OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Firstly to establish a planet that would make a suitable governate for Malum in the current internal Sith structure allowing for player characters to be named governors of Sith worlds, secondly to have such a planet where I have full creative control which would not exist for another custom planet, thirdly to have a planet that would fit perfectly fit with my unique taste and aesthetic, which no other planet could perfectly emulate, and lastly to give a safe place and independent base of operations for the Marr Household Guard, the Marr family, and thus play around with internal self-ran political RP. The plan for the planet would be to slowly develop it in-universe to be an industrial power, and too an ideal (or at least according to Malum's ideal) place for settlers to live upon.

LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Gil Lodihr
  • Planetary Features: A series of bombed-out ruins of cities across the planet's surface, with signs of decaying nuclear radiation.
  • Major Locations: The planet was split among six nations all sharing names with their capital city, before a nuclear war wiped them all out, each nation held various cities, but seemingly though the ruins for each exist, the capitals for all of the nations are the most well preserved.
    • Gil Lodihr - The central capital region of the former Holy Alvarian Empire and former Kingdom of Gil Lodihr, with the numerous rivers running through the former kingdom from the coast, it is a fertile land and served as a breadbasket to the other kingdoms, and with its prime central location it allows for rapid deployment and communication to the other kingdoms, however, such a position also made it the central target for the other kingdoms to take hostile action against, however it remained an ally to the Kingdom of Stella Cadera, both claiming themselves as joint heirs to the Holy Alvarian Empire in opposition to Altum Hortus. The ruins of the city itself are populated sparsely, with most of the surviving population living in the countryside, moreover, the city even ruined is the hallmark of a post-industrial city, yet with that industry going without use, rusting, and wearing away.
    • Averdon - Serving as the main financial centre of the former Holy Alvarian Empire, it would go on to become the richest city and thus make the former United Provinces of Averdon the richest nation on the planet. The city of Averdon was in the past filled to the brim with merchants and tradespeople. Its mountainous terrain down the centre also is filled with ample and rich mining sites, being the mining heartland of the former Empire, and being a key resource in the United Province's own industrialisation and trading relationships. The city furthermore held great shipyards and docks, being a great naval power, and the home of the Imperial fleet. Now, the ruins of the city are perhaps the most populated settlement on the planet, where a proto-capitalism takes place as the denizens spend their time either on the waters or in the mines while living in the ruins of a post-industrialised city that they do not understand.
    • Rex Portum - Serving as the main rival of Averdon, the Realm of Rex Portum was a nation primarily inhabited by an Elvish species, arriving at a similar time to the Sephi at Stella Cadera and the Ugnaught at Hal Darom, the acceptance of the Elvish by the Emperors of Alvaria was a key factor in the Empire's collapse. The Realm of Rex Portum though less financially powerful due to the lack of a domestic mining industry, and less navally powerful than the United Provinces, held a distinct advantage in the use of sorceries and magic, these arts were very similar to those used by the Sith, and likely aided in the creation and darkening of the Force Nexus on the planet. Now, Rex Portum exists abandoned, with its only denizens being treasure hunters searching for more knowledge on these arts, as the land of the former nation is the most unnatural, featuring regions of artic and desert, from the heavy use of magic.
    • Altum Hortus - A city and kingdom of martial inclination, from antiquity to modern times, the Principality of Altum Hortus would provide the greatest warriors of the planet. A self-sufficient land, having within its borders the population and farmland to maintain its own population, and the raw mining resources to allow for the equipping of its armies, all in all allowing a level of self-sufficiency, until a natural peak forcing expansion and raiding onto the neighbouring kingdoms, viewing themselves as heirs to the Holy Alvarian Empire. Thus it was as the most hated of the kingdoms, that the city of Altum Hortus had been almost entirely annihilated, relative to a planet of ruins, still, the people of the region retain their militaristic and warrior sensibilities.
    • Hal Darom - A mountainous and subterranean city and region, settled by the Ugnaught, and unlike the Elvish, were militarily and cruelly subdued by the Holy Alvarian Empire. This conquest and occupation was a key factor in the Empire's collapse. The greatest source of minerals and mining industry on the planet, due in part to the industrious nature of the Ugnaughts, the Duchy of Hal Darom became one of the most technologically and industrially advanced nations on the planet, though limited highly by their subterranean existence, and limited population, leading them to be the weakest of all nations. Ironically they were spared most of the nuclear fallout, and the Duchy continues to function as a nation, isolated from the rest of the planet due to cutting themselves off when the nuclear weapons fell.
    • Solis Hastam - A flat and grassy land, the March of Solis Hastam used to be the frontier of the Holy Alvarian Empire, inhabited by a hardy and independent people as a result. Serving as a secondary breadbasket for the Empire, it is too where ambitious governors would strike out to expand the frontier, growing exceedingly rich as a result. One such campaign, led by the last Emperor with one such governor as the lieutenant, would lead to the direct cause of the end of the Empire, the loss of the royal army to an enemy ambush, and the rumoured assassination of the Emperor by said governor. Solis Hastam thus became the first of the Empire to secede, that governor going on to expand Solis Hastam into barbarian lands. Thus Solis Hastam would become one of the strongest of the independent kingdoms, using its pure size to be lush in population and resources. The city of Solis Hastam itself was unironically rather undeveloped, with resources being expended across its territory, and exists as a ruin like any other in the March, with its only distinction being that it was a capital.
    • Stella Cadera - A land of trees, forest, jungle, and swamp alike, settled by the Sephi, it was not only their acceptance by the Emperors of Alvaria, but too their interbreeding with them, and elevation of the Kingdom of Stella Cadera as equal and the city of Stella Cadera as secondary capital to the Holy Alvarian Empire that was a leading long term cause for the collapse of the Empire. The foremost lumber producer of the planet and the former Holy Alvarian Empire, they remained a key ally to the Kingdom of Gil Lodihr when the Empire collapsed, both seeing themselves as the joint heirs of the Empire against Altum Hortus. With the land having mostly lumber and not much else, their industrialisation was slower than the rest of the planet, but their position was so defensively feasible that no invasion ever penetrated far into their kingdom, such as it was that this impenetrable defense forced the ultimate weapon to be used against them for even a chance of victory. Thus when the nuclear armaments fell upon them, the woods worked against them, and they were annihilated, the lands were burned, and areas were removed entirely of wildlife and flora, in the modern day some of those areas are regrowing, with their cities being reclaimed by nature. The remaining Sephi has adapted well, being one of the few to continue living in their cities, even if they are far bigger than their population is, living accommodatingly with nature as they always have.
  • Force Nexus (Optional): Yes
Intent: To provide a magical long-term consequence to the nuclear genocide of millennia ago, with so many billions of people killed violently in an instant leading to the extremely strong presence of the dark side on the planet that was never able to wither away, considering the continual deaths and technological backwardness established by the nuclear weapons.
    Nexus Name: Darkness Entombed
  • Nexus Alignment: Dark
  • Size: Planetary
  • Strength: Strong
  • Accessibility: N/A
  • Effects: The Nexus has three primary effects, the first being that it confers randomly to those living on the planet visions of those who lived in the past, and thus those that died. The second is that dark side users of the planet are strengthened heavily by the Nexus, being able to partake in its power, while light side users will see themselves become drowsy and weakening as the Nexus seeps the Force out of them until they are off-world. The final effect is a Faustian bargain that the Nexus can strike with the inhabitants, allowing for an extension of their life in exchange for mental decline or the inverse, mental fortitude in exchange for a decrease in their lifespan.

POPULATION
  • Native Species: Human.
  • Immigrated Species: Elfish, Sephi, Ugnaught.
  • Population: Sparse
  • Demographics: Primarily inhabited by humans due to their original ownership of the land and general fecundity, this is proven with 4/7 of the former Kingdoms having been inhabited mostly by humans, thus humans makeup 75% of the population, but concentrated almost exclusively in Gil Lodihr, Averdon, Altum Hortus and Solis Hastam, if the bombs had not dropped it is likely that overpopulation would have eventually resulted in human populations arriving in the other three kingdoms, desired or not. However a large human population exists in Rex Portum, the descendants of force sensitives or those recently kidnapped for being force sensitive. The Sephi primarily live in Stella Cadera with their long lives leading to lower fertility, some large Sephi communities exist in Gil Lodihr and Rex Portum, making up a total population of 10%. The Elfish are in a similar position but in Rex Portum, with a large community in Stella Cadera, making up a total population of 10%. Finally, the Ugnaught live almost exclusively in the mountains of Hal Darom, the more adventurous and weirder setting up their homes above ground, while the even stranger live within human communities, their total population is at 5%.
  • Primary Languages: Galactic Basic, Ugnaught.
  • Culture: Each former Kingdom has its own varying cultures, and those continue to pervade on, long after the kingdoms fell.
    • Gil Lodihr's remaining population considers itself as some sort of petty nobility, banding together in a confederation to protect themselves, but too decrepit to be in place to elect a singular leader to truly resurrect the Kingdom of Gil Lodihr, feudalism is in place to work the fertile fields, but with a lack of a great lower class, and many of that lower class considering themselves to be nobles themselves, it leads to great social tension throughout the remains of the kingdom.
    • Averdon is controlled by money, with those on top living in the ruins of the great city, while those on the bottom rungs live out in the former heartland of the former nation, working an impossible dream to make the funds necessary through farming or mining to one day make their way to the ruins of the great city and be on top of the world. The continued conflict between the rich and the poor has too been its own social conflict.
    • Rex Portum is controlled by force sensitivity, or as they see it, the ability to use magic and sorcery. Those with the ability to use the Force are housed in Rex Portum proper, educating themselves, practicing their powers, and researching the lost arts. They are essentially worshipped by those that are not force sensitive, considered their great pride and source of protection. Thus the non-force sensitives are content to put themselves in their servitude, toiling away to harvest and refine any and all resources their superior force-sensitive masters may need. It has reached such a point that force sensitives from all over the planet are eager to flood into Rex Portum to take advantage of this treatment, and Rex Portum itself has methods, often violent, to bring unwilling force sensitives to the fold. It is not however perfect for the force sensitives, worshipped as they are, any natural disaster or sentient disaster is easily blamed upon them, and thus there is a strong tradition of ritual sacrifice until fortunes return.
    • Altum Hortus maintains its warrior creed, focusing on the creation of the perfect warrior, the various organised tribes of the former kingdom are quick and eager to battle each other for glory and honour, and just as easily willing to raid into neighbouring lands for wealth, slaves and other resources. Battles are bloody no matter what, with tribes expanding in numbers through whatever means are necessary, immoral or not. Children if they were deemed incapable are killed or abandoned, with those deemed able are trained till adulthood on how to fight and kill. All neighbouring regions fear a day that the Altum Hortusites will be united again under a single warlord, but for now, they are mostly content to fight among themselves, sieges on the ruins of cities are common, while control of Altum Hortus itself is a white elephant, a symbol of power, but extremely hard to defend considering its annihilation in the nuclear onsault.
    • Hal Darom is one of the last places on the planet where the pre-apocalyptic nation still stands, ruled by a Duke, the Ugnaught have only recently opened their borders to the outside world, after surviving the nuclear strikes. A council of Ugnaught nobles advises the Duke, while the Ugnaught themselves are content to continue mining and tinkering with technology, having other needed resources such as food, and lumber imported from elsewhere. Still, with the Ugnaught population aging more and more and population growth becoming negative, there is a real chance for demographic collapse as Ugnaught politics becomes increasingly deadlocked, surrounding questions of succession and how it should operate in consideration to the rest of Alvaria.
    • Solis Hastam is one of the quiet places in Alvaria, even boring in a sense, the most organised structures are city-states, burgeoning out of the ruins of the various cities across the region, with the city of Solis Hastam being considered the leader of the city-states, though, in reality, none apart from those nearby truly respect its authority. The connections to each city are dangerously filled with bandits who prey on the merchants and travelers that go to each city, thus the city-states rely primarily on buying up mercenaries augmented by citizen soldiers to defend themselves, and rarely, attack each other, primarily for borderlands, rarely to take cities wholesale. The descendants of the barbarians conquered years ago, are too a problem, raiding at the periphery just as in the olden days.
    • Stella Cadera exists divided yet connected, the Kingdom of Stella Cadera fell long ago, thus no one singular organised authority exists within the region, however, the Sephi knowing they are still foreigners to this land and planet have maintained peace among themselves, always vigilant of their woodland borders in case once again a human incursion is made upon it, never underestimating them after the nuclear attack. The Sephi live rather individually by themselves or in kin groups, rallying together to the cities if they ever need aid or need to sell or buy supplies, with any traders from Gil Lodihr looked upon with great interest, if hidden distrust.
  • The Antonist Pantheon is perhaps the most visible continued existence of the Holy Alvarian Empire, a cult of personality centred on the ancient Pheonix King, it would go on to encompass every Emperor of Alvaria. The faith has shrines and temples in each former kingdom, though it is far from the united church that it was in the olden days past. Instead, each former kingdom had its own church, with considerable overlap, the only difference being the veneration of their rulers as they did to the Alvarian Emperors. This is rather controversial, Solis Hastam, for example, venerates the Governor who was rumoured to have slain the last Emperor, and many a religious war has been declared by the other kingdoms for such sacrilege. Still, the entire planet is at least united in its practice of the faith, apart from Hal Darom, who never fully adopted the religion considering the circumstances of their occupation. Lastly, the Pantheon has a prophecy that many ardent followers still look for, that a man of red eyes and blacken hair, of the line of the Holy Alvarian Emperors, shall once again walk on Alvaria, restoring the Holy Alvarian Empire, and the planet back to its rightful place.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Various
  • Affiliation: Ruled by various independent groups, the planet is within Sith Space and soon to be ruled by Malum, of House Marr.
  • Wealth: Medium, though most of the planet's industry has been entirely destroyed by the nuclear strikes, and the capability to rebuild it has been lost, the planet is still rich in resources to be exploited, and furthermore with the cities even if ruins, still standing, a higher standard of living has been established than otherwise expected, especially as radiation has decayed away to liveable levels.
  • Stability: Low, as it stands there is no central authority on the planet, even less a central authority in most of the former kingdoms, many formerly populated lands have been lost to the wilderness, and law and order outside the ruins of the cities are hard to find.
  • Freedom & Oppression: People generally have as much freedom or constraints as they are willing to abide by. Within the cities, everything is strictly controlled by the powers that be, while outside of the cities, where there are no law enforcement, it is survival of the fittest and hope for survival of the social contract.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: There is no unified planetary military, only various organisations doing what little they can with limited manpower, weaponry, and supplies. Most combatants are forced to use melee weapons made out of cheap material, while the ability to create and find functioning weaponry from the pre-apocalypse days is worth its weight in gold.
  • Technology: Post-Apocalyptic
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Discovered by humanity some millennia ago, Alvaria proved to be the perfect planet to be a colony, who these original humans were, or where they were from is unknown, but what is theorised is that once landing they were unable to leave the planet, theories ranged that they may have crash landed here, or were exiled, fleeing from something or someone.

But regardless, as time moved on, so did their memories of their landing, their ship was either destroyed by the landing or cannibalised for parts, the humans went out and did what they did, became fruitful and multiplied, spreading across the entire planet and settling it with human settlements. However so much like humans, as they spread about, moving far from one other, they forgot they were once one people. Then as technology degraded, their memories of what came before faded, tribalism took hold, and petty kingdoms rose and fell.

Until they formalised themselves to a degree, seven kingdoms, Gil Lodihr, Averdon, Rex Portum, Altum Hortus, Hal Darom, Solis Hastam and Stella Cadera, kingdoms whom all viewed each other as the enemy, viewed each other as the other, the foe to be annihilated, so they could greedily claim the world for themselves, centuries of battle followed, border territories changing hands as blood seeped through the soil. Humanity would not annihilate each other yet, but they did bleed.

However there were legends too, that humanity was not only fighting themselves, that indeed this Alvaria that they had landed upon was not completely barren of human life. Artifacts, paintings, and relics, feature imagery of black demons and white angels, fighting across the skies, with a solemn man looking disappointingly at them, and humanity down below, looking up at the sky with fear. No evidence of this battle across the sky has ever truly been discovered, but it is taught commonly enough among the Antonist Pantheon to be considered true.

Such as it was, humanity either would battle itself, or be caught in the middle of a battle larger than itself.

That was until the holiest day.

All history starts from nothing, all stories start with something great. The birth of Ragathor I, Phoenix King of Gil Lodihr, son of the glorious and great, 'First One'. A true divine king, his birth heralded a great golden age for the world, as a comet flew above his cot, the lords, ladies, peasants, merchants, warriors, knights, and kings came to his side, pledging their fealty to the truly divine prince. His childhood was one misted in legend, stories of him killing a snake with his bare hands as a baby, of being struck by lightning, but all that proof of it being a crown-shaped scar on his head. No man, woman, or beast could deny his right to rule, as not only was his birth heralded with superstition, his constitution and power were felt throughout the world. He was the Champion of the Angels, Champion of his Father, as he took his stand and conquered. He was both loved and feared.

His court at Gil Lodihr was one of legends and splendour, of pageantry and jousts, of knights of great chivalry and burnished armour, of colour, music, tournaments, and poetry, Ragathor surrounded himself with great advisors, of the enormously wealthy nobility to mud soaking peasants. Celebrating the great cult of chivalry, Ragathor was not the only one who played with such ideas, he embodied them. Leading his nobles to war, wealth, and glory, his natural allies as they held his lands, worked with him to govern and protect it and its people. With them at his side, with the love of his people, he worked to spread the prosperity of his kingdom to the rest of the lands, and though he would never admit it, what he was made for, what he loved. As a self-seen messiah, he led his nobility and people to war with the Altum Hortusites, crushing them in battle, slaying the tyrannical warlord in single combat, with his great bastard sword, Red Deluge (thought by many historians now to be some sort of lightsaber), said to be made from the comet signaling his birth, blessed by the First One, bringing the Kingdom of Altum Hortus into the fold.

This pattern followed, great knightly charges, of great longbows raining death upon the King's enemies, of the great battles at Altum Hortus, Solis Hastam, Averdon, Stella Cadera, and Rex Portum and Hal Darom. For the beauty of it all, there was death, yet through it all there was their divine king, leading them towards a greater and brighter future. Yet, no Sun King's reign lasted forever, and no Kingdom was forever golden.

His father, the 'First One', a figure shrouded in mystery but of evident importance, was to leave the world, what that meant was unknown, yet it is known that it left Ragathor in a solemn state yet he continued his work. Working with the Angels in fulfilling their duties, he continued the expansion of the Kingdom of Gil Lodihr, absorbing the Kingdoms around him through both peaceful and military means. Yet he was one of the few that could see what was coming, the rage and internal battles within the Angels, those that would follow the First One's will, and those that wished to fill the vacuum the 'First One' would leave. He broke away from Angelic affairs, the one unifying force between the rival factions disappearing back to the capital. He prepared for what would come, building the greatest army in Alvaria, and when the war came, he was ready, plunging Red Deluge into the hearts of the rebellious angels, the Demons.

Generations of war, thousands of years of blood, defeat and victory, defeat and victory. There seemed to be no hope, as droves and droves of Gil Lodihrians died at the frontline, their only hope was their King, Ragathor never hid from battle, the first to charge and last to retreat, as he rode to war, his army, his people, and even the Angels followed.

It was then, that the final battle came, at a site long forgotten, the humans of Alvaria with the Angels fought with the Demon Lords and their creatures of darkness, and a great battle ensued, the men of Gil Lodihr standing firm charge after charge, their bows splintering in the wind with every volley, and finally the great knights of Gil Lodihr, led by the Divine King, charging and barrelling through the creatures and taking many an ill-begotten soul. There are only whispers of what truly occurred, but a victory if it could be called such was made on these fields, yet it could never be called a true victory. The Demons were banished from Alvaria, while the Angels exiled themselves to wherever the 'First One' had gone, the people of Alvaria looked to their king for leadership, as many men, women, and children were now dead across the world, with horrible casualties at the final battle. Yet all that was left of their divine king was the great Red Deluge, and a newborn heir. Many wonder what happened to their king, as the peoples of Alvaria dispersed and the depleted Gil Lodihrian army marched back to their homeland, many claimed he slew the Demon King that had caused the Demon rout, yet taking a fatal wound himself, falling onto the field of battle, returning to his father. Yet no one knows for sure, as the weeping army reached the capital and crowned this newborn as their king. Continuing the divine bloodline of not just the First One, but also the Filius Dei, the Son of God, Ragathor I.

When Sun King Xadrius I, a descendant of both Ragathor I, and the 'First One', took the throne, he inherited a kingdom that was beset on all sides. For from the unified realms of the free that once fought off the Demon hordes, this was a kingdom paralaysed by weakness and fear. The ascension of a new King promised relief from all of this, and indeed there were great troubles on the horizon, the Sephi had arrived to Alvaria, bonified aliens, creatures from the sky, was it the return of the Angels and Demons? No one knew, all they knew was that Stella Cadera had very quickly been occupied, and the Sephi were very quickly marching towards Gil Lodihr, noble lords circled the young king, waiting for any mistake to pounce, to overthrow… or control him.

Raising from what meagre holdings he had, enough for an army that could only be called a paltry of the old greatness of Gil Lodihr, he marched north, preparing for a confrontation with these aliens, the Sephie that many believed would be the downfall of the Kingdom, yet a victory he needed to secure his kingdom. As he trailed the coastline northwards, he was met with the Sephi army, an army of large size, and more importantly, technologically far superior to the Gil Lodihrian forces. It would be a bloody day and a day that promised to be a Gil Lodihrian defeat. Yet it was not within Xadrius to accept such a promise, as legends say, he left his camp for the Elven one, unescorted and unseen, he made it to the Sephi camp, wherein he met the Sephi leader, a Sephi queen. The most beautiful woman in the land, considering she had just landed on it, yet also a warrior queen, a hater of war, yet resigned to the inevitability of it. No one knows what they spoke of, but as dusk became dawn, they stayed together secluded in that tent, and when they both emerged, they announced what shocked both armies and peoples, a Sephi-Human marriage, between two different species, but at the look of each other, they were absolutely smitten with one another. It was with this marriage, and the union between the two cultures, that signaled the golden age in Gil Lodihr, yet not only that, the greatest contribution that Xadrius had brought, was one that not even the First One or Markus had achieved, it was the unification of the various kingdoms and various peoples, no longer were they Gil Lodihrian, Altum Hortusite, Averdonian, Rex Portumian, Solis Hastamian, and Stella Caderan, but now they were all Alvarian, declaring the Holy Alvarian Empire, becoming the Emperor, but declaring himself only the 25th, starting the Empire's reign at Ragathor. The marriage and union of humanity and Sephi too brought with its technological advances, humanity long since having forgotten their star borne roots had by this only transitioned out of the medieval age into gunpower, with Sephi technology, the speed of technological advancement grew massively, the beginnings of industrialiation taking root by the time that the Sephi technology had been cannibalised.

Yet this in many regards was also the beginning of the end of the Holy Alvarian Empire that had just been formed. Many humans across the Empire would never accept the ceding of Stella Cadera to the Sephi, most especially not those that were forced to be relocated. More and more humans saw the Emperor's relations with the Sephi as a sin, a great evil, and these feelings only grew worse when successive Emperors made as humanity felt, the Sephi equal to them, even superior to them, Stella Cadera being raised as equal to Gil Lodihr, and the city of Stella Cadera made the half-year capital. The fact that successive Emperors even began seeing themselves as more Sephi than Human as more intermarriages took place, the Emperors seeing the Sephi as a loyal group to be used against the nobility brought tensions to a breaking point, but it would be the matter of Rex Portum that finally broke the camel's back.

The landing of the Elfish, kin of the Sephi to Rex Portum was the opportunity for reassurance many had desired, calls went out for the Emperor to throw them back, using the Sephi technology to do so. Those were the words of the radicals, many more rather just desired for the Elfish to settle with their kin in Stella Cadera. What was unexpected however was for the Emperor to buckle again, ceding Rex Portum to the Elfish, forcing more relocations of humans, as long as the Elfish bent the knee to him.

This was a step too far, many whispered that Xadrius was nothing more than a puppet and that the true power of the Empire was in reality his wife. This ignored the benefits the Sephi brought, further technology that would eventually bring the Holy Alvarian Empire into the modern age of technology, their magics and sorceries even more impressive, some even discussing the possibility of weapons so great that they could destroy cities.

Yet those people were considered crackpots at best.

Still, the disgruntled nobles finally had enough, and with Xadrius on his deathbed, they struck.

In a few days, revolts broke out across the various kingdoms, with Hal Darom being so successful that it would end up seceding from the Empire fully.

Xadrius if he was alive may have been able to stop it, yet his son proved an ineffectual man, even with his mother's support, thus though the revolts in all the kingdoms were engaged with an annihilated, Sephi and Elfish aid proving fundamental, the man was willing to allow Hal Darom secession to stand, refusing to campaign in the mountains for a group of people who were so opposed to his rule. Thus the Holy Alvarian Empire would go on mainly intact, but the cracks were beginning to show, Hal Darom was allowed to secede without opposition, what stopped the others?

It would be two different events that led to the return of Hal Darom to the Empire, the first would be the landing of the Ugnaught in Hal Darom, and the second would be the request of a plurality of Hal Darom nobles for the Holy Alvarian Empire to annex Hal Darom, lest the Ugnaught prove victorious. Emperor Schyzo I seeing the opportunity to write the wrong of the past proceeded to invade Hal Darom, and after decades of battle, was able to force both the remaining pro-secessionist nobles and the Ugnaught to the negotiating table. Yet the peace he made would not be a popular one, forcing once again the relocation of the humans in the region, and the surrender of it to the Ughnaught as long as they bent their knees. To the humans it made the war a worthless struggle, to have Hal Darom back was a positive, but to have it back without humans, with this new migrant species, was a betrayal while to the Ugnaught, they would never truly accept human occupation, nor care for their proclaimed loyalty to the Emperor, more funding and manpower would go to holding Hal Darom than it would ever produce, more funding and manpower would go to holding Hal Darom than taking it in the first place.

Still, one bonus had been the capture of various Ugnaught tech, which would bring Alvaria into the modern age, truly the greatest golden age the planet would ever see, with some even dreaming of the stars.

But it would not last long, the various nobles across the Empire were done, the allowance of the Sephi and Elfish had been accepted to a degree because they had been brought to the fold peacefully, but these terms, ones that gave Hal Darom to the Ugnaught even after they were defeated on the field, while Ugnaught still ripened against the peace? It was too much.

Yet no major action took place for a few more generations, allowing peace and prosperity to continue on, as faith in the Emperors wavered.

It all came to a head during the reign of Emperor Alexander, "the Last", for he was the last Emperor of the Holy Alvarian Empire. A campaign in Solis Hastam, like any other, looking to expand the territories into the last non-Alvarian lands on the planet. The Emperor, and his entire army were betrayed, as the first charge went forth, Alexander leading them from the front as his ancestor, Ragathor, they were caught in bad weather, in the woodwork and traps, the barbarians had been warned of their arrival. What would have been a set piece battle turned into an ambush.

An ambush that they may have still yet escaped from if it was not for further betrayal in their midst. The Averdonian, Solis Hastamian, and Hal Daromian forces refused to move at a critical juncture of the battle, the only forces not caught in the ambush, for that was also planned. They crashed into the rear lines of the royal army, crushing an already crushed force beyond repair.

It is said that Alexander, in attempting to rally his broken army was approached by the governor of Solis Hastam, and given a stab in the heart.

Thus the last Emperor fall, and the unbeatable Alvarian army with it.

Back in the Empire itself, chaos engulfed all the kingdoms, as the betraying armies returned from the campaign, rumours abounding about what they had done. Secession was only a formality. First went Solis Hastam, the great betraying governor naming himself Marquess, then went Hal Darom, the leading Ugnaught naming himself Duke, and then went Averdon, the richest man in the city naming himself Stadtholder. The loyalist kingdoms could do little but watch, the Empire still existed on paper, but with three out of the seven kingdoms in open revolt, and no army in the field to bring them to heel, they turned to infighting.

Altum Hortus traditionally serving as the seat of the Crown Prince grew disgusted with the inaction of the heir apparent, so much so that they eagerly accepted his brother on their throne, naming him Prince of Altum Hortus, as he proved himself to be every bit the warrior his elder brother was not. Raising an army of Altum Hortusites and beginning a war with nearby Averdon and Solis Hastam, he was close to bringing both to heel, before paranoia that his elder brother would swoop in and force him to also heel, made him end his war, formalising Altum Hortus' almost accidental secession from the Empire, said brother at the end of his life, claiming the title of Holy Alvarian Emperor, in direct opposition to his elder brother's line, but eventually, his own line would be extinguished in the chaotic civil wars in Altum Hortus' history.

Gil Lodihr, Stella Cadera, and Rex Portum would survive as one for a long period of time, still claiming to be the Holy Alvarian Empire, but in no place to retake the seceded kingdoms. Rex Portum would eventually secede when one of his lines of Alexander showed a penchant for magic, as can be now understood to be force sensitivity. Pushing for him to be crowned as King of all three kingdoms when refused as it would go against the line of succession, he was crowned in Rex Portum, seceding it from the Empire, and starting a line of mage kings that would eventually die out.

Gil Lodihr and Stella Cadera would too last a long period of time together, equal united kingdoms during the days of the Empire, with marriages taking place between both constantly. They finally decided to part ways when the balance of power made them the most threatening, this signified by the birth of twin heirs, one being crowned King of Gil Lodihr, and the other, King of Stella Cadera. The kinship allows for the maintenance of the alliance, even long after the death of both lines.

Thus the Holy Alvarian Empire was dead, even if three of the seven kingdoms still claimed to be its rightful ruler. In effect, however, Alvaria had returned to its state before the Pheonix King, seven feuding kingdoms, the sentient species on the planet thus would survive, even if they would certainly bleed.

That was until the Ugnaught made a discovery that would change everything.

They split the atom.

It was an explosion that was said everyone on the planet could feel, sense in some way. It was a weapon of such destruction that was theorised centuries ago, a weapon that could destroy cities.

So the atomic race began, and the Ugnaught held exclusive control of it for now, but it was not in the nature of the Ugnaught to attempt to impose their will on the planet with their weapon, especially as divided humanity was their greatest defense. Yet it was not in humanity's nature either to allow a foreign species to even have the potential to enact their will on them.

Thus each nation invested heavily into efforts to make their own bombs, and year by year passed, each was successful, the entire planet being able to feel the quakes of atoms splitting, each nation became nuclear capable, as arms expenditure increased, and a shadow war broke out across each nations back channels.

No one is truly sure who launched first, but the prevailing theory is that the Altum Hortusites, preparing for an attack upon Gil Lodihr and thus their ally Stella Cadera intended to finally bypass the Stella Caderan natural defenses on the border, through the use of a tactical strike. However when their mobilisation was found out, it caused the mobilisation of almost all other forces on the planet, all militaries on the highest readiness, as war seemed imminent, but a war against who was not known.

The Altum Hortusites struck, dropping their weapons on the border of Stella Cadera, having its intended reaction as their natural defenses crumbled.

Yet they did not make it far into Gil Lodihr before news arrived that the city of Altum Hortus had been annihilated.

A glove had already been off, and now the other came off.

The planet fell into nuclear war, the shortest war, billions died in seconds, and nuclear radiation plagued almost everything.

Darkness took over the world, there was no way that it would not, with such violent death, yet there are rumours that the Rex Portumians aided it along, assuming that with more magic and sorcery, that they would rule this world.

Even if it was made of ash.

Yet the bombs did not spare Rex Portum either.

Thus Alvaria fell into centuries of darkness, yet life continues to find ways to live on.

Now Alvaria, recovering from the bombs, recovering from the war, completely cut off from the rest of galactic history, now finds itself in Sith Space.

And priests chant and whisper that soon, the prophecy of the heir to the First One, to Ragathor, Xadrius, Schyzo, and Alexander, shall soon return to bring Alvaria to its greatness.
