Name: Albiorix Mining Facility

Intent: To build upon the lore of Sargas and provide Rahvin Industries with further mining operations

Classification: Mining Facility

Location: Albiorix, Sargas' Moon

Affiliation: Rahvin Industries and the State of Sargas

Description: Albiorix Mining Facility is the only 'settlement' upon the barren moon of Albiorix. Indistinguishable from orbit from the rest of the rocky moon, much of the facility is built into recesses in the mountainous terrain. It consists of just a handful of small locations, the largest of which is a warehouse for storing the mined resources. Aside from generic minerals and ores of little consequence, Albiorix has a natural well of Ardanium reserves and as such the moon as well as the facility itself is on lock down to avoid tampering or theft. The mines themselves make up the majority of the Facility, often quaking the ground and causing sounds unkind to organics ears. The Facility is run like clockwork through the use of droids, specifically Rahvin Industry produced mining droids, limiting the amount of organics exposed to the harsh atmosphere and the lure of the minerals and ores.

There is also a submerged bunker which is ventilated through a refined air conditioning process to sustain the only two organics consistently on the moon, necessary given the type III atmosphere on the moon itself. This bunker includes living quarters, storage facilities and a droid repair shop. Alongside this there is also a room dedicated to CCTV streaming which can monitor the entire facility and thus limits the need for the organics to leave the bunker. In the case that they muse, breathing apparatus is necessary although the air is not toxic enough to require environmental suits. The bunker is environmentally sealed to ensure that the flow of air within is not disrupted by the unbreathable atmosphere outside.

Finally there is a hangar bay, deftly hidden away more so than the rest of the facility. Within this there is a shuttle which can house within it the two organics, one of which is a geologist capable of overseeing the mining procedure and the other a mechanic who specialises in droid construction and repair. This shuttle is only to be used in the case of an emergency, and will automatically pilot the pair down to Sargas. There are also a number of cargo vessels piloted by droids, used to move stock from the warehouse down to Sargas upon request, and space for another few shuttle sized starships to dock in the case of official and authorized visitors. Patrolling the entire facility are two score combat droids to ensure that no unwanted visitors arrive on planet. Their first reaction is to attempt to disarm and arrest the individuals, containing them in an empty section of the warehouse until Sargas officials arrive. If this fails, then the droids are permitted to use force, but will only subdue them according to Sargas' laws.

History: A relatively new creation, initially the set up consisted purely of a minor mining facility which was crudely run and made purely for research. Upon finding a decent reserve of standard and generic ores the facility began to grow to include the warehouse, yet it was the Ardanium reserves which really changed things up. Having ordered the initial exploration group back to Sargas, the C.E.O of Rahvin Industries proceeded to send a larger group with just two organics up to enhance the mining operation, constructing first the bunker to house the organics and spreading out across one half of a hemisphere of the moon. The structured areas were all placed closely together, yet the droids which were used for mining ventured considerably far to keep testing for further reserves.

Finally it was decided that the moon was to be placed upon lockdown. Passage to and from was restricted, and permissions had to go through the C.E.O herself in order to gain access to the hangar bay. Security measures were put into place with the addition of holo-CCTV which spread across the entire facility to monitor not only the droids and production rates but also for any unwanted visitors. The addition of combat droids was merely a final precaution.
