DESCRIPTION
Forged in the heart of the Crucible for the Diarchy's first Shadowlight Festival on Bastion, the All-Souls Whisp Blade was commissioned as one of the top raffle prizes for All Souls' Day. Rather than creating another relic of war, the Diarchy's artisans were instructed to craft something that could serve as both a functional weapon and a beautiful keepsake. The sword is built on a carefully tempered high-carbon durasteel alloy blank, hammered and folded until the grain runs true. During the quenching and finishing stages, the smiths introduced a proprietary mixture of trace compounds and metal oxides into the bath. In-character, the exact formula is deliberately left unnamed and closely guarded, but its effect is obvious: under any light the blade seems to shimmer, shifting between muted purples, silvers, and ember-orange tones as it moves. The effect is entirely cosmetic and chemically inert, but it gives the weapon its unmistakable festival character.
