Ambria Night

Animus was irritated. Granted he was almost always irritated at one thing or another, this galaxy was good at creating annoyances. Today however was much irritating than usual. The main reason being his ship had crashed. It had been an old freighter, nearly three decades old and in bad shape but at the time it had been all Animus could secure. He had just come from an assassination contract on Empress Teta when his original escape ship had been blown up by an opportunistic young soldier. The said soldiers blood had quickly graced the wreckage, but by then Animus had to get moving. He had stolen the only other available ship.

He had been pursued from the system by several starfighters and escort craft, taking heavy damage before finally jumping to hyperspace. He had to rewrite and override many of the warnings to ensure he could jump to safety. He had exited hyperspace a few hours ago at the edge of the Ambria system when his drive decided it had enough. The explosion had thrown Animus and everything else in the ship around wildly as it careened into the upper atmosphere of Ambria. Just before impact Animus had cut his way out of the side of the craft, using the force to hurl himself away from the ensuing fireball and land mostly unharmed nearly a kilometer away. He had broken a leg, but some quick work and force energy had stabilized it well enough for now. He had to get to the Temple before he could fully heal.

Mind set, Animus turned away from the burning wreck, and began to long march towards the Temple of Naath.

It had been sometime since the where abouts of the sith lord [member="Darth Animus"] had been followed by the Sith Empire. The wheels of progress would continue to turn, treaties to lay down, wars to win and order to be maintained. The main attention of the Sith Empire was no longer on those deemed traitors or heretic, oh no. This attention was diverted to the Saaraishash. Assassins and inquisitors loyal to the Emperor himself to ensure his enemies do not slip past his ardent gaze.

Following through with the last known where about of this Animus, the location was punched in as stated by Imperial intelligence. Red crystalline fingers carefully took the controls of a Dominance-class Sith strike fighter as the navi-computer began to set its course for Ambria. The journey through the hyper dimension streaks of black ,white and blue shades of cyan forever stretched forward as the ship jolted entering Hyperspace. " Prepare the probe droids." A rather regal voice said. In the background technology signaled of with responsive charms and chirps.

Entering the atmosphere and landing on the Planets surface Ledgermayne was already reading signs of a crash a mile away from his location.

The datascreens displayed it clearly as did the smoke through the sky.

" Launch." With his command four Seeker droids departed from the Strike fighter to scout the surrounding areas. Each Seeker droid taking its own seperate route away from the rest to cover more ground.

" Let the games begin." he muttered relaxing some before ultimately getting out of his ship to wait outside.

About a year ago Cyran worked for The Sith Empire in their efforts against The Jen'ari as a bounty hunter. Unfortunately though for him he never got around to capturing any members of the former empire. In fact he kinda forgot about the whole ordeal. The only reason he ever did was because his old ship was destroyed from the conflict.

However, it would seem fate was going to give him a second chance to fulfill his duty to The Sith today. Possibly make amends after somewhat double crossing the government after working with the ORC for their latest conflict against The Sith Empire.

But currently, the zeltron was trying his hand at some interstellar big game hunting, which he wasn't finding himself to be very happy with. Too much time spending outdoors in the wild for his liking. Although he was currently under contract to hunt down a Hssiss and bring back its head and scales.

After hours of trudging around in the sand he spotted one in the shaded ridge between two sand dunes. Dropping down into a prone position Cyran watched it from atop of dune. For a little bit he watched it as it just laid there, seeing if the Force Sensitve beast sensed him. But all it seemed to do was wanna cool off in the shade.

Unfortunately just as the zeltron bounty hunter was gonna make his move something awful happened. As he stood up and readied his weapons he heard a howling in the air looking up he was quite surprised to see the wreckage of some ship falling down from the sky. He watched as he quickly make contact with the ground right on top of the Hssiss he'd spotted, effectively wasting a good couple hours of hunting now that his prey had been ruined. Holstering his blasters he let out a sigh and marched towards the crash landed vessel to see what was up.

He wouldn't let himself get too close though, not wanting to burn himself. The bounty hunter concluded that there was no one in the wreckage, and if there was they were as good as dead. Looking around the sky Cyran tried to see if he could spot any parachutes, but the skies where clear. If someone had managed to evacuate the ship they couldn't be far, maybe he could even get some pay back for how they ruined his hunt.

Animus leaped through the air into the large tree just in front of him. He gripped the branch above his head with his left hand whilst his right hand dropped down to one of the sabers hanging at his hip. He had sensed others following him, both biological and mechanical some time ago. As he watched, one of the probe droids he had spotted out of the corner of his eye came around the corner, looking in the spot Animus had been in a moment before. With a single pull of the Force, Animus pulled the droid towards him, keeping its eye focused on the ground. As it drew closer he activated a lightsaber and plunged it through the droid, waiting a moment before tossing it back to the ground. He had not spotted the person using the droids yet, but he did not want to make it so easy for them.

Turning, Animus began to take two steps forward before throwing himself through the air, propelling himself forward using the Force. It would seem the game was afoot.

Salis had been a hunter for awhile now, she'd been in a good few fights. Today would be a new bit of fun though, a bounty had been placed on Darth Animus and Salis was one of those who wanted to dig in on that. It was especially interesting, because at a time, they might not have fought one another. But today was different. She flew her Astro Class LX Combat Freighter to the designated planet reported, quickly heading down, she released a Wanderer_Scout_Surveyor which she had hooked up to her comms to watch through, and released it out with the intention of searching for the former ally.

She turned back to face the Astromech, 501-Z_police_droid, and Z65_patrol_droid. "Go and search overhead, tell me what you see." she ordered before boarding an All Terrain Rough Rider and darting out, it was only moments later that the Police droid reported coordinates of a crashed ship, "Do not engage, leave it to me, set the ship down elsewhere and pick up the surveyor droid. I may call you to pick him me up afterwards." she ordered.

She was doing more then keeping an eye out though, she was honing her force sense, focusing, trying to discover his presence rather then just a good sight of him. Soon she'd be upon the crash sight.

As soon as the feed for one of the probe droids had gone black, the sith lord gave no hesitation to check the immediate location of where it had fell. There was no time to waste now. This heretic was on the move. Seen clear as day to the naked eyes. " Your mine Animus." Ledgermayne muttered under his breath and gathered his energies that surged like lightning below him into the earth. The dirt and very stone grew around his feet, shifting him to a grounded state. Slowly and surely the ground shifted propelling him forward towards the last known location. Speed slowly began to grow as the Gutretee's feet literally surfaced atop the surface of Ambria. This was an environment were his apex abilities would thrive. Earth Shaping.

From afar it would appear as if he was going in blind but this was far from the truth. A blue light elipsed the Sith Lords eyes creating a bright light where his ruby red pupils lay. Instantly the physical realm faded away and the force energies around him came into motion around him. They moved actively and rest were the small flora lay. Light and dark twisting with purpose, Then Ledgermayne saw it. He saw him. [member="Darth Animus"]. His force presence irradiated within the force. When there was nothing else in the physical, only the spirit remained and his spirit shined with a chaos of dark energy. From this distance he would catch him soon if his prey's paced did not change in intensity.

" Good. He is here."

Turning away from the crash site Cyran would begin to move away from it and head back up the sand dunes. However, before he got out of sight from it past a dune the bounty hunter sensed something. Stopping in his tracks he felt someone's presence, but he couldn't explain it. A moment later he heard the noise of a speeder approaching.

Turning back he say someone pulling up to the crash site. He could imagine that they were the owner of the ship, but if they did manage to escape, then how'd they get a speeder so quickly? Perhaps they were investigating it like he was. Marching back down the sand dune he made his way to the speeder, there he saw a woman driving the vehicle.

As the zeltron back tracked to the wreckage he called out to them. "Hey! Is this your ship that crashed" He would be pretty ignorant to the hunt she was on, and if he found out about it, he'd certainly wanna take part in it to hopefully earn back some good favor with The Sith Empire. All Cyran knew about Darth Animus is that he had to have been pretty slippery to get past the Sith for this long.

Animus came to a halt, taking a brief moment to strip off the outer layers of his robes, leaving him in a simple grey robe and black sash around his hip. He clipped his lightsabers back to his side before tossing the heavy garments aside, moving to continue his pace. Ambria was proving to be a warmer world than he remebered, and he had felt sweat pouring down his face for the past few minutes as he made his way through the trees. Just before he was about to leap to the next tree in his path, Animus felt a brief change in the Force around him. A drop in the ocean that was the Force had begun to send waves that Animus had picked up for a while now. Those small waves were now almost tsunamis crashing against his mind.

Whoever was chasing him was drawing close.

Sighing, he gripped the lightsabers at his hip tighter as he turned around, leaning his back against the tree. Whoever was coming was too close for Animus to get away without risking the location of the Bunker. He had to drive them away first, or possibly even kill them. All he had to do was wait.

Salis got out of her speeder and looked at the ship but heard soon,
Cyran Vaas said:
"Hey! Is this your ship that crashed"
. She turned to see the Mandalorian, likewise she still had all her armor on. But that didn't mean she was invulnerable, so she kept her awareness on her. Especially as Mandalorians were also well known for being bounty hunters, and that could mean competition. Still, lying about it being hers or just straight out fighting wasn't the best plan.

She looked back at the ship and started trying to take a few quick glances at different spots, trying to figure out if she could deem which direction he headed off in, or if he was injured. This surely had to be him right. "Nope, but I'll be finding whoever it was. And we'll see what happens after that." obviously the plan was either kill or capture him, but she didn't really care to be to much more then vague just yet.

Then she felt a presence and motion, as [member="Darth Ledgermayne"] darted across the ground through use of the force towards [member="Darth Animus"], focusing so deeply on it, it caught her attention even if she didn't see exactly where he was yet. She lifted her head up and put a finger to her ear as if she'd heard something over comms, that way she could avoid giving off any realization she was a force user, she would then silently type in a general area for her freighter to go and look over, particularly to take a distanced look for where they were at,

"Just got in something interesting, I think that's the target." She said to herself hopping back into her speeder, just had to mention him as a target. Screw it, he was a mandalorian, better just get it over with, "Oh yeah, this ones mine." she said turning the speeder, "If you want, work with me, split the reward. If not, don't get in the way." she said looked at the mandalorian quickly, though she had a hand on the blaster at her side just in case. She had to set out soon if she wanted to catch up. If there was another sith or someone with as strong a force connection as that, she had to be on the right track. And she wanted to get to Animus first. Or at least, in time to be the one to take him down.
