Burgers, fries, and shakes, the ultimate meal for a... Romantic date? Sure- Why not. As the triple beef layered burger was being consumed by the young Mandalorian, he could not help but wonder why in the world his loving partner wanted to eat at a diner, and of all places, considering just moments prior Raiz had offered to take the beautiful Cassiopeia absolutely anywhere that she wanted to, as the day was going to be a day to remember, but he could not complain, stuck up restaurants have always caused him to feel like the odd one out, even when dressed up handsomely in the suits his partner picked out for him. The Mandalorian continously shifted in his armour, causing the helmet upon his waist strap to bob back and forth, it clearly kept irritating his companion everytime it would bump into her, and thus he constantly stopped before continuing once more, the lady going to speak with him but stopping as it was clear he was deep in thought and breaking such concentration was not something she intended to do. So the pair sat in silence, eating, before the man finished his burger and stood up to face the woman.

"Look- I don't know why we came to this diner when we could of went to any of those fancy- Couple type restaurants."

"I don't even know why you want to go to one of those fancy places, babe, it's not like we fit in well there. Plus, I really want a burger. Like... Really badly."

"Not exactly romantic like the book said- Anyway, I made you something simply, but important."

"This is a cute place, though! Look at all the dots and everything. I don't think we'd find a lot of these kinda places, at least not around our neck of the galaxy. You made me something?"

At this, Raiz fished into his armour and after a moment, pulled out a small reflective metal box and looked towards Cassiopeia, before clearing his throat and very awkwardly lowering himself onto one knee. It took the woman a couple moments to realize what was going on before she let out a soft gasp, covering her mouth and eyes seeming to water up ever so gently.

"Cassiopeia Caranthyr be ha'yr Australis. Malyasa'yr gar cuyir ner riduur? Will you be my wife?"

However before an answer could be given, the invasion began upon the place, and without a moments notice the young Mandalorian answered the distress call blaring on his wrist-communication device by kissing the woman's cheek, handing her the box and placing his helmet upon his head, readying himself and immediately sending off messages to the localized Assault Division I.

Time had slowed down for the mandalorian, sniper fire from his troops had continuously fired at Bandor's forces, along with the vod that were Skosk. The skies had become lit up with the space battle above, everywhere was chaos, mandalorians were now starting to drop as well in the battle. Their bodies falling violently from enemy sniper fire in the forest, gruesome, bloody, and mother karking loud. More Galactic troopers had poured into the kill zone that was created, and despite having sniper support teams, and a good choke point to hold this regiment. Their numbers seemed endless, it was just a meat grinder to this force. The massive hunter looked through his T-visor at the portable shield that had popped up , "KArk! We dont got anything to blow that to pieces. Vod get on your communicator and call a strike on that shield!" .

The massive red tank of a being spoke with quickness, if those men inside the shield could not be killed, defeat would be the outcome. The GA regiment could use that shield figuratively as beach head, things got worse "Sir! Our channel is being jammed! We are on our own! We are pinned down with that enemy sniper fire as well. Orders?" . Out in the open, the ground forces could not survive the suppressing fire. While the armored Zabrak could with his beskaram, many on the ground were not so lucky as him. The mandalorian he was speaking to was brutally shot,PEW! The blast probably for the horned giant. The pure chaos was thrilling, the Fett believed like many of the mandode, that battle was how true mandalorians tested themselves. The ultimate honor in overcoming challenge was in battle. What was harder then fighting for ones life?

"TAKE COVER VOD! USE BUILDINGS, CIVILLIAN VEHICLES, OR ANYTHING YOU CAN MANAGE FOR COVER! DIG IN !THESE GUTLESS SCUM WILL HAVE TO SEND US TO MANDA BEFORE THEY TAKE THIS STREET!" , the imposing giant howled. The intensity of his repeater firing at the shield before falling back to a land speeder for cover, the brute would reload his weapon as his back hit the speeder. His arms were unprotected from blaster fire still, meaning that to an extent he needed cover just like his men. There was very little cover that could protect his frame out in the open,if the enemy took out this land speeder he would very much be an exposed target. The wrestler's stacked arms moved to reload the repeater, his T-Visor helmet looking at a fellow mando (Brent Warnel) who had rushed to the defenses like a ture member of the mandode.

"You!" , the brute pointing the mandalorian volunteer, not knowing that such an esteemed member had joined the defense. "Our comm systems are being jammed, which means I cant tell them to rough up the snipers suppressing us. It would be suicide to charge the enemy shields with them firing at us. I need you to go and coordinate the sniper teams to suppress enemy snipers in the vegetation! After this is done, get yourself back here for the charge!WE cannot let them get a foothold here!" , the brute handed a datapad to the individual, showing him were the four sniper teams were in the area. The marksmen they were dealing with were elite, their precision had mowed down many. Even with sniper suppression , it may not be enough. The two of them could not let the enemy sustain a foothold here, the city would fall within the hour.

There was no other way to stop them, with the portable shield , the kill zone had become obsolete. This choke point was no longer a sound strategy, however mandalorians were not stupid beasts that threw their lives away. Good warriors always fought with strategy, and brute force. Lacking in one regard gave a being nothing but either a brawler, or a politician. Neither were suited for war."Ill cover you when you are ready!"

The man was tired more than anything the past few months had dolled out a beating onto him, left him rather out of sorts for a time. But he'd recovered, bounced back like he always did, and that was done, but it didn't change that he was still irrevocably exhausted in a physical sense, but such was life. Maybe he was angry, his sense of duty corroded by the change in policies that had seemingly undone all those who bore his name had fought for, at the direction of their own funnily enough, but it left a bad taste in his mouth all the same. Silas Mantis never had, and never would trust the force, thus why he'd been all for being rid of it.

But times changed, he knew that better than anyone.

While the details eluded him in terms of specifics, he believed he'd heard the words 'alliance' and 'attack', so when others began strapping on their beskar he didn't bother to question it. If it was the Galactic Alliance, well, Silas couldn't say he was all that surprised, that which went around had a way of coming back around. So he lifted himself from where he lay, and donned the armor of his people. Loaded for bear, the warrior made off to join the others.

What was another fight?

Equip: 8x Protectraks (Online and projecting shields over base and surrounds)
1x Flying Fortress (Preparing for takeoff)

Blood and cinders on the wind. Even with my buy’ce on, my nostrils are alive with flame and the viscera of carnage far off.

“Combine the Protectrak shields to cover for the civilian evac. Give us a buffer.” Now was not the time for the cacophony of many voices giving their ideas on what should be done.

Now was the time for action.

“[member="Garon Priest"]. You have a target, I am uploading it now. Shoot the Bothan and the commanders.” The boy. I remember the boy, he was lethal with his sniper rifle, and twice as willing to die for the cause. He’d saved [member="Yasha Mantis"] more than once, and he deserved more than a set of mismatched armour. I send him the command position of the Galactic Alliance’s ground troops, and their Bothan officer.

I will feel much better when he is missing a head.

“You, are the shields holding?”

“Protectrak shields holding, Sir. We’re being fired upon by missile batteries, holding steady... it's not helping much with the civies who are stranded.” The Mandalorian says, and I smirk as a message comes through that the Galactic Backsides are attempting to jam our comms. I snap twice and Grufa & Dislo break off from my Yalilyr, heading into the shadows to hunt down and salvage as many people as they could to safety.

“Everyone on MBE’s for comm. Patch me through to [member="Skosk Fett"] and [member="Brent Warnel"]…. Fett!” Finally something useful from that brain of Australis. The MBE’s cannot be conventionally jammed. We have our comms and they have no way of knowing that advantage exists on their side of it.

“He’s not on our network.”

I snap my crush gaunt fingers, and Tuulu, one of my Yalilyr salutes and steps forward. “Find him and get him attached to one. Give him this message: It’s Ambrose Mantis. We’ll flank the shabla mooks. I’ll give Fett a distraction. Be prepared to move.” I nod and Tuulu bolts off.

I know in a matter of seconds, Tuulu will be on the trail and toward the 85th Street barrier. I send an artillery tank to Fett’s position, to help solidify his placements.

"Sir! The enemy forces are attempting to hit our artillery. They're banding at 85th Street.”

“Send in 6 of the Fury-Class fighters on a strafing run of the enemy troops. Target their artillery and placements. Kettle them in as small a space as you can.”

“Oya.”

6 Fury-Class Star Fighters roared toward [member=“Bandor Kre’fey”]’s position, giving no quarter on firing on the GA troops and their position.

“Where’s the Flying Fortress?”

“Still incoming, Sir.”

“Get it airborne and within firing range of their battle cruiser. None of these aruetii are getting out alive. Keep me posted on Mand'alor the Infernal's time to entry.”

“Oya!”

Cassiopeia really wasn't prepared for the random, surprise attack by the Galactic Alliance. It wasn't something that necessarily surprised her, just... She really wasn't ready. And she really didn't expect them to attack Myrkr. She should have known though, she somehow always managed to find herself in surprise invasions. It seemed like a revolving situation by now. At least it led to some exciting moments. She really wished she'd actually been lucky enough to be in armor, but at least she wore her belt and had her weapons hidden under white dress.

Of course, her mind was still shocked by Raiz's proposal. She didn't even have a chance to say Yes, No, or Maybe. She saw the box, stared for a moment, and was just about to say yes before she noticed Raiz's comms go off. He gave her a cheek a kiss, just as the city alarms went off. Plus, her own comms were going off by then, too. She took the box, gave a nod towards Raiz as she stood up, wincing at her only half eaten burger. She really wanted the rest of that burger, too.

In either case, she moved into the streets, where the majority civilians were either panicking, or heading towards various bunkers and safe locations throughout the city. A few had their own weapons prepared to defend their home. She caught sight of the burning forest in the background, which made her feel sick to her stomach. It was awful what war would cause a person to do to not only another sentient being, but also the organisms that lived in the effected environments. It was depressing that a supposedly light sided nation would be willing to murder countless living organisms in the name of vengeance.

She took a look at the little box that Raiz had given her and with a small smile in the middle of the commotion, she opened it and slowly slid the ring onto her left ring finger. With a smile and a happy sigh, she focused her attention back to everything going on around her. "Listen! Follow the Emergency Action Plan & Evacuation Procedures." Her voice commanding, but soft. She began to bark several orders to the civilians, who slowly began to listen as they began to head towards their designated safety areas as she helped guide them.

The fires of war were fanned. Death swirled by the light of flame and the drum of battle echoed with the beat of every heart of the mando'ade. He scanned the approaching enemy, his HUD marking the encroaching attackers. The Galactic Alliance, the light in the Galaxy who fought for justice, for the innocents, were raining down their own version of Justice for wrongs done against them, slights that they heralded for war.

The vode would rise up, rage and determination in their hearts. Yet Garron was not the same as the others. He was not moved by righteous anger. He merely sought to kill. Death would be a sweet release that would free them from their angst filled lives. He felt a moment of envy as he located a target and slowly began to squeeze the trigger. Yet he paused as he received new orders from [member="Ambrose Mantis"].

With the image of the GA commander flashing on the interior of his buy'ce he grunted and double clicked his communications to relay his acknowledgement of his new orders. Moving to the other side of the roof he settled once more and scanned as the troops began marching deeper into the city.

It didn't take much effort to find the bothan. The man was leading from the front. A worthy commander. He almost felt a sense of regret as he slowly pulled the trigger, and fired the Verpine sniper rifle at [member="Bandor Kre'fey"] , intending to turn his head into a spray of brain matter. Yet the slug ricocheted away due to the personal shield generators being utilized.

His eyes narrowed momentarily as his mind flickered through potential avenues of attack. His HUD flashed in several points in the building wall next to where the commander and his troops currently resided. Traversing the rifle to the critical weak points the rifle barked five times, burrowing into the structure and destroying the integrity. With a shudder the building began to fall toward [member="Bandor Kre'fey"] and his men, even as Garron quickly reloaded his rifle.

If they survived their personal shield would most likely be near to having expended it's energy. And Garon was prepared to test it's strength with another salvo until his mission was completed.

Brent grabbed the datapad from the vod([member="Skosk Fett"]) who had picked him out from the crowd and listened to what he had to say. As the other Mando was explaining their situation, Brent craned his neck from some cover he had found and check the situation out on the outskirts of the city. The GA were hammering their position with everything they had. Mando's were dying in droves, but the GA were right there with them taking just as many casualties, if not more. Infantry was bounding across cover, snipers were picking easy targets from their cover, and small arms fire criss-crossed the space between both sides of the fight.

Brent heard the other Mando tell him to get the snipers coordinated and help them suppress the GA snipers who were pinning his men down. Brent checked the datapad and noticed only four sniper teams were still active. He winced inwardly, they were going to be hard pressed to try and stall the GA advance with only four teams of snipers. Regardless of his inner feelings, the other vod had a point, and he needed to get those teams to lay down coordinated fire or they were not going to last long.

He looked at the other Mando and nodded his head in approval, "Oya. Cover me."

Brent double checked the datapad for the nearest sniper team. Less than one hundred yards to his east, a quick sprint. He peaked his head around the cover he was using and gauged the distance and what type of enemies would have him in their sights as he ran for the team. He got comfortable with the route he was planning in his mind and sprang from cover and charged across the battlefield towards the nearest sniper team.

He hoped the other Mando would be laying down some fire for him as he ran. He covered the distance to the snipers quickly, earning some small carbon scoring on his armor from blaster shots. He flung himself against a broken building and caught his breath, searching for the Mando sniper team near his position. They were two floors up, and it did not sound like much blaster fire was coming from them. He climbed the broken stairs to their floor and noticed the team was huddled below a blown out piece of the wall. As Brent attempted to close the gap between them a blaster bolt streaked into the room and struck the wall directly next to his head, causing him to dive forward and find cover next to the other Mando's.

"I'm assuming we're in a bit of a situation?"

"The areutii have us pinned down and we can't fire back," one of the men told him.

Brent nodded his head, thinking of only one thing to do. "Well, I'm gonna draw their fire, take them out while they are trained on me. Understand? Target specifically the enemy snipers, we need to thin their numbers or it's going to be a hard fight."

Brent checked his blaster rifle and took several deep breaths, preparing for the upcoming sprint. He checked the datapad for the next sniper team and orientated himself to his surroundings so he would know which way to run. Once he was ready he got his feet underneath him and dashed back down the stairs and out into the open, running for his life towards his next target. Precise blaster fire struck the ground next to him, throwing super heated gravel onto his boots. He tucked his head and pushed his body harder, giving it his all as he strove to get towards the next team.

Myrkyr was only a jump from Manda'yaim, and the flight was as bumpy as the current situation. Alkor came out of hyperspace to the sight of hellfire raining down on what could easily be considered a civilian world and the incriminating sigil of the Alliance emblazoned on the side of the offending vessel. Already, the defensive emplacements were engaged, and they returned fire with overwhelming prejudice.

Mandos were good at giving better than they got, after all.

He placed his buy'ce overhead and the HUD came to life, quickly ascertaining the defensive frequency and sorting out where the greatest need lay. While the urge to fly straight in and strafe the Alliance vessel was high, there were lives at stake, and preserving the people came first. So dictated the Resol'nare.

He punched the throttle forward with a grimace, aware that his approach vector took him between firing lines and into the thick of combat. Alkor disregarded that fact and watched his Navicomputer faithfully. Since he gave up the Force, these machines had become his sixth sense- and in many ways, they were more accurate, and far more reliable.

He spun in a tight roll to narrowly avoid a streaming arc of energy from the capital ship and pointed the nose of his ship toward Hyllyard. There was no time for a proper landing, and the landing pads were significantly damaged besides. His only guaranteed insertion would require an exchange.

It demanded his X-Wing.

Alkor made the decision with no regrets. The ship was a relic of his former life, and it was replaceable. The lives of the people were not.

He let out a ragged breath and steeled himself, committing to his current course.

And he punched the ejection mechanism.

Allies: The Galactic Alliance, [member="Coren Starchaser"], [member="Mazik Stazi"], [member="Taeli Raaf"]
Enemies: The Mandalorian Empire, [member="Kaine Australis"]
The Mandalorians defence fleet was quick to act once the first shots were fired, reports were coming in quickly about the extent of damage that the autocannons had done, engulfing the forest in flames and devastating troops who had laid within undergoing training. As troops from the Alliance craft began to descend, reports came in as troops began to land, or came under fire from orbital and planetary defenses. It had been expected that not all of the Alliance contingent would make it to the surface, even make it out of the system once the assault had begun, yet anyone and everyone among the Supreme Commander's strike force had come willingly, they knew full well the potential sacrifice they would make, and they all made it willingly. Beings die in war, it is the price that must be paid for victory.

"Long-range fire is coming in from the main bulk of the Australis' fleet, Commander." The report from the XO was short but sufficient, summarising the number of over reports that were quickly shouted from officer to officer across the bridge of the Vindicator. Aryn could see the flashes of turbolaser fire as it crashed against the shields of his flagship. The molecular shielding absorbed the vast majority of the fire, especially at such a significant distance, he knew full well that the Australis' flagship would need to close the immense distance between them further before it would be able to effectively damage the Vindicator, as it stood, what little damage was done was quickly restored by the advanced systems.

Soon enough, a series of messages came in from other Alliance fleet groups, [member="Coren Starchaser"] and his wing of fighters were first, requesting tasking. "Order Starchaser to support the assault on the ground base, if his wing is capable of destroying the planetary turbo-lasers firing on us, it will be of immense support to the fleet." Seconds after Aryn's orders went out, they were sent to the Jedi from his signals officer, just in time for the report on the and formation of [member="Mazik Stazi"]'s group to come through. "Open a channel with Commodore Stazi." Aryn ordered as he stepped away from the viewport, heading down the command walk-way towards the holocommunicator towards the rear of the bridge, waiting for the Commodore to respond before he spoke up. "Commodore, ensure your patrol group focuses on defending the Vindicator, busy the Australis' fleet while we ready to fire on Hyllyard." Once the orders were given, Aryn turned back to his own crew, ready to provide his own orders.

As the Vindicator continued to recharge its autocannons, and adjusted their aim toward Hyllyard, its other weapons began to open fire upon the orbital stations which had begun to fire upon the ground forces, as did both the Dagobah and Nemo Ven, the small group of three capital ships continued on their course, focused upon their goal of making their assault on Myrkr itself, not allowing themselves to be distracted or caught up in the destruction of the Mandalorian fleet as well. For now, the fighter screening around them remained defensive, ready to protect the three ships from any Mandalorian onslaught.

"Supreme Commander, incoming holo-call from the Acting Grand Marshal." The masked visage of the Supreme Commander briefly turned towards his comm officer, before turning back towards the holocommunicator which now lay dormant, waiting for the coming call to be answered. "Put her through."

Kei looked up.

The stars almost looked pretty as they streaked past. If he had more time, Kei would have probably admired them if he had more time, if he wasn't about to dive headfirst into battle. There was something relaxing about hyperspace, the colours that formed helped. Kei loved shooting through hyperspace, exploring the galaxy and learning so much about different cultures that were spread across different planets, different corners of the galaxy.

He knew that he didn't have that luxury. He was diving into battle, The Galactic Alliance had invaded their home and the Mandolorian's wanted revenge. They would get their revenge, they would tear The Alliance apart. No-one tried to invade anything belonging to The Mandolorian Empire and expected it to be easy, the Mandolorian's would throw every single thing they had in reserve to defend their home and then they would throw even more.

"Commander"

Kei grinned softly. He looked at the countdown, the timer that gave them the exact countdown until they arrived. Three minutes, they would need to be ready to position themselves perfectly so that Kei could fire the laser on the Bane. That was the one weapon that gave them the advantage, everything else was there to soak the damage that The Bane would have otherwise taken. Kei had thought this through, kind of anyway.

"Is everyone ready?"

The pop was heard. The fleet slowed back to real time, perfectly positioned behind what appeared to be the main Alliance fleet ([member="Aryn Teth"]) and above it's support fleet ([member="Coren Starchaser"]). Within moments, the big orb began to move, positioning itself to get the best shot against the battlecruiser, the best shot to take out it's engines. The missle cruisers and The Flying Dutchman moved in perfect sync, protecting the Dutchman's Bane as ordered. They would soak the damage, they knew their role. No-one was firing, no-one needed to fire just yet.

Kei grinned.

Yuvie watched in the distance as the enemy artillery bombarded the other GA forces, such would allow the needed time to prepare and ambush and use certain tactics on the enemy. Yes this was the Mando home turf, but Twilight squadron was very good at adapting to current conditions, probably since many of it's members where.... undesirable that had past experience in certain places. "Expect the enemy to have armor, lay down mines across roads and have grenade launchers ready, I am not sure what we are going up against but expect it to he heavy and armed to the teeth".

A rather unorthodox response from the troops sounded as they raced into the tree lines, the different arrays of weapons each person carried, from sniper rifles, heavy blaster and repeaters making the Twi'light force a little awkward to deal with. "Stay low and let em past, they are blocking communications, thus they two will have limited range, if the Mandos had droids ,leave em to me, been a while since I've hacked anything". Eventually all the trooper spread out, their green and brown camouflage becoming one with the surrounding bush and foliage, Yuvie sitting a top of a tree, eyeing the battlefield from some binoculars, so far so decent, but that was not a certainty.

______________________________________________________________________________

With the word that the Galactic Alliance was proceeding with a conflict against the Mandalorian Empire on Myrkr, Juggernaut Squadron were ready and set to go; Eight Y-Wings had been launched out into real space with it’s carrier the ANS Maelstorm trailing slowly behind them. It’s pilots had prepped up their preflight check lists before the prolonged arrival to their current destination so all that awaited them was the reeling feeling of making those Mandos feel scorn. They were rag tag group of rebels that consisted of rookies searching for fresh meat while the veterans such as Arvis himself were equally composed but not without any sense of moral enthusiasm to bring some thrill into the engagement. They were a small bunch with a formidable reputation among most alliance intel but without the perks of having a recognisable name such as The Rogues.

“Juggernauts, on me.” An easy smile fell into place as Arvis counted off each pilot in his squadron; a wave of familiarity hitting him in one place as they sounded off. A lot of these brave men and women had been his wingmates for quite sometime now and while they had lost a few faces along the way, the new batch of rookies were just as capable for any job. Gripping on the stick sheer determination came through as he put through a channel for the GA fleet in proximity. “Vindicator One, this is Juggernaut Leader. We are on station and awaiting instructions.”

A jolly whoop sounded over the comm, "Those Mando scum won’t know what hit ‘em!” Juggernaut Seven, a pilot with an ego to bare exclaimed who was joined along by Juggernaut Six in banter.

“Less chatter boys. Accelerate to attack speed, Terrix as usual you’re on my six.”

“Have I ever let you down, boss?” Arvis’s gunner replied with exuberance in tone.

The Squadron fell into a attack formation with Arvis at the tip of the V, firing up his engines at full the Squadron sped out and proceeded to close in on Capital ships in the area.

Bane checked his blaster carbine, the BUD in his helmet showing 20 individuals in the small building across the street. He checked and rechecked his head and armor, making sure everything was ready to take on the GA scum. He turned to his troops standing behind him - a small force of about 10 men. Usually, 10 men couldn't do this type of op. But they weren't just any men. They were Mandalorians. A single round from his firestorm went the doors flying in. They went in, guns blazing. Four of his troops took cover on either side of the door. Streams of blueberries cake from the hole they had just user-friendly and from their guns, too. Bane smiled. If he had to go down, it would be like this. Fighting beside his vode, to protect his beautiful planet.
