STRENGTHS

Exceptional Cutting Power - The combination of a monomolecular edge, mullinie edge treatment, and neutronium reinforcement allows the blade to produce devastating cuts with relatively little force. Armor gaps, exposed joints, and unprotected targets are particularly vulnerable.

Durable Construction - Constructed from Mandalorian Iron and reinforced through Durasteel Bonding, the Alii'gai is highly resistant to chipping, warping, and structural damage. It is capable of withstanding heavy combat conditions while remaining functional.

Hand Protection - A protected knuckle-bow hilt shields the wielder's hand from glancing strikes, impacts, and weapon slides, making it effective during close-quarters engagements and blade-to-blade combat.

WEAKNESSES

Reduced Leverage - The contoured grip favors comfort and precision over leverage. While easier to control, it limits the amount of force that can be transferred through a strike, making the Alii'gai less effective at delivering crushing or overpowering blows compared to heavier beskads.

Single-Edge Design - As a traditional single-edge saber, offensive options are more limited than those available to double-edged swords. Reverse-edge attacks and certain recovery techniques are less practical, and the weapon's effectiveness depends heavily on maintaining proper edge alignment.

Close-Range Specialization - With an 80-centimeter overall length and a 61-centimeter blade, the Alii'gar sacrifices reach compared to larger swords, polearms, and other dedicated battlefield weapons and is more practical in close-quarters combat settings such as the narrow corridors aboard starships and in buildings.

Limited Impact Trauma - Despite its excellent cutting ability, the Alii'gai is not optimized for concussive damage. Opponents wearing exceptionally resilient armor may resist injury better than they would against heavier, momentum-focused weapons.

The Alii'gai Beskad is a modern interpretation of the traditional Mandalorian Saber, blending the proven combat philosophy of the beskad with the combat practicality of a naval cutlass. Manufactured by Aether Arms Division for the exclusive use of the Mandalorian Empire, the Alii'gai features a single-edge blade, protective knuckle-bow hilt, and ergonomic contoured grip. The weapon is designed for aggressive close-quarters combat while maintaining exceptional control and maneuverability. Forged from Mandalorian Iron and strengthened through Durasteel Bonding, the Alii'gai possesses considerable durability and resilience against the wear of sustained battlefield use. Its cutting performance is further enhanced by the integration of a monomolecular edge reinforced with mullinine and neutronium, which grants the blade exceptional sharpness, edge retention, and structural integrity. These qualities allow the weapon to inflict severe wounds with precise strikes while remaining reliable under demanding conditions. To reduce maintenance demands, each Alii'gai is issued with a self-sharpening sheath that continuously hones the blade while holstered, ensuring the weapon remains combat-ready at all times. Though its ergonomic grip and compact dimensions limit leverage and raw striking power compared to larger beskads, the Alii'gai excels as a dependable and highly refined dueling weapon favored by Mandalorian Warriors who value precision, resilience, and versatility in equal measure.
