an interesting name to say the least. His presence has attracted many this night including her own, and now Padawan Ru stood alongside her. Iella turned and bowed to the Padawan with respect, titles mean little to Iella, it is the deeds of the being that she looks to, for them to earn her respect.

"You shall be granted an audience with the Council ... in good time. This is an .. interesting hour to come demand an audience and I must wonder at your business them, however, at the point I sense no malice within you. In the light of day, you can send the request, but for now, we shall honour our guest, provide you with refreshments if you so wish and quarters for your repose", she addressed him as much as the Jedi.

"I think you can understand that we can not leave you to wander the corridors, so allow us to accompany you", there would be no refusal of this or they would have to escort him out of the Temple.

She gave a slight glance to both the quiet young girl, and Iella before looking back towards the man identified as Judas. While he gave the impression that he meant no harm, Aika couldn't help but be cautions of the man, especially following his demands. There was no way to convene a council at such an hour without declaring a state of emergency, which this wasn't......yet. They would have to find some way to keep him occupied until the morning. Or at least until a member of the council could be found.

"Judas, you say? Call it intuition, but I somehow don't trust that is your true name. However, if that is how you wish to be addressed, them so be it. But I'm sure even you know that convening a meeting with the council at such a time is....unlikely, at best. Which makes it all the more interesting that you didn't choose to wait until the morning, when finding those on the council would be much easier."

A side glance was offered to Aika with a stoic expression. The passive will of the Force was still active around him as he scanned her over.

"A clouded judgement at first glance with doubt in the mind so soon can be foolish and inaccurate. You do best to watch what that intuition tells you next time. Nevertheless, I understand what was said here tonight and I will yield to it with utmost respect to your temple."

He turned and continued to follow the other Jedi.

"Since you have not indicated what you wish, in regarding refreshments, then I believe we should all proceed to the dinning area in the gardens, there we can accompany you until such time as you are able to send your request. I think we all could do with some relaxation", she said as the mood turned slightly.

Iella moved and turned to walk toward the back of the Temple, the long corridor allowing for silence with the still of the night and the soft of the carpet. The gardens situation within the Temple court yard in the centre of the structure. Soon they reached the high glass doors which allowed the view into the gardens. The soft yellow of the light, washed over the many plants and trees within the grounds. Pathways to use to explore or relax. Lush green grass tended and maintain formed lawns and areas for meditation.

There are many garden rooms, or one to be alone in if that was the wish. The air held the scent of the trees in flower this time of year, and the life of the night insects buzzed about them as they performed their nightly chores. Iella walked out into this scene and smiled .. letting the warm Coruscant night bathe her face.
