Private All Stars Burn as One

Inside Carbon Fifteen, Roche Asteroid Field

The recycled air still felt cold against his skin, despite him wearing an thinsuit underneath his armor. The Bryn'adul make it too hot, and the Verpine come back and make it too cold. His eyes darted around the enormous cavern, making out of the warrens and ledges that criss-crossed its rocky walls. Before the Bryn'adul had attacked, it had been the Verpine equivalent of an open-air market - he could still see some of the lumber and metal bars from the now-wrecked stalls and storefronts scattered across the stony floor. Whatever the Bryn'adul had done with it had been horrendous judging by the stench in it. What beasts they had fed and housed here, he could not tell, but they had left an unusual stench and the occasional hard scale as well. But they were gone from this asteroid at least and that would give him a chance to brush up with a brief warm-up bout before he and other members of the Silver Jedi Concord delved deeper into the field.

Amelia Venthyra Amelia Venthyra

”You would think that you’d get used to the sight after a while, but it is never a pleasant sight.” A feminine voice spoke as metallic steps could be barely heard stepping on the rock. As her boots had metal teeth for the extra grip in the case of hiking or even climbing. A redhead approaches the lone man who appeared to be absorbed with the remnants of Bryna’dul’s existence. Well, that and the previous Verpine that had no doubt been dealt a terrible fate. In her years of poking around in long dead civilizations and clearing up the dark side that had been forgotten so long ago. This wasn’t exactly new to Amelia, but seeing a more recent version had a different feeling to it. It just proved that modern civilization and the people who live haven’t changed from one bad hand to the next.

Under normal circumstances, Amelia would’ve been located somewhere within Wild Space, but in this case Amelia was pulled to be out in the field. She wasn’t sure if they were just stretched thin, but there was hardly anything else going on so Amelia went with the flow so to speak. It appeared however, that one of their Knights wished to brush up on their fighting styles before they go neck deep in whatever sort of trouble they might find.

”I understand you wish to refine your techniques, so I’ll just focus on defense. If you manage to get past my defense, then I guess you could say your warm-up is complete. But do try not to get carried away alright?” Amelia says this as defense was her specialty when it came to both blasterfire and lightsabers. Amelia was positioned roughly three to four meters away from Travot before she pulled her lightsaber from her belt and in one motion ignited the purple blade. The way she held the lightsaber however, was both hands were on the lightsaber with the blade angled downward with one foot forward. Or basically the opening stance of Niman.

Travot nodded at Amelia Venthyra Amelia Venthyra as she approached. She seemed slightly younger than him, but she also seemed just as competent as him. As she assumed her fighting stance, he briefly sized it up. While not a Niman user himself, he had sparred with a number of Jedi who preferred the style. He himself turned slightly to the side but cocked his head to directly face her, but leading with his right foot. His hand followed suite and thrust out over that foot, while his left hand dangled behind him. A tap of his saber's activation stud called forth a blazing blue blade which cast an ethereal light across the darkened and ruined market.

"I've been experimenting with Sokan," started the man, "but it's not fully refined yet, just so you know what you're getting yourself into..."

With that, he executed a decidedly non-Sokan maneuver. He lunged forward, with the blade moving almost straightforward and aimed at her center - it was an attack that clearly emulated the fencing style of Makashi. What he had researched of Sokan so far had shown it to be a more defensive version of Ataru, and for that to work. He had to create an opening for the rest of the duel.
