Among the Tall Trees (FWC, SJO)

Kashyyyk

She wasn't fond of Kashyyk Draco had fought here during the late months of her pregnancy and he had nearly died here. But her she was coming for her third meeting with the Silver Jedi. What was it about the leadership of the Jedi that kept changing? First Thurion, then Arisa, and now...what was the name?

Feth..she looked at Becca, "I've forgotten the names of those we are meeting remind me..please" Becca still new at her job reached for the data pad. A trembling finger tried to scroll the pages.

"Becca, it's ok...we'll wing it. But from now on know these things before hand. My memory is terrible with so many points of contact I can't want to insult anyone by not remembering."

Even though it was too late, she had...a girls name, a woman's name..and who else...

Grr..what was she bringing....offers of friendship, peace, and medical supplies. Her Tia had said that there was a RIMSU on the Kashyyyk with medical interns staffing it. Faith was also coming to check on them and to ensure their safety.

Once more into the wilds she thought and no pickles or ice cream to be found.

Moving along with the rest of the Free World Coalition's delegation, Camellia Swift simply hummed to herself as she wondered if she could be as helpful in whatever discussions would be going on as she hoped. It was mostly going to be simple exchanges of acquaintance and talks of joint interest, but should anything else come up the Rendili woman hoped that she could provide some sort of support in negotiations. After all, prior to the Sith occupation of her homeworld that had cut back her communications with a faction as far removed from the Inner Rim as the Silver Jedi order at the time, Rendili Stardrive had provided the Silver Jedi with a multitude of Hammerhead Cruisers and even worked to develop the unique Command Ship Will of the Force at their then leader's request. It had proven immensely useful when their sector of space had been invaded she heard at the time. She wondered if they still used it or had upgraded their naval forces past the technology it used.

Regardless of whether or not they used it, by creating it for them at the time Camellia hoped it might lend some leeway in any negotiations that came up especially if she could offer them something perhaps not quite as powerful, but at the very least as quality made. "Kashyyyk is a strange place for a meeting. I suppose it is rather peaceful though."

Silver Rest - Temple of the Silver Jedi
Kashyyyk

Grandmaster Kitra waited outside the entrance to Silver Rest, the newly constructed temple of the Silver Jedi here on Kashyyyk. It was a sleek structure, but it had been crafted with the care needed to ensure that it blended nicely with the natural splendor of the forest world.

The doors were open and waiting to receive their guests from Alderaan.

Smoothing down the front of her robes, Valae took a last moment to check over her appearance. These diplomatic visits were slowly becoming more familiar, she knew what to expect now. The delegation from Alderaan had come to visit the Silver Jedi on Voss once, but Valae had not held the office of Grandmaster during that time. However, she had been on the landing pad to greet the royal party that day. Master [member="Garith Organa"] had also been so kind to give the SJO a tour of their temple in the mountains of Alderaan, it would be nice to return the favor.

Her dark eyes shifted towards the Silver Landing, the ships would soon be setting down anytime now. Glancing over her shoulder at her fellow Jedi and Rangers that had gathered to welcome their guests, she beamed a smile. It was a nice sight – the Silvers seemed to be settling in quite nicely. Of course, it had been difficult to leave Voss, but she was happy that so many had chosen to make the journey to Kashyyyk – and happier still that their neighbors here in the core had come to greet them.

This would be a very welcome chance to solidify the relationship between the Order and the Free World Coalition. For her own part, she looked forward to some friendly discussions and perhaps a few new trade agreements – after all, the two factions were bound to be neighbors.

Kashyyk

And so it was with his trusty House Cpt. Jarrod at the helm the personal transport Andulf had safely made their way to Kashyyk. Which for the most part had one of the few places he'd been.... officially that is. Given his short stint away during the wars that followed he'd been on many worlds yet he spoke little of those time. As he kept them to himself in private thought on one side as he exited the ship he could help feel a faint familiarity with the place. Although he just brushes the thought aside for now as for seeming just mere coincidence as for the most part he'd travel quite extensively while in the university. Having volunteered in an expedition once or twice.

By which time once on the ground and looking over ahead he notes see her there to which he then make his approach. Walk over to where [member="Faith Organa"] was when he took notice of another presence. That of [member="Camellia Swift"] whom he met briefly once in a meeting a while back to which end no sooner had he'd been close enough that he then spoke.

"Your Highness..... ms Swift it seems we meet again. "

Kashyyk Temple Grounds

And so it was after spending the good part of the week deep within the farthest reach of the territory presented by the local Wookie to the Silver Jedi here on Kashyyk. Scouting the land and privately teaching as well relearning as much he could of his father's heritage as he could find within the Temple archives as well those found on territory held by the coalition. Thought his meeting with the other Kashi had been brief as well as it were few. He seems done well to adjust as he chose to continue much what he'd learn and try put them to practice out here. Where for the most part so few from the temple went or if anyone else for that matter. For as only recently had he learn from one the visiting Wookies that the location was somewhat on the fringe of the Shadowlands where so few dare to tread. For seeming there he felt the most stronger connection to something seem unknow yet somewhat familiar to him. Something which intrigued him so especially when he'd heard of talk of how one had come from the stars as the old nans from one the wookie put it. A stranger whom he'd had yet look in to for as much he wanted to time had not permitted him so to do.

Which for the most part suited him fine as it meant less distraction as much where he could be alone for the most part. But from time to time he had dared to venture back to the temple. If only to attend his duty to the SIlver still of which he soon found out was that of welcoming a visiting congregation from the coalition. Of which peak his curiosity if anything else thinking it could be a chance to maybe meet with his fellow Kashi or hear news of him from them if nothing else.

So after a short stop to the quarters assigned to him here, he changes into some cleaner cloths. And then proceed to go to the assigned meeting place where the delegation was to meet.

Kashyyk
FWC Delegation

Wearing his typical attire… Battle weathered ancient beskar’gam. Black lacquered plate mail armor worn by Mandalorian blade masters during years far past. Devoid of technology it was not fashioned like typical modern day beskar’gam. It was battle ready and still bore minor scares of past battle. Even the red cape was tattered and stained with blood.

Garith was not here for war. It was just customary for a Mandalorian to wear their armor. Unlike most of his people he did not wear a t shape-visor helmet. He did not even wear a helmet.

He was here though with his daughter Faith and her delegation. He was here to met a group of Jedi both his sons where friends with. Well more than friends, Garith understood his son helped to defend some Of the Silver Jedi holdings.

Even now the Elder Kashi could sense his son [member="Theodosius Organa"] 's influence on this planet. The young Kashi Mystic had used his influance to heal a Dark Sided Nexus on this planet.

"Faith”, Garith called his daughter’s name. “I sense Theo has been here not long ago”, was he still here?

Kashyyyk was a pleasant enough place. Among his fellow Jedi, Aidan was beginning to get quite comfortable. The trees were a nice environment, and the temple was quite nice. Not to mention, the company of the Silver Jedi was quite pleasant. They were an Order that agreed with many of his principles, and they had embraced him with open arms. It was a pleasant feeling, to be welcomed.

The one-eyed man was clad in his usual cloak, staying well away from the front of the Jedi and Rangers that had come to meet this 'Free World Coalition'. He was an observer, for now. He had yet to visit this Coalition's space, and he was interested to see what they were like. If he was going to effectively do his duty and serve the Light, he had to interact with and assist all kinds of people, but the galaxy was a large place. He had not been everywhere, simply most places.

The leather patch covering his right eye itched against his skin as he watched the Coalition delegation approach. They seemed like a varied group of people, indeed. A noble woman and man, a cat-like alien, and a Mandalorian. He recognized the armor, though he did not wear the helmet like most of his people. Curious. Not to mention, the Dark Side was strong in him. Aidan stirred, but did nothing. This was the Silver Jedi's home, not his. It was not his place to interfere. Instead, he watched that Mandalorian like a hawk, but not with hostile intent, simple. . . curiosity. Why come here? This day got more and more interesting the longer it went on, for sure.

While the workaholic was usually consumed by running the Silver Service Corps, Rozalyne managed to pull herself away from her work to join Grandmaster Kitra and the rest of the Silver delegation in welcoming Coalition representatives to their new abode on Kashyyyk. Relations between the SJO and FWC were already warm, but the Silver's recent relocation had prompted a new round of diplomacy as both groups now found themselves within spitting distance of each other.

"Grandmaster," Rozalyne said to Kitra with a small nod of respect as she joined the Silver delegation at the landing pads. "It looks like the campus is coming together quite nicely."

With the coming Coalition delegation in mind, Rozalyne chosen to wear a flowing patterned dress of shimmering blue and pewter, similar in style to that favored by Alderaani high society. To contend with the humid climate of Kashyyyk, the dress had been cut from dyed silk.

"I just had a chat with Chairman Cato earlier today. While he's unable to represent the TCO in person, he's open to speaking with the FWC via holocall to begin exploring the possibility of a bilateral trade agreement. I'll also be here to represent our private ventures within the SSC."

The Silvers were no Jedi Lords, but they did encourage economic intergration between the various governments they collaborated with in accordance to their mandate, to promote peace and prosperity across the galaxy.

And so it was that as he slowly inches closer to the meet that he could help but sense a strange presence. One which although with his somewhat limited training in the new skill he had acquired. In regards to regaining much of what he could of his father heritage that thus far eluded him. Given the fact the close connection he had thus far came to know was at best nowhere to be found. And so for the longest time, he had to mostly engage in this new quest on his own. Thought it seems may not be for long if the tide of change were to be believed.....

So with careful steps, he approached the gathered crowd.....guest from what he heard was a delegation coming mostly out of Alderaan. A place that although he believes he'd not go to and yet felt a faint sense of connection to. Something which somewhat perplexed him so thought these days much if anything did. As although he'd regain much his own memories he had still felt something were amiss about certain things. Things which by his own account was not something he could find any explanation within the Jedi Archives.

Hearing a voice, Valae turned to see the Deputy Director of the Silver Services. As always, Rozalyne was a crisp display of professionalism. Though their interactions had been few and were generally centered around business issues, Valae hoped that she might get to know the other woman better. But that matter would have to wait.

“Good to see you again, Deputy Director.” She said with a nod, and then added a smile. “Mmhmm, I’m very pleased with the progress we’ve made here on Kashyyyk.”

And as Rozalyne informed her of Chairman Cato’s plan to speak with the FWC delegation from a distance, she gave a steady nod. Sensing another presence just behind her, Valae peeked over her shoulder to see Master Wendigo. His gaze seemed to be fixed on an unfamiliar face that had joined them outside.

“Good afternoon, Ronin.” She smiled, “Thank you for coming to welcome our guests.”

But before she could continue to make conversation, an aide pulled her aside. “The meeting rooms have been prepared, Grandmaster.” The woman with a solemn expression informed her. “We have the beverages and some light fare ready as well, would you like them set out in the conference room?”

Valae gave a thought to the question, and then shook her head.

“No, please set it up in the main hall – everyone can mingle a bit before we get down to business.”

And as the aide shuttled off to do her bidding, Valae stepped back to wait with the others. No doubt, their guests would be along quite soon.

FWC & SJO Delegation

And so it was once he'd come close enough to meet up with the rest of the delegation attending the meet with the Jedi. That his words were soon cut short as his gaze turns to the imposing individual standing by Faith side. One who thought it took him a moment to recognize is that he was not in the same attire he once saw him in. That the individual who'd he remember to be Claire uncle called Garith was now in a Battle weathered ancient beskar’gam, red cape tattered and stained with what he assumed was blood. Now stood but a foot ahead of him leaning close to privately speak with Faith.

At which case learning from past mistakes and not wanting a repeat of it again he ops to reassert his stance. Thought only to a point that he would not appear weak nor questionable in the presence of the Jedi. Who as best he knew or heard was quite skilled in combat as they were in such thing as the Force. But then again before he could say anything further that they were soon met by the Jedi delegation. Who no sooner seeming to have to deal with some last minute preparation themselves. That he kept silent for now and stood his ground be alongside her Highness Faith and the rest of the deligation.

Faith nodded a greeting to [member="Camellia Swift"] and [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] , “yes it would seem you two have become member of the Diplomatic Corps for the Coalition.” She laughed then the ship was turning preparing to land on Kashyyyk.

“I heard they moved from Voss, I’m not sure why but the home of the Wookies is now the home of the Silver Jedi. I am curious about it all, I wonder if they will mind my delving into it.”

There was something else to that she had heard that her brother Theo was among the Silvers. He had not returned to Alderaan to home. Why? It filled her with concern her brother had been her confidant for many years and his diminished presence in her life made her feel incomplete. As any twin would.

As if reading her thoughts she looked back at her Father, [member="Garith Darkhold"] , “Really here…” Hope that he was still here bloomed inside her.

The ship shifted slightly as it touched down. The slight bounce and they were on Kashyyyk.

“Ok everyone best behavior smile and let’s play nice.” She rolled her shoulders and set herself.

The ramp dropped down and Faith began down as expected an envoy to meet them, “Greetings, the Free Worlds Coalition seeks to meet with the Silver Jedi of Kashyyyk.” She nodded, “We are expected.”

Diplomatic Corp huh? To be honest such a position was not one that the Rendili woman thought she couldn't do, but it was not one she would officially seek while still bearing the immense workload of a galactic shipwright. For now she was happy to help out with diplomatic negotiations when she still had a chance to offer her companies services in some manner. Regardless, hearing that the Silver Jedi moved away from Voss cut short most of Camellia's other thoughts. The Silver Jedi had been deeply rooted in the worlds toward the outer rim. Voss, Shri-Tal, and others were under the Silver Jedi's control long before the Sith and Republic even went to war before. For them to have moved away for Kashyyyk seemed strange. "Is that confirmed? The Silver Jedi have controlled that same section of space for well over a decade. What could possibly make them abandon their infrastructure like that for the Mid Rim so suddenly?"

As the group neared the Silver Jedi's delegation, the Croa woman had to think for a moment what that might mean for Rendili Stardrive's old contracts with them. The shipyards she had constructed within the Silver Jedi's territory were still useful for reaching the worlds in the outer rim out there, but if the Silver Jedi had moved then if the contracts were still valid she might need to see about ordering the construction of more yards and docks in their new territory as well to ease the cost of production and transportation. That aside, as Lady Organa address the Silver Jedi there was little else to do but focus on the present. With that decided, Camellia made sure to stick close to the rest of the FWC representatives as they went down the ramp.

Play nice and smile?

Did his daughter [member="Faith Organa"] really just ask her father that?

Garith understood why she asked. These were her friends and she did not wish an incident between her father and her friends. Garith was naturally a gruff man. His demeanor was rough and calloused.

For now he said nothing. He just walked with his daughter. Not behind her like her subjects. He was Lord Garith Darkhold after all. He had never bowed to anyone. If they wished they could try by force. Many have tried. Many had died.

But then again once he got closer and glance over at the ship that had just arrived. Peering over into the ramp as it open and allowed those that arrive to exit the ship. That he overhears one they speak and he turns to approach her.

“Greetings, the Free Worlds Coalition seeks to meet with the Silver Jedi of Kashyyyk.”

At which time as Ronin wearing one the wardrobe got close that he in turn with a slight show of respect received their guest reply back.

"Greetings and welcome from the Silver Jedi of Kashyyk your highness .....delegation am Ronin Wendigo. Grand Master [member="Valae Kitra"] had instructed me to meet with and escort you all to the Main hall ..... so if you would please follow me."

At that time he then took note glance over at them one by one, at which time, as he did so one, in particular, seem to no sooner catch his attention. One who as best he could guess seem appear be Mandalorian in stature which he figured was not so much out of place. Note how he hears talks of close ties between the Mandalorian and the Alderaanians but then again it seems to be more than.

For as his sense zone in closer to the stranger that he could not help feeling his curiosity about him grow. At which case catch himself before he'd hope the Mandalorian had taken notice. Ronin then pull his senses back away and instead turn his attention towards another of the Jedi who then began to speak. As he did so while he fell back to stand behind the current Grand Master that he kept silent figuring to let the formal proceeding come to pass. And pursue speaking with the stranger later on when or if time permits.....

Valae watched as Ronin went to collect their guests from Silver Landing. As he escorted them to the Temple, the Grandmaster would be waiting with a smile. Above them, the sky was dotted with a few clouds, but the sun was still bright enough to shine through them. On the whole, it was shaping up to be quite a nice day here on Kashyyyk. Turning slightly, she spotted a small group of friendly Wookies that had gathered at the very edge of the grounds. It seemed that even they had come to witness the royal party that had come to their home world.

As the Free World Coalition delegation grew near, Valae stepped forward and offered a deep bow of respect.

“Greetings,” She spoke with a kind smile, “We are very pleased you were able to come visit us here on Kashyyyk, your majesty.” Valae spoke first to the Queen. “We do hope all of you will enjoy your time here at Silver Rest, our new temple.” She gestured to the structure behind her.

Of course, she did recognize Faith and Andulf Teraan from prior meetings. She did not recognize that rather intimidating man that stood just next to the Queen. Her eyes scanned the delegation, she was sad to see that there was no sign of Master Garith Organa today.

“For those of you that don’t know me,” She started with a nod to the unfamiliar faces, “I am Valae Kitra, Grandmaster of the Order of Silver Jedi. It is my pleasure to meet you all.”

Turning slightly, she motioned for their guests to enter the temple. The great hall was a wonderful display; the tall cathedral ceilings made the space seem even larger than it was. There were tables set out with refreshments – local fruit wine, juices, and much more. Just to the side was another table with some fresh fruit and other light fare.

“Please feel free to enjoy,” Valae said, nodding towards the tables. “I thought it might be nice to relax and talk casually, and then we’ll be ready to move into discussions. That is – if that sounds good to you, your majesty.”

Faith nodded to [member="Ronin Wendigo"] , "thank you Jedi Wendigo." She began walking with him he looked familiar in some ways and utterly odd in other ways

She followed him through the paths of Kashyyyk looking about so this was where Draco had almost lost his life if it hadn't been for her Tia.

Faith smiled warmly at the Grandmaster, "Let me introduce those with me this is [member="Camellia Swift"] of the Rendili Shipyards, Count [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] of House Teraan and current Ambassador to the government of the Metal Lords, and this" She looked at her father, "This [member="Garith Darkhold"] my father." She had never introduced him to anyone before as her father. He rarely went with her on diplomatic missions. It wasn't like saying this is my mother the Dowager nope this was all new. Very new.

She looked back to the Grandmaster, "I believe you were among the Jedi on one of my trips to Voss Master [member="Valae Kitra"] am I mistaken" Faith moved about to find a seat. Yes casual was the best thing. "and please call me Faith I still can't help but think of my mother as her Majesty." Faith sighed a bit then this was going to be ok.

It wasn't long before the Free World Coalition's delegation were met by one of the Silver Jedi. Introducing himself as Ronin Wendigo, the jedi was clad in very elegant seeming robes that the Rendili woman couldn't recall whether or not it was their old standard or something new. Even when Rendili Stardrive had formed contracts with the Silver Jedi Order and built the shipyards over Voss her contact personally with them had been with just the then Grandmaster, Heavenshield, and Ayumi Pallopides. So she really couldn't say what constituted as the standard wardrobe for the Silver Jedi actually. Well regardless of whether it was the standard outfit or one specific to Master Wendigo, it was a nice set of robes for a jedi.

Once the Free World group followed their welcome party into the conference room, Camellia had to say she was impressed. The tall ceiling created an imposing space for them to meet in. It gave the feeling of a towering presence required to fill the hall, as if the group gathered wasn't big enough to make the space seem full. Nonetheless the head of Rendili Stardrive was focused on the woman they were led to, especially when she introduced herself as the current Grandmaster of the Silver Jedi Order. Even if she said to relax in her introduction though, it was almost reflex for the Croa to bow when Lady Organa introduced the members of the Free World Coalition. After all, she was a businesswoman, she was thorough in being polite and courteous in order to endear herself to clients. "It's a pleasure to meet you Grandmaster Kitra, Silver Rest is an extremely elegant temple." Still, seeing how Faith Organa was far more casual left Camellia feeling embarrassed as she stood back up and slowly went to pour herself some fruit wine on the way to her seat.

And so it was that with his seeming attempt to lighten the mood at the same time not make the same mistake. Of another misunderstanding or lose face with the one Standing beside with Princess Faith. That seemingly by some chance this time around things gone well enough across this time around as he hears a fairly lighthearted response from Princess Faith. Though it was concluded with a somewhat interesting undertone as the question regarding some aspect of the Silvers and their move here appeared to have come into play. Address by Princess Faith herself and seem chimed in by all those in attendance from the Coalition. Although before he himself could chime in and speak that an emissary from the SIlver appeared to had arrived. Greeting them and escorting them in towards their Main Hall where their Grand Master as she was introduced to them waited.

Take the moment to greet and offer refreshment for the Coalition guest at which time during the exchange. Then the introduction that followed that Andulf finally confirms the identity of the mysterious individual. As her father whom as far he knew from the talks he'd had with his twin sister was said had disappeared mysteriously. Which in a sense peak his curiosity as if anything else but then again figure this was not the time or place to entertain such notion. He no less let it be for now and once introduced spoke to the Jedi Grand Master.

" It is a pleasure meeting you, Grand Master [member="Valae Kitra"]....thought it seems I can't help but say its so good to meet your acquaintance again and I have to admit the Silver Rest here in Kashyyk quite elegant indeed in. "

It was then that after making the brief introduction of himself and greeting their guest before leading them off to the great hall. That while on the way that even without looking he could no less sense one from their guest. Seem to have to take a strange keen interest in looking at him in a certain way which in turn could help be a tad tempted to look back at. Thought after careful thought he did not think the temptation seems all too enticing as for nothing else other than satisfying the odd sensation or nagging phantom in the back his head. That thought he didn't have a shred of an idea why but just the same something about the group felt oddly familiar. Thought for the life of him he could not quite tell at the moment which in a sense was somewhat understandable. GIven that he had lost much of his old self and had suffered a condition which one the Master Healers concluded to have been. Partial amnesia due to some sort of hibernation type sickness that had yet be determined. So rather than perhaps offending or conveying any ill intent on his part or for those of the Silver. That could presumably stir any issue or troubles on either side he let the idea slide.

As he then once comes to meet up and bring their guest forth before the current Grandmaster he then moved off to the side. At which time the formal introduction of their own and the newly arrived guest concluded. That a possible answer came as one from the delegation, the purported father of the lead royal member representative of House Organa sounded familiar. Though it took him a while recall yet he came to theorize that perhaps he and the stranger he'd met in Ilum were somehow connected. But as to how or why he didn't know for certain thought at least now, he figured might as well have gotten a lead which to pursue further inquiry yet later on as his train of thought was soon distracted by her highness Faith.

"Thank you, Jedi Wendigo."

To which he could only give a friendly smile and respectful nod. As in the background, the Grand Master came along to then greet and converse with them. As Ronin figure to leave the negotiation and formality to the others present that he then opted to stand aside and watch the passing of the next proceeding.
