Their ways would separate soon enough, yes, but only temporarily. He felt as much, since the bond they shared was stronger than anything else. Whether their next meeting would be in person or through their connection with the Force they'd always be on touch. The crystal glowed on his chest after she carefully placed it on him, the glint of the sun reflecting against his half mask.

His eyes followed her, trying to find words to their enjoyable silence. It was funny to see her having to stand on her tippy-toes to reach over and put the necklace on him. Ar'ekk's heart raced at this and his palms started getting sweaty by the minute as he stood motionless.

"This is amazing. Thanks."

Quickly realizing it was time to go, he couldn't help but give her a warm smile to ease up her feelings as the half masked Jedi felt such sensations through the Force.

"So uhh... What are you going to do now?"

Letting out a quiet exhale the Senator shrugged, fidgeting with her fingers in a very clearly nervous-habit manner as her gaze dropped low and away from his face, "Probably return to the trade talks. Can't be a representative if I'm not actively representing," Then, a little softly, she added on, "Though I think this was all worth it now."

More silence. Finally, brushing a few strands of brown hair out of her eyes Nilia glanced back up to Ar'ekk briefly. With a softened and almost emotional gaze she smiled and nodded, eyes falling to the crystal then to his face again, "Well, I guess I'll... Be seeing you, right?" There was a confusing ripple of energy between them in the Force, as if Nilia was wholly uncertain she'd ever see him again. But, reassuringly, their bond felt as strong as ever.

Perhaps, even after today, it'd be stronger.

Parting ways wasn't a choice they really had to pick, as this bond that tied them together would last for who knew how long. It grew stronger as the minutes progressed and this unexpected meeting was only a small demonstration of how strong the nexus gained strength.

Without the need of looking for anything else, Ar'ekk's business in Manaan had come to a sudden conclusion. Their encounter was a nice ending to the day, gifts exchanged and the alike. His face told a thousand stories, clearly happy about what had transpired.

"You don't want to keep them waiting."

He felt a ripple through the Force as her eyes glistened with the sun, returning the same gesture yet without the same tonality since his mask got in the way. With the robotic breathing being the only thing hearable during their silence, the young Jedi broke silence after his heavy pondering.

"Maybe."

Mysteries, Ar'ekk liked to play those. Described as "cryptic" by his apprentices, the man learned that a connection like this could never really fade away. Yet... his hopes had to remain within reality despite his unwillingness to believe in such thing.

"Plans are fragile things and life often dashes expectations to the ground."

But this couldn't be the case.

He knew it.

She knew it.
