The Following document is an overview, compiled from various ORDIS Documents regarding the Imperialization of Subject #2891902, given name Amaranth. Since said case involves a Force Sensitive, Inquisitorial Agents and members of the Sith Order were also present during all evaluations.

General Information
  • Name: Amaranth [Surname Unknown]
  • Species: Functionally Human - traces of various near-human species in genetic code.
  • Planet of Origin: None - subject claims to have been born aboard an unmarked heavy freighter operating out of Republic Space.
  • Height: 177.8cm
  • Weight: 66.68kg
  • Age: Twenty-One Galactic Standard Years
  • Skin: Pale
  • Hair: Brown
  • Eyes: Hazel (Prone to changing when tapping into the Force)
  • Force Sensitive: Confirmed

Mental and Physical Evaluation
  • Emotionally, the subject is as sound as any Initiate, and does not appear particularly prone to fits of rage, bouts of unwarranted paranoia, or hallucinations. Subject is polite and cooperative with Directorate staff and Inquisitorial agents, even when subjected to circumstances intentionally designed to provoke negative emotional reactions. Telepathic readings indicate that the subject does suffer from moderate social maladjustment, in the form of a starkly negative internal reaction to authority figures, but has #2891902's case supervisor has concluded that a potential initiate without significant disdain for authority would be more unusual than one with.
  • Subject appears to be fully numerate and literate in Galactic Basic and Huttese, and cognitive testing reveals nothing below acceptable Imperial minimums. Subject's Sith-Imperial History does, however, leave something to be desired.
  • Physical testing reveals no significant shortcomings. Physical Strength and Stamina are as expected for a physically active human of the subject's age and physiology, and both reaction time and hand-eye coordination are slightly above Imperial Human Standards.

Conclusion

Subject #2891902 has no known ties to enemy governments, is a confirmed Force Sensitive, is physically fit and mentally sound, and is only at mild risk for insurrectionary tendencies. It is the official stance of the Directorate of Imperialization and that said subject may safely be allowed provisional participation in Imperial life, given a probationary period (recommended minimum four Galactic Standard Months) overseen by Inquisitorial agents.

Background

Amaranth's earliest memories in life were of running up and down the corridors of a ship. Said ship was an unmarked heavy freighter, a smuggling vessel used by a chosen-family of nomads and criminals operating within Republic Space. The "family" that lived aboard the ship had no name; why would it need one? They were all siblings, in spirit or blood or both, held together by the bonds of familial love and mutual dependence. A family name only made them easier to identify to outsiders, and being easily identifiable was exactly what that family didn't want. They were, after all, smugglers, thieves, mercenaries. Assassins, too, if the pay was particularly good and the need particularly dire, but that sort of work needed to be done solo, and solo work was dangerous.
Amaranth's family was, to put it bluntly, everything to her. They taught her how to survive, how to fight, and how to escape when a fight was lost. They taught her how to tell who could be trusted, who would betray her, and who should be betrayed. When she fell ill, they cared for her. When her own body grew to cause her pain, they helped ease her suffering. Life wasn't easy, and it wasn't always particularly comfortable, but it was happy.
This lasted until fairly recently - a galactic year or two before Amaranth's arrival in Sith Space. There was a slip-up among members of the crew. Or perhaps they ran into the only competent Republic law enforcement in the galaxy. Maybe they'd stayed on one planet for too long. Whatever the reason, the planetary government sniffed out her family. Traced a number of burglaries, heists, and hospitalizations back to her people. Few, thankfully, were killed. Most were arrested. Those who escaped, Amaranth among them, panicked and split apart. Regrouped later, but out of a community of over one hundred, those who escaped numbered in the single digits. You couldn't assault a prison with those numbers, and the crimes their family had committed likely meant decades behind bars. So instead, the escapees split again. They kept in contact, this time, but the whole affair had scared them out of traveling in groups.
For some time, Amaranth drifted from Planet to Planet, taking all manner of odd jobs to keep herself going. Needed to smuggle yourself off a planet? She could help. Someone not paying their debts on time? She could pay a visit. Remind them that they had obligations to fulfill. At some point - Amaranth couldn't tell you when - during this aimless wandering, something clicked in her. She became aware. Aware of the fact that, if she sat down and focused, she could feel the Galaxy around her. The pull of gravity. The agonizing, nearly indiscernible rotation of planets beneath her feet. The movement of living, thinking beings around her. Amaranth didn't know much of the Force - but she knew that was what this was. And she knew it was power. It was power, at least, to a certain empire of genocidal tyrants hell-bent on galactic domination.
Suddenly, given a few years, assaulting a prison planet didn't seem like such a mad idea.

Traits
  • Go For The Eyes: Amaranth may not be particularly strong, or even much better than average, but she makes up for it with sheer ferocity. While she doesn't go looking for violence, she has suppressed the natural human aversion to gore, and treats every fight like it's a fight to the death. Eye gouging, biting, groin shots? They're weapons in an arsenal, nothing more.
  • Vengeful Beyond Reason: Amaranth is, for lack of a better term, a petty schutta. She feels the need to exact vengeance for every slight against her, real or imagined, grave or petty. The exact method doesn't matter, particularly, but the punishment must fit the crime, so to speak - a grave insult cannot be repaid with, for example, mere cattiness. This urge is not insurmountable, but it will frequently gnaw at her mind until the one who insulted her pays the price or offers up an apology.
  • Without Principle: Amaranth's capacity for loyalty and trust is limited strictly to the interpersonal, and is completely unaffected by notions of hierarchy, shared ideals, duty, or honor. The bonds forged by fondness, fear, and dependency are the only bonds she respects or acknowledges.
  • New Blood: Amaranth is not an experienced Sith. Hell, she's barely Sith at all. This isn't about skill in the Force or the Dark Side, but more the mindset; it's one thing to fight for survival, or just because someone karked you off. But to commit violence on the order of some far-away commander, in the name of some even-further-away ponce in a crown, or in the name of ideology or faith, is utterly alien to her.
  • Apparently Orthodox: Amaranth is not particularly well versed in the nuances of the Sith-Imperial Rule of Order, and she is not particularly interested in following its tenets. She learned enough to avoid being detained or "educated" during her probationary period, but frankly, she finds her more thoroughly dedicated peers - mostly Imperial natives - to be unsettling.
