Orphen in meeting his new companion, after a long talk came to the conclusion that the smaller races had very little dedicated to them as a means of defense or offence. Inspired by the plight of the Kushiban he endeavored to help as best he could, making a manual model for his friend Korros with the broad ability for the Erebus to be a weapon in of itself. The idea behind the weapon being that smaller races were too small to cater meaningful weapons to, so, a platform like the Erebus is able to contain the ammo and power-cells which would take up most of the room of a basic fire-arm, allowing them to attach a heavy weapon to the Erebus' docking station and open fire with the expanded reserves which were on board the drone. The drone also proves to be useful as a command station to other drones due to its in-built DCD.
Orphen, having built the smaller pyraemon drones, fount up-scaling the technology into the larger drone far easier, rather than simply giving them the ranged receiver and transmitter, installing their own DCD was relatively simple, and accomplished both goals, as well as giving the drone a rather sophisticated AI based on the R-7 astromech droid which had been re-coded into a combat AI. The overall body and chassis as well as the power the Droid needed was not only filled, but expanded, so that the droid could be used to re-fill at the very least charrik ammunition cells on the battlefield as well as equip a top mounted heavy weapon, be it a sniper rifle or a rapid fire heavy maser.
The Drone itself is 1.4 meters wide and 0.8 meters long, the Alusteel/ Titanium armour on the droid ensures its protection from all pistol-class fire and glancing blows from rifle class fire. Though repeated direct blows from rifle class fire-arms will often make short work of the drone. Luckily however, the light weight of the metals makes the droid deceptively quick and able to hover up to 15m off the ground. Banking in order to advance, strafe and move the AI of this specific model is modified slightly to be able to better keep itself level by regulating what repulsor panels it powers at any one time. Though, by using the rear-mounted boosters, the Erebus is able to move deceptively quickly, though by and large in a forward motion, though it has the ability to bank and turn over wide and graceful arks. For this reason, it is recommended passengers wear a pilots helmet while flying the Erebus, and hold onto the handles of the Droid and strap into the foot-holds during this motion.
All in all the Erebus is a versatile droid which is more employed for modularity in a fight as opposed to raw, destructive power.
