All In Your Mind | The Je'daii Order

Many months prior the Enclave of Svivren was little more than desolate ruins, clinging to its murderous history of blood shed between Jedi and Sith alike. A place of mourning and resentment, it was not until two vastly different paths aligned that the Enclave was rebuilt, favouring neither light nor dark it was constructed in the promise of neutrality and respect. Here the Force converges to form halls of study and introspection. All of the pieces have finally come together, and it is now that the Je'daii can venture to their newly formed Temple of the Force.

With its unveiling at hand, the Je'daii convene to make use of the facilities now available to them. A lesson in the Force is to be led by the current Steward of the Enclave, Asha Hex, in the absence of Master Aotirr who remains in a perpetually weaked state.

All are welcome and encouraged to participate out within the central courtyard regardless of age or rank, and even a handful of Younglings from the Academy have been brought across to learn away from home. As a result there are more than a few guards flanking the Enclave to ensure that no harm comes to the children or any who make the journey to Svivren to witness the unveiling of the Silent Enclave.

It hadn't been too long since she had landed the Prophet with [member="Caedyn Arenais"] at her side. She had found it strange to come to this place with him, seeing it in its newly reconstructed state, being that when last she was here it had been with his father and it had lay in ruins. Of course the pair had seen it in all its former glory, back when the Jedi roamed its halls, but everyone who was coming here to day had never and would never see it in any other fashion. Yes, strange indeed.

"That should be enough..." she said, to nobody in particular though she knew her Padawan was close by, eyeing up the table which was filled with reusable bottles of water, and small snacks for the upcoming gathering, "Perhaps we should bring out some fruit, too?"

She looked straight at Cae then, genuinely hoping to find out what he thought about it, before turning around at the sound of approaching voices. Young Je'daii, older Je'daii, Masters, Younglings, Journeyers... Many wished to specialize - or already did so - in Qigong Kesh, but others were here for the lessons which would be provided, and to witness the first day of activity here at the Svivren Enclave.

Asha could feel her nerves begin to build within her chest at the thought of having to teach so many faces, some she did not know, others she did, it didn't matter... She had given instructions on a smaller scale before, such as to Caedyn, but an entire group? No such luck.

Still, there was a first time for everything and she was a Hex. That meant she would do her damned best, as failure was not an option.

Today was an important day for his Master, [member="Asha Hex"] the residing Steward of the Silent Temple of Svivren. While she and her apprentice had been here for some twelve days already, the temple itself was finally being opened up to the rest of the Je'daii Order and it would be following today that she would find herself most busied tending to the needs of all coming and going in their learning and focus of Qigong Kesh. It was only natural that in light of this, Caedyn stood alongside his Master donning the robes of the path, in representation of Qigong Kesh itself but so too in honor and support of his Master.

"I've never seen you nervous before, Master..." Caedyn grinned to himself, looking back to meet Asha's gaze with a near mischievous expression. She had always seemed to know what she was meant to do in her duty to the Force and under the Je'daii fulfilling her beloved Order in whatever their needs were while too somehow balancing his training. She had always appeared most confident to his eyes and now in light of the suspense of today, he found it somewhat humbling to see that she was as much sentient as the rest of them; "We've been running all over the place for more than a week now, I'm pretty sure we've got everything..." He chuckled quietly to her, soon bobbing his head to the side in a moments indifference, "I'll go and see if there's anything left in the Kitchens" he added just so to reassure her and alleviate his mentor's nerves, soon taking it upon himself to wander off that she might have a moment to catch her breath.

There was a wealth of history over the Silent Temple of Svivren, the place was in his blood, his father had trained and lived within these halls since the age of five where it had once been under the care and use of the Jedi Order. Such histories that Caedyn for the most part remained completely ignorant of and yet somehow still felt a sense of belonging despite his new-found disinterest in Veiere's upbringing and life in general. The Force here was immensely strong, even he could feel it swirling around him in every pace, a nexus of power for which those training in the ways of Qigong Kesh would later come to appreciate.

"We get snacks at Je'daii classes and meetings?" came a voice from the approaching group that would be very recognizable to Asha, though not so much to Caedyn. "I should've joined you guys sooner!" While he spoke, Cotan fully separated himself out of the throng in the courtyard, walking up to Asha just as Caedyn was walking away. It was a bit of a dangerous proposition, making himself noticeable like that - he thought he could recognize the faces of some of the younglings that were there - but living dangerously was part of the norm for Cotan. As well, Asha was one of the only people he actually knew.

In fact, currently, she was the only person he actually knew.

And even then, that wasn't very well.

Cotan never did well mixing new people and large groups.

Good thing I'm not the one teaching.

"Contrary to your apprentice, though, I think I have seen you nervous before - or something close to it." His expression didn't change from the grin he had been wearing just a moment ago, although his eyes carried a bit of a mischievous glint - before they softened somewhat. "I'm sure you'll do fine. If you need a helping hand for anything, I can make sure to hang out near the front row. Can't say I'll be very useful if it doesn't involve a lightsaber, but I'm told I make a good test subject sometimes."

He wasn't surprised at the growth of the Order given the dedication of it's leadership, it had been a long time coming, but now it was a living thing in motion. The Zabrak normally got invites to these types of things, but coming and going off Bakura came with it's own risks given. Things had changed though and Bakura was no longer his home, in fact at the moment no where was really his home. That would change eventually, for now though it was good not to be stuck in one spot for too long, and there seemed to be plenty to do everywhere. Here though he was keeping to a simple role as he checked over the guards who were watching over the meeting. Only a single of the old hands was on duty as he watched over the newly trained recruits. There would be more then a few new bloods he was sure, and the heart of the old guard would either be training or working with search and rescue and other more difficult tasks. Still he couldn't help a small grin as one of the men gave him an old salute he'd never know went back to the days of the Fringe.

As he made his way around towards the front of the group he sent a pulse of warmth towards [member="Asha Hex"] letting her keep working on her busy day. Still though he he did his best to support as he followed the warmth with calming light, Never let them see you sweat, it's the trouble with being one of the bosses. They need you to look larger then life up there. You've gone through far worse then giving out a lesson, know your strength and they will as well. He realized as he spoke that he was speaking as if to a soldier about to lead their men into battle, but really it amounted to the same thing didn't it?

Snacks.

Anytime there were snacks involved, Sobaan was going to be in the vicinity. As he was now, sitting in the kitchen inside of a cabinet with a handful of sticky buns. Ever since he'd been given one he'd had an addiction to them. They were sweet, and messy, and he liked both things. Suffice to say, he was in second heaven sitting inside of a kitchen cabinet. He was enjoying himself so much he started humming as he licked the gooey goodness off of his fingers. Of Jyn found him he'd probably get a scolding, but he didn't even know if she was there or not, and he had this new habit of just going wherever the heck he felt like going. It was a good way to get to know the rest of the galaxy. It was also a good way to get lost.

He shoved another sticky bun in his mouth and sat back, lekku twitching happily.

She shook her head with a grin that cut through her anxious state when [member="Caedyn Arenais"] spoke. Oh how the tables had turned, typically it was she who was reassuring her student, as it ought to have been, but it wasn't an unwelcome change. After all she was a student too, only a couple of years older than he. Sometimes it was easy to forget that, given the duties she upheld.

"Thank you, Padawan," she said, effortlessly able to switch between referring to him as such or by his name at this point depending on their surroundings. Trying to remain proper when in the public eye, yet also giving him time to be the youth that he was, to enjoy his new home, when they were in private.

As one exited, another entered in the form of [member="Cotan Sar'andor"] and she could not help but smirk.

"What is it with you and snacks? I'll make sure there's tea when we're done..."

The latter was said with a kindly smile, her tone a bit more welcoming and lacking her usual joking fashion. She let out a small exhale of breath, calming her nerves, yet what the damn Judge said next had her shaking her head. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the reference to Ceto, how the Younglings had silenced the both of them was not something she wished to remember in that exact moment, she was already struggling to keep her head on straight.

His offer to help quickly removed the rest of the conversation from her mind and she beamed a grin at him.

"Oh, I shall most definitely take you up on that offer, Cotie..." She snickered, before shaking her head, "No, but seriously... Thank you. I didn't expect to actually see you here, it's a welcome surprise."

A voice in her mind alerted her to the fact that [member="Sargon Vynea"] had also appeared on Svivren. She did not know whether to feel more or less pressure at his presence, though his words did make sense and soothed her further. She had faced a lot worse than a crowd of people eager to learn, he of all people knew that, and so she sought his face out in the crowd and offered him a grateful expression.

It was then that her commlink buzzed. The voice of Akro Sicmus, head of the Je'daii's security program, sounded from its place on her waist.

"Unauthorized ship has landed close by, E-wing star fighter. Anyone you know?"

"No, hold them off at the gate - I'll send an extra body your way... Find out their purpose, and keep me informed. Maybe they came to learn..."

After all, how else would they even know about this place? It didn't really come up on any radars, to most it was nothing more than a bunch of ruins.

Glancing back to Cotan she let out a nervous laugh before clapping her hands. "Almost time to start... Time to gather the Younglings..."

Lothar Lundgren had his cyan and orange robes adorned when he entered the central courtyard of the Order's recently reconstructed temple. It amazed Lothar, truly. The progress that has been made to advance the Order in just the short time he has been around really showed the momentum they had garnered, and that would likely rocket them even further in the future.

In the brief tour he had given himself before deciding to meet with his fellow Je'daii, Lothar had noticed a higher than expected number of guards. This peaked the Valkryi's curiousity. Was something to be expected while they were here? He hoped not, and assumed that he was just being a little too paranoid. Either way, Odiiran rested itself on his hip, should worst come to worst. It was true that his combat experience was... limited. That last time he had actually fought anyone or anything was on Midvinter, before he had joined the Je'daii Order. Pesky wars...

Now was when he looked around the courtyard to pick out familiar faces. Immediately he noticed [member="Cotan Sar'andor"] and [member="Asha Hex"]. Grinning, he walked up to the pair. Asha had begun to gather up the Younglings, at which point Lothar figured that was the cause of the extra guards, so Lothar spoke to Cotan. "Hello there, Judge," He put emphasis on the Judge, poking fun at their initial meeting on Ceto. "You must like these Temples. What brings you here?" He flashed a smile at Cotan and glanced back at what Asha was doing. He was completely unaware of what he was probably interrupting.

Into the Kitchens once more, for who knows what number of times today.

Caedyn had done his best to help [member="Asha Hex"] prepare everything and while he tried to comfort and dismiss her anxiety, he was feeling a little exhausted himself. It had been just over a week or so now and they'd been hard at work trying to ensure every last need of the Silent Enclave's was met before it would begin receiving Personnel from the other walks of Je'daii life. It was rather exciting now that the place wouldn't be nearly as quiet and lonely as it had been though surrounded by mass forestry that Svivren was so well known for, there was a labyrinth of green natural life to get through before anyone might just 'stumble' upon the place on foot.

Entering into the vast kitchenary, Caedyn's eyes darted about the place for the nearest hint of fruit or a fruit-holding-looking-cupboard and such. The whole food department wasn't his specialty, that's what droids were for unless it came down to either one of two things. His Masters cooking, and eating...In general. "Mmmm...-Hmph!" He hummed to himself, glancing about and soon concluding, right hand pointing to the decided cupboard for which he stepped in closer to and opened the doors.

He was looking for fruit, though hadn't at all expected to find a...-Togruta? Atlleast they looked like a Togruta, more that than anything else. His sudden shock and near jump out of his own clothes didn't offer too much time to question his origin until after he'd swallowed his heart and taken a moment to calm himself. "....-Not what I was expecting..." He whispered under his breath hastily looking over the other a little warily, "You....-Didn't eat all of the fruit by chance did you ?" he asked [member="Sobaan Palle"] a little reluctantly, not really knowing a better way to break the ice given their first impression of one another being what it was.

Sobaan blinked at the light when [member="Caedyn Arenais"] opened the door to his hiding place. He was poised with a half eaten sticky bun to his wife open mouth, caught completely red handed. Except that the older one didn't say anything at all about the sticky buns, choosing only to mention fruit and ask whether he had ate it all. Given the amount of sticky on his face it would probably seem rather unlikely that he'd eaten any fruit. That and it was easy to see several missing buns from the tray.

"No fruit. Just sticky buns," he saif, holding the tray out. "Want one? I know where they keep the best ones. They always have some at these."

He grinned and scooted forward to climb out if the cabinet. Being as he had now been discovered he might as well stop hiding. That and he needed a drink to wash down all the sticky buns he'd just eaten. A glass of blue milk would do it but he didn't see any sitting around for him to grab hold of, which made him impatient and his mouth started to lock up because of all the sticky. Pointing to his mouth, he looked at Caedyn and whined. He was thirsty!

Jade gripped the harness of the griffin as she followed the voices. She couldn't help but smile when she heard Sobaan's squeaky voice.

The griffin churred and growled uneasily at the sight of so many people and pressed against her. "Easy, they are friends." Jade patted down the ruffled head feathers.

"Hello, mind I tag along?" She came closer to the crowd, turning on her forcesight. She had given the lizard back to the healers, feeling confidant that the condition was somewhat dimmed.

Damn it all if she didn't still crave those blasted pills.

Reaching with the force, Jade grabbed a water bottle and gave it to the youngling whom sounded like he needed it.

If out of nothing else then years of habit Sargon found himself moving towards the security concern as it was reported in. A few minutes brought him close enough to watch the guards take up an interception position, quiet and neat, seems the recruits would be fine. Of course they didn't have the dangerous feel of a military unit, a bit more of the police feel was here. At the most they expected to stop some foolery, they weren't checking the ship, and no one had even considered taking it out of the air. It spoke volumes about the Je'daii's ways, this wasn't an army, it was security. Well trained security, but security none the less. It was probably for the best, there was no border to protect, or even anyone to really protect it from. The Je'daii would eventually run into enemies but if it was the kind you needed and army to protect you from they didn't have the resources at the moment anyway to handle that kind of threat.

The real problem of course was they had nothing in space to support it with, not even a headquarters ship if things went way off the deep end. He was pretty sure they didn't have the resources for that either, without taxes or an economy to really back them up he was pretty sure the credits they made came from what little they operated and gifts. He could be wrong though, he'd never actually gotten involved with the Order's budget. Either way though it was a bit disconcerting just how vulnerable they were as a group, sooner or later he'd have to bring that up to the girls. Hanging back he waited for Asha to address the new comer, she was standing in for the Master so this was her territory. Besides it was a damn good time for observing Asha being in charge.

"Do you want the real answer or the Cotan answer, Lothar?" Cotan asked, after a moment spent trying to remember the Journeyer's name. "Because if it's the latter, it's a toss-up between appreciation for Asha's tea and trying to infiltrate your little operation for purposes yet to be determined." Turning away from Lothar for the moment, he looked back at Asha, having overheard what she'd just been discussing in the commlink. He'd received a rather frosty welcome at first when he flew in on a ship that the Je'daii didn't know was his (and when his droid sent the wrong authorization codes), so he could only imagine how much more worrying it might if somebody that they definitely didn't know showed up.

"Want me to go help with that?" he asked, gesturing to the commlink. "I bet Muscles-The-Large here and I can go screen whoever it is has decided to drop in on the little get together." And, in Cotan's mind, it'd be a circumstance in which he would feel himself much more useful than watching a lesson or helping teach it. "We might even get back before you need us for the lesson, Ashie." In that moment it became readily apparent that he had not missed Asha's referring to him as 'Cotie' yet again. Sadly, though, for Cotan...

Dammit, Ashie sounds better than Cotie.

It was about that moment that some of the slowly-gathering younglings recognized just who it was that was talking to Asha, and the buzz of young voices started to rise a little more in their immediate vicinity. Cotan, meanwhile, nearly looked ready to just grab Lothar and jog off to source of the security to disturbance without waiting for an answer. "My Jedi powers tell me they've probably recognized us."

[member="Lothar Lundgren"] [member="Asha Hex"]

As much as Asha wanted to go and tend to the situation at the gates herself, she knew that between Cotan and Lothar they would have it sorted in no time. As such when the suggestion came from Mr Cotie himself she gave him a very subtle nod and a smirk because Ashie totally sounded the better of the two and he knew it.

"If they are here to learn then let them pass, but we'll keep a pair of eyes on them to watch for any funny business."

With so many youngsters around security was naturally tighter than usual, but the Je'daii were not the sort to keep out those who wished to learn if they were sincere about it. Regardless of who they were... At least, until they gave them cause to decide otherwise.

Allowing the guys to go and deal with [member="Asheda Tyr"] - and hopefully bring another one into their fold if all things panned out correctly, - Asha stepped toward the center of the courtyard they were presently within and turned her sights over those who were present. Caedyn had yet to return from the kitchen, so the actual lesson itself would wait, but it didn't hurt to get everyone gathered around and ready to learn in the meantime.

"Je'daii young, and old... Gather around and quieten your minds. For those of you who do not know me," Which in truth was most of the younger crowd, "My name is Asha, and I'll be leading this session with you today. We'll be beginning shortly so find your places and maybe use this moment to meditate, to reach out and find the sometimes illusive energy which binds our universe together."

A few more minutes for the stragglers to return...

[member="Cotan Sar'andor"] [member="Sargon Vynea"] [member="Jade The Rogue"] [member="Sobaan Palle"] [member="Caedyn Arenais"] [member="Lothar Lundgren"]

Jade closed her eyes and reached out to the force. It gently grasped her like an old friend and whisked her down its river. Her focus wobbled abit as pain seeped into her bones, but she didn't falter.

Jade started to lean on her staff, shaking slightly, locked in trance.

The Je'daii Journeyer chuckled at Cotan as he jested about infiltrating the Order. "Asha's tea is pretty magnificent." He had gotten the chance to try her tea on Ceto, after wondering away from all of the construction. Lothar watched as Cotan Sar'andor turned to face Asha. He hadn't exactly heard what was said over the commlink, just hearing bits and pieces. Unknown individual, yada yada. It was probably nothing, he thought at first, but then the memory of the extra guards he had noticed before drifted back into the spotlight of his mind. He bit the inside of his lip as he pondered the thought of using his blade today.

It was after this thought that Cotan referred to the Valkryi as "Muscles-The-Large". An oddly accurate nickname given the Journeyer's stature, yet also slightly ironic in the sense that he does not often use his physical strength. As his robes displayed, he was an adherent of Mahara Kesh (with the slight undertones of Qigong Kesh). However if need be, he would willingly transform into a "Muscles-The-Large"-esque character to defend the younglings. Smirking to himself as he thought that the younglings themselves would find the name humorous.

"Oh, was it your Jedi powers that told you that?" Again, the Valkryi chuckled. "Let's go check this situation out, then." At which point Lothar began to make his way to the disturbance with Cotan.

[member="Asha Hex"] | [member="Cotan Sar'andor"] | [member="Asheda Tyr"]

"Indeed, my Jedi powers," Cotan replied, his tone entirely serious. And completely at odds with the expression on his face. "I haven't learned any Je'daii ones yet, after all." He moved at a relatively quick pace towards the source of the disturbance; with the lesson starting up right behind him, he found it far preferable to deal with the disturbance quickly so that he could get back to what he really came for. And so, it was without a very long time walking that he and Lothar found themselves face to face with the Togruta intruder, still being carefully watched by the guards that had stopped her.

"What's a Jedi doing in the First Order?" was his first incredulous question for the newcomer, having heard what had been called in to Asha earlier. At least, she felt like a Jedi, more-or-less; nothing like any of the Knights of Ren or the Sith that Cotan had dealt with in the past, which was good. "And just what is it that the First Order wants here?" He found the concept of a group as small as this getting watched by the First Order to be a moderately worrisome one. It likely didn't help matters any that he was a member of the ORC as well. I think we're still sworn enemies.
