“Altar of the Champion”

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create magical artifacts that will enhance PVE and dynamic storytelling in RP by introducing a variety of NPCs to any location where one of the artifacts is in use. These altars are meant to create unique, fun & interesting mobs that can add to the richness of conflicts or further enhance scenes by allowing writers to get creative with the kind of minions that are in the backdrop of scenes.
This is a tool, crafted in the same way a pulpit or an altar might be, to be installed into a landscape, ship, or building.
Though the presence of a nexus or other powerful source of the Force might impact its use, it is not in and of itself a source of such power. It is a tool to be used by those who can harness and wield such energies.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Spore Industries
  • Affiliation: Revna Marr Revna Marr , Darth Strosius Darth Strosius , Kasir Dorran Kasir Dorran , Darth Caedes Darth Caedes , Lysander von Ascania Lysander von Ascania and Spore Industries
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: Version 1.0
  • Modularity: Yes, this working of sorcery and alchemy can be recreated to suit the needs of the practitioner that will be using it or the environment it is installed in
  • Production: Limited
  • Material: Natural materials such as stone, wood, and bone, sorcery (transmutation & conjuration), metallic components can also be added when a device of this nature is installed on a ship
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Through the masterful use of biomancy and sorcery, this altar can raise a wide variety of bestial servants from the surrounding environment in order for them to defend the general location they were summoned. This tool is essentially the ultimate, eco-friendly mob generation technology out there and it summons Spirit Guardians.

STRENGTHS
  • For Time Immemorial — The highly stable nature of this biomechanical technology and sorcery, as well as the sturdy nature of the materials use to craft it, is such that these altars will remain intact and functional provided that their environment or the place they are installed in remains in good condition
  • Fell Enchantments — These altars are difficult to destroy given that they are constructed with very sturdy natural materials and further strengthened by sorcery
  • A Dark Calculous — Use of these artifacts is richly rewarding, provided one has the resources to pay with. Vast quantities of Spirit Guardians can be summoned so long as the input of energy is also grand. For those with few moral scruples, it is a tempting and powerful tool
WEAKNESSES
  • Power Requires Sacrifice — The boons granted by this altar do not come freely. Sacrifice of some kind is required to activate the device and achieve results. The greater or more substantial the sacrifice, the more grand the results tend to be. One must be willing to give vast quantities of something such as blood, biomass, anima, or other such power generating substance in order for the sorcery to activate. Output by this altar is dictated by input in a roughly 1:1 ratio
  • Stationary — Once installed, these altars cannot easily be moved elsewhere. Wherever they are built, there they generally must stay unless a skilled sorcerer takes an immense amount of time and energy to deconstruct it and rebuild it elsewhere
  • Force Nullification — This object cannot be used and will remain energetically inert in the presence of powerful force nullification

DESCRIPTION
After the events and subsequent discoveries made by A’Mia and Alisteri during the Great Hunt, the neti made it her mission to recreate and perfect an ancient magic they’d found buried deep in the woods. After a manic burst of inspiration and countless hours reverse engineering the original shrine, A’Mia summoned her trusted friends Revna and Darth Strosius to participate in the final test of the invention. The first half dozen or so were built on Brosi to work in harmony with the ecosystem there.

Yes, thank you. But I still feel, this is more fits to the Codex as a location maybe as a Nexus, and Nexuses cannot be put on ships. Please add the Force nullification/suppression to the weaknesses. And please link these characters to the template:

Thank you for walking me through this, and for your patience as I work on getting this right. I’ve made the changes you mentioned and I also added a few lines to hopefully clear up what exactly I am submitting to factory so that it feels more fitting.

I didn’t include it into the body of this submission, but further clarification would be: if I were to try to create a Butcher’s Block, it would be considered an item not a location. In much the same way, I am attempting to create a limited run, albeit large, item that can be installed into places where it will be used by dark practitioners.

Thank you!
