  • Imagine this: A girl that grew up with a childhood and upbringing that would indicate privilege and be free from the traumas and struggles that most would have to face. A upbringing on the oceanic world of Corellia where one Skyler Targrin wouldn't need to worry about her next meal, where her parents could take solace in that they were guaranteeing their children the best education possibly in a pricey private school. Where the connections of her family could give Skyler the freedom to go down any path in life she pleased. It seemed to be a life style that was scant anything to cloud the headspace of it's practitioner.

    Yet something always felt wrong.

There was always something that clouded the mind of Skyler Targrin. A detail in the photo of her life that remained unseen yet poisoned her view. The way her parents seemed more content to use her and her siblings accomplishments and grades to serve as a silo of bragging rights at social events. The ways she kept noticing again and again the fact that some people just had it worse, and the guilt that crept in when she noticed. The fact that her parents were always busy and absorbed into in their own lives, which would leave Skyler feeling a deep longing for something anything. Something was deeply wrong with the world she was growing up in. Something that gnawed and crept into her ear at all times.

The destruction that was wrought upon Corellia was a wake up call for Skyler, while her and her family had managed to evade the event seeing what it did to the rest of the planet and all the suffering involved waked up a call to action and would set forth the events that would led to her fall. Finishing her schooling she immediately set upon trying to break her way into the political scene. Rallying as a progressive she sought to try and change all the problems she felt were corrupting the planet only to meet one man. Dex Luval, a senator. Charming, handsome and as humble as he seemed eloquent. He caught hold of Skyler's attention.

Soon she fell for the man and she began a relationship with him. Her entire world soon began to revolve around him and before she knew it, he was dictating her life. Changing the way she dressed, the accent she spoke in, and cutting out her friends whom Dex labeled as a burden, all of which to satisfy him as he enmeshed himself onto Skyler's life. The passion she felt in the moment masquerading as love had blinded her to the real nature of the relationship and the truth of whom she had pledged her love to. Soon even the prospects of a career in politics faded away, after all Dex had told her she wouldn't get anywhere with it anyways. Even when her mind flared doubts she would shoo them away unaware that she was but a fly in a spider's web.

On a vacation to the snowy planet of Carlac Dex would reveal his true nature. Tying her up in the remote estate he informed Skyler that she was just but a plaything for him and that he was growing tired of her. She had outlasted her welcome and now had to be thrown away he explained as the illusion crafted upon Skyler shattered into a million pieces and would soon go up in flames when Dex Luval had covered Skyler and the estate in fuel before lighting a match and setting it all aflame.

Skyler would survive as that feeling of wrongness that followed her finally calcified. A rage both at the world and herself ignited and she was able to escape the fire as she jumped out of a window and crashed through a frozen river after sustaining heavy burns and breaking several bones in the fall. Somehow she managed to survive to the next day and was rescued by a Sith would was there to meditate. Normally the Sith would have putting someone like Skyler out of there misery but the darkness he felt would prove to be Skyler's saving grace. When Skyler came to she was given one option. Rise out of the ashes and take control or die a failed cripple.

Skyler would become an acolyte into the Sith empire and quickly she took to her training. Powered by both agonizing pain from her injuries and a powerful internalized hatred for herself she went through her training eagerly lapping up the tenets of the Sith. After all it's easy to mold what was already broken by life. During her training she forsaken her old name and took on the moniker of Amur. Amur would over time rise to the rank of knight eager to take more and more power in a pursuit to right her failures and foolishness...

    or so she had thought

    Note: Wearing a wig.

Heavy Scarring forever marks Amur and is a constant visual reminder for the woman of her past mistakes, her foolishness. Her once uniform blonde hair is now marked with several patches of bare scalp. There is a long pronunced scar that runs up the right side of her face. All throughout her body are large areas of scar tissue that ache and cry in pain. One with a keen examining eye may even be able to note a few minor scars made from cuts when she crashed through a window. Her left arm is now severed terminating just below the elbow joint. Her fall into the Darkside has meant that her scars have shown little signs of healing are her to stay. Though with her change of mind and alignment there may be a new hope for Amur.

Her physical appearance ends up becoming a sticking point for Amur. Often times she struggles with looking herself in the mirror and now feels a deep pane of shame whenever she gazes at the damage. Seeing a reflection of the broken person that would rather stay a monster then try to mend the deep wounds in her soul.

Despite being able to potentially heal her wounds and enhance herself with cybernetics Amur so far has refused any such treatments. Initially out of a desire to keep herself in a state of eternal punishment, to try and embrace the pain and suffering that she once saw in her past mistakes. Same with her severed Arm. Now though her perspective has change and she begins to doubt whether the suffering is really worth it.
  • Strengths and Weaknesses
Positively Charming - Witty, flirtatious, insightful and cunning. Amur has a natural charisma to can come in handy quite often or inspire others... provided she's in a good mood.

A Touch of the Unorthodox - Losing part of her arm and refusing to replace it has some benefits. The limitation forced Skyler to refine her sabercraft and made her highly skilled and lethal in form 2 Makashi. She's also been learning to manipulate the force through her left stub in order to find a new use for it.

New found guidance in the Force - With the Darkside threatening to snuff out her existence and annihilate her will, Skyler was able to find a different way to leverage the Force. Turning much grayer in alignment. The Sith might not have the chance to throw lightning anymore but is now able to keep whatever scraps of sanity still remain.

Survival Instinct - When presented with extreme life or death situations Amur has shown that she is willing to do anything to get out alive, even going so far as to amputate one of her limbs if it meant avoiding death.

The Cost of going on - The Years haven't been kind to Amur and it shows. Whether it be pain from her burns, living on with an amputated arm that is now but a stub, or having part of her presence in the force get robbed by a dark sider that tried to assassinate her the world has been anything but kind Skyler. Every day is a struggle, and to keep moving forward despite of it is a victory in of itself to Amur.

Doubt Comes in - Deep down there is a constant insecurity and doubt inside Amur. Her intense self hatred having nearly caused her to take her own life Skyler lives on with the impact of the emotional neglect and abuse she's suffered in her past. While she's making an effort to improve herself, she still has lingering fear that she could ruin the lives of those she cares most about, and a deep regret over her past mistakes.

Vulnerable Passion - Skyler has found love and comfort in Kalanda Tishire. A woman who is now a center pillar to her life and one of the few pieces of happiness she has to cling to. Amur is naturally very keen to protect this at all costs which could potentially be exploited by others... Provided one wants to risk the high chances of it back firing against them.

The Body has Always Kept the Score - All the trauma and abuse she has sustained over years will forever have a mark on Amur. She suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result.

  • ARMOR: Sith Legionnaire Armor With a custom helmet as seen in the picture above that is functionally identical the standard issue helmet. A hooded cloak is also worn but offers no significant enhancements to protection for now it merely enhances presence. Another thing to note is that Amur is almost always seen inside her armor with her helmet on. Very few will ever see the Scorched Knight's true form underneath.

    WEAPONS:
Melee: Lightsaber Used and abused with plenty scrapes and a worn out finish to the hilt. Rugged, proven and been through it's fair share of hells. An accurate reflection of it's user.

    Thrown

2x Thermal Detonators worn around the belt

2x Flash grenades attached to user's belt

2x Ion Grenades also attached to the user's belt

  • While Amur has participated in several missions for the Sith the most notable event in her life was meeting one Kalanda Tishire. Starting off as a security check for potential Jedi radicals on the Planet Chad. Instead of finding a Jedi though the Sith would instead find a cute, innocent flower of a Dathomiri Nightsister. One who seemed to exude a constant air of innocence and joy one that even flirted with the Sith. Amur initially played along and enjoyed the witch's company until the Witch asked one simple question. Why are you in so much pain? Feeling resigned along with a rage starting to build Amur told the witch that her pain was the hand dealt to her in life and insisted Kalanda in order to stop herself from striking out at the witch. Though Amur would extend an offer to meet again.

The two would cross paths a few times and during those moments the Sith found a new found feeling build inside her. Her mind occasionally getting carried away with images of the two of them together. This had sent Amur into a state of mental turmoil unable to tell if Kalanda was having similar feelings and now having anxiety over the idea of falling in love, only to have her heart get ripped out all over again. Amur would keep any and all interactions with Kalanda private and act to actively bury the trail out of paranoia that a rival Sith may use it against her.

Her unfulfilled feelings would come to a head though when the two were traveling through deep space. Coming across a derelict ship emitting a distress beacon the pair would board the ship. Unknown to the two though the Ship turned out to contain a starweird nest. Amur would suffer a nearly life ending wound during the altercation that would leave the Sith floating between reality and oblivion. Desperate to have feelings be heard the Sith would mutter the three words that forever change to two's lives: I love you.

She would enter in a relationship with the witch after surviving the ordeal bringing her back into the Sith Empire. Though doubt would come in as an inner guilt began to hang over her. A constricting hand began to seep into Amur's mind. Wondering if she only used and consumed from those that dare showed her care. Doomed to hurt her love. Those thoughts tormented Amur and the Sith Invasion of NIO controlled Borosk caused her worst fears seeing Kala destroy her own arm to protect her. Darkness consuming her until she felt no other choice but to walk away.

A deep depression follows the Sith. Now just left to wander aimlessly in the universe feeling her body to be nothing but a lifeless corpse. During this period she would be nearly killed by Kalanda's mother Akelia Se'lai. The Crone would try to kill the Sith to further break Kalanda only for her plans to be halted by the intervention of a Jedi. While The Sith would be left broken and forced drain she would keep her life and with some guidance from the Jedi was able to set off and find an answer.

Venturing to Carlac where she had once felt a part of her soul die, she would nearly freeze to death in a winter storm only to find refuge in a cave powerful with the force. Passing out she would have a vision where she would confront her own nature as the darkness threatened to snuff her out. Her mind found herself desperate to clear out the poison that had clouded her. The constant guilt she carried, the eagerness to blame herself and her own self hatred. In a spiritual dialogue with the very core of her being she would feel herself shift and change. No longer pure in the Darkside and on a path of reformation she reunites with her Kalanda struggling to determine what she has now become.
