SPECIAL FEATURES
- In-Built Communications: The arm possesses a built-in HoloLinkXJ9 for battlefield communications and convenient HoloNet access. This feature is located high on the forearm. Close to the elbow.
- A Shield for a Friend: Wanting to help keep Amani safe in future encounters Aurelion designed the arm to also possess a built in Defense System that, combined with the biometric read-outs provided by the XJ9 system, is designed to activate automatically during moments of intense, extreme fear or doses of adrenaline. Such as when facing a potentially lethal attack. Though designed as a surprise defense for his friend controls for this shielding system are accessible through the XJ9 interface, though are hidden behind a password.
- A Helping Hand: Due to the highly durable and resilient properties of Songsteel the hand of the prosthetic is especially resilient to damage and, while not advisable to be used as a weapon, could prove useful.
WEAKNESSES
- We're Ion trouble now: While it possesses some basic insulation against ionic interference and can resist smaller-caliber ionic weaponry a dedicated shock to the arm's systems will cause it to short-circuit and become inoperable for a time.
After hearing about the injury suffered by his friend Amani during the battle for Yurb Aurelion dedicated the next few days aboard the Escape toward making her a replacement arm to give her. Intended to be a gift to help her adjust to her new one-armed life Aurelion set about using all the tools and tech at his disposal that the Order had access to in order to try and make Amani something unique and heartfelt. He even inscribed the arm with Mirialan symbols for 'friend' 'safety' and 'protection'. Though he never did mention to anyone about the arm's built-in defensive measures mainly due to the fact that he knew Amani would likely insist she didn't need them even while waving a now-missing arm at him. An excuse that, fortunately for her, he wasn't buying. An excuse that, unfortunately for him, he'd never get to hear as Aurelion would not be the one to give this gift to his dear friend.
