All Along the Watchtower | Galactic Alliance

War.

Its clutches once more grip the worlds of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, as soldiers from the Core to the Outer Rim are sent to fight and die against this new breed of enemy, this First Order. With the ultimate outcome of the Defense Force's latest push into Imperial space far from certain, back on the home front the considerable military industrial apparatus the Alliance developed to purge the Core of the One Sith turns its gaze inward, as megacorps and independent up and comers flock to make the lowest bids on Federal defense contracts.

Too long overconfident in their ability to overcome any assault, High Command has shifted its focus from routine peacekeeping and cult watch activities and refocused on making the borders secure. To that end, they have authorized not only a continuation but significant expansion of their ongoing projects to enhance the defenses of border worlds within the most immediate danger from First Order incursion. Determined never again to let something like the Battle for Skor happen under their watch, the they continue to push the Triumvirate Council for additional GADF Task Forces, installation of planetary shields, the towing in of orbital defense stations, and a mass array network of early warning hyperspace probes and stealth scouting fleets set on detecting any movement from the First Order.

With heightened customs protocols and border checks throughout Federation space, the construction of several SIS facilities as well as Space Ops Marine, Alliance Pathfinder, and other specialized first response bases along the Corellian Trade Spine, the Rimma Trade Route, and the Hydian Way. (Lothal, Kro Var, Manpha, Terminus, Saijo, Polis Massa, Subterrel, Skor, Askaj, Porchello, Javin, Belsavis, Kriselist, Bomis Koori, Tar Modea, Noc'ha'on, Copperline, Pendari, Kinyen, Mooja, Mechis, Kiffex)

Considering the high cost for such state of the art defense systems, the Alliance has reached out to its corporate partners to shoulder some of the logistical burden.

Meanwhile, in the depths of the most unrestricted space within the Federation, a clarion call sounds from the heart of the Caravan, the gargantuan mobile convoy and de facto headquarters of the GA Merchant Fleet. While publicly the Triumvirate Council preaches moderation and balance in all stances, even in times of war, through other channels word has come down from on high that High Command will be reestablishing their practice of offering "Writs of Marque", in an effort to supplement the already beleaguered resources of the Defense Fleet on the edges of Alliance space. Eager to comply and do their part for the war effort, as well as potentially make some credits, the Caravan sets a course for the First Order border as the region begins to fill with Alliance Corsairs.
