Description: The Akuze-class was developed for one thing and one thing only. To quickly and cheaply strip through asteroids, collecting whatever mineral ore is present. Invictus Aeronautics understood the need for a dedicated mining vessel in their fleet, and created the 98 metre vessel in order to supply commercial interests throughout the Unknown Regions. A functional vessel, the Akuze uses two plasma-jet drilling devices to bore through asteroids while six tractor/presser beams hold them in place. The two plasma torches cut through what the plasma-jets leave behind, leaving no mineral ore un-scavanged. All in all, the Akuze is a solid, unremarkable ship, able to get the job done without reliabilty issues.
