Historical information:

Amultie was initially developed to armor sleeper ships against the dangers of interstellar space and extended sunlight travel, but was also used in the construction of automated warships and battle droids during the same era. It was the primary material used to create the war fleet led by Hexus Dominus for campaigns to clear far away star systems before colonization fleets arrived, and worked well in the era of rare blaster weapons and scarce usage of deflector shielding.
