TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Classification: Multipurpose

  • Weight: Light

  • Resistances
- Blasters (And other plasma type weapons): Extreme
- Kinetic: Extreme
- Lightsabers: Very Low

  • Sonic: High

  • EMP/ION: Average

  • Elemental: High

  • Acid: Very Low

  • Radiation: High

  • Slow Moving Objects: Very Low (Think Droideka)

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Full Deflector Shields (Ray and Particle shielding)

  • Very Low Radiation production

  • Small Size for personal shield use

Strengths:

  • Extremely protective against Blasters/Plasma damage and kinetic damage.

  • Protects against a wide range of attacks (Elemental, Sonic, and Radiation, and some EMP)

  • Little to no radiation: It's unique configuration protects the user from the normal radiation that deflector shields create.

Weaknesses:

  • Lightsabers: The shield's unique configuration offers little protection against lightsabers in exchange for its low radiation emissions.

  • Acid: Most forms of acid are not even blocked by the shields at all. Only a small handful would actively be blocked.

  • Slow moving objects: Like the shields they were modeled on, they are not designed to stop all objects from getting through, to allow the movement of the user. As such, slow moving objects, like slowly rolling grenades and the like, can simply move into the shield.

  • Requires connection to a generator/reactor

DESCRIPTION

The shield was designed from its onset to protect a small space, in close proximity to a living being. While the radiation that a standard deflector shield produces is a hindrance to any strong shield being used, by using radiation sinks, layers of lead, and changing the frequency the shield deploys at, it reduces the active radiation by over 90%, more than enough for a standard flight suit to defend against. However, this came at a cost. The shield can do nothing more than slow a lightsaber down. It will not actually stop it from entering the shield. It is much the same with most forms of acid. It can slow the acid down when it hits the shield, but it will drip through. However, the benefits of being able to have a full set of deflector shields at close proximity more than makes up for these weaknesses. Of course, it also had the standard problem of slow moving objects being able to enter the shield. This gives the user the ability to move around, however, adds another failure point to it.

It protects its user from an extreme amount of damage that comes from blasters and plasma based weapons, as well as from kinetic attacks, such as slug throwers, vibro-blades, shrapnel and so much more. However, the shield costs a lot of energy. Power cells simply cannot keep up with its demand for energy. It must be connected to a generator, or reactor of some kind to operate efficiently. Luckily, it was designed from the get go with this in mind.
