Aint no terrapin on Sarapin [OS Dominion of Sarapin]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxkUK3SQlWI

The Right Hand crawled steadily from the clenching grip of the hyperdrive systems. The speedy cresting of stars upon the view screen, pretty lights in the rear view, transformed into the fixed imagery forming the backdrop of the red planet. Even from this far away, still safe from the pull of the orbit, the Hand of the Dark Lord could see the deflection of magma across the surface. Volcanoes and the residual and ever constant flowing of lava cut deep gashes in the surface of the planet, jumping geysers and bridges of molten were something to behold. A fortress world, if he had every seen one, this planet had once served as the primary energy giant for the core worldd, calculated to serve nearly 80% of the needs in the galactic region. That was good, he thought, the war machine needed fuel as much as anything else.

"Steady us here, Helmsman, and hail the Conquerors Ring. Inform them to enter orbit and begin dropping in safe distance."

The Helmsman nodded and began to signal the sister ship. Simultaneously, Gabriel approached the communications. For those above the Immortal and for those dropping from hyperspace, they would hear the full bodied and oddly well articulated words across the airwaves.

::One Sith Forces, this is primarily a non combative resolution towards the economy of the planet - a valuable resource for our energy needs as we expand through the universe. Energy collectors on the planet lay dormant, as do their counterpart repositories. I want them up and running. Scavenge and collect as you see fit, but get me those repositories and get them to me fully functional...please:: He smiled as he spoke the last word, as if he was really asking. The illusion served it's purpose, as he handed the communications over to the Helmsman, one he would now deem Stud, since he was such a looked. And his name was actually Studdley Durant...mean parents right there.

Gabriel cracked his neck and did that walk of shame once more, seeing whom he would collect as passenger, before descending towards the planet.

Objectives:

1. Reestablish geothermal base stations across the planet to assist in harnessing of volcanic energy.
- Reestablish the energy collectors that have long been unused
- Assess the damage at the Energy Collection Repository: Check on collection, monitoring, and energy transport equipment. Get stuff back up and working.
2. Capture as many vapaad as possible. We will use them for testing and experimentation and maybe, vongshaping?
3. Explore the Jedi ruins, wiping out all traces of Jedi antiquity that can be found. Remember, Vapaad in them parts. You can also scavenge if you so desire.

Alongside the Right Hand the massive Harbinger-class Star Destroyer, the Apotheosis, lumbered sluggishly out of the maelstrom of hyperspace followed by a myriad of support vessels and other Sith ships as they began to encircle the planet. The vessel did not resemble any sort of ship ever seen in the modern age, as it was the only one of it's kind, and it's design was abstractly foreign to anything seen before it. It was design by the engineers of the Mon Calamari Shipyards during the height of the Old Sith Empire that ruled the Tion Cluster and surrounding sectors with an iron fist, commissioned by the Sith Lord Kaine to serve as his flagship and mobile base of operations besides his palace on Thule. Common among Mon Calamari designs, it resembled something you'd find lurking within' the ocean, and the engineers put blatant symbolism behind it's construction.

It resembled the puncturing claw of one of Dac's crab species, which could tear through the tough armor-like shell of other crustaceans to get at the delicious meat within'. Thus, the ship was designed for a purely offensive role, and was bristling with several hundred weapon systems, yet zero hanger capabilities other than personal vessels. It would crush the shell of enemy ship formations, giving it access to the delicious bounty hidden within, and thus was infamous for it's ability to ravage enemy ships with concentrated barrages. However; in the last few years it had been woefully inactive, but Kaine recently brought it back into service as his personal flagship within the One Sith's Imperial Navy. It would make it's non-combat debut here and now, and as the ship trudged into formation above the planet the Sith Lord within it's command center impatiently rapped his fingers against the metal arm of his throne.

Suddenly, the articulated words of [member="Reverance"] would float across the ship:

"One Sith Forces, this is primarily a non combative resolution towards the economy of the planet - a valuable resource for our energy needs as we expand through the universe. Energy collectors on the planet lay dormant, as do their counterpart repositories. I want them up and running. Scavenge and collect as you see fit, but get me those repositories and get them to me fully functional... please."

Vornskr could agree with the Hand's words, as most likely they would hardly encounter any real resistance down the surface of the volcanic world. He turned to Commander Hakam, and commanded in a bold and baritone rumble: "Hakam, prepare my shuttle for departure, and summon the Gorebound to the hanger deck. I will meet them shortly." The Blackblade Commander saluted, bowed, and then quickly walked away to enact his Lord's bidding all the while the Sith Lord glared at the holoprojection of the planet, Sarapin, and hungered.

Khan Ra

Monster Cat Redefined
Location: Landing near the Jedi ruins
Objective: Destroy (or loot) anything remotely Jedi-like
Allies: Dunno yet
Forces: One very burly flamethrower-toting Transdoshan trooper named Bob

A volcanic world, known for its power output. A world actually useful to the One Sith. Good. Plus one known for it's native creature, the Vapaad. He'd heard of them briefly while researching lightsaber forms- incredibly quick predators. Another good reasont o be here. However he was not planning on assiting in repairing generators or capturing beasts- he was more interested in the Jedi ruins... Many things can be found in ruins. Perhaps many useful things. Things to increase his power, even. That's where his mind was set.

Khan watched out the viewport as the small landing pod he'd left the capital ship in floated closer to the half-obscure ruins in the distance. He would have to be quick, secure anything worth securing before others came. Other Sith. Or worse; [member="Darth Venefica"]. Get in, take anything worth taking, and have the one trooper under his command burn everything else. As long as there was no delays, all would go well...

Location: Arriving in Sarapin orbit
Objective: Re-establish the energy production sites across the planet

Taeli smiled to herself as the first ship dropped out of hyperspace, bearing the logo of Krayt Industries. The fact the Sith were doing a non-combat mission here on Sarapin was actually rather refreshing and Taeli would certainly lend her company's support in getting more energy up and running for the Core Worlds. Hearts and minds after all.

A small convoy of Krayt ships began to drop out of hyperspace around her, loaded with building materials and technical equipment, and the technicians to oversee that equipment. Nodding as a way to show her approval, the crew of the ships gave the green light for the Krayt engineers and workers to deploy to the volcanic world's surface to begin the rehabilitation of the energy center of the Core.

The masked Acolyte sat on the drop-ship, waiting for their landing, sitting amongst the troopers he had been assigned. He could sense the discomfort and fear that his presence caused the two new privates. They were not used to the malevolent presence of a Sith as the veterans were. In particular, the sargent seemed almost asleep. He wouldn't rest so soundly knowing what would happen to him if he got in Amaethon's way today.

Indeed, his purpose for coming was simple: find Jedi artifacts. He would destroy nothing that could benefit himself, regardless. It was not certain what he would find, if anything.

Capture vapaads, that's what she was told to do. Slimy things with a bunch of tentacles. This was some sort of new torture that the Sith had devised for her. she was on this dust ball of a planet gathering up these creatures for some experiment or another, she hadn't even been told what they were needed for, just that she needed to catch them. She had already killed half a dozen of them, the slimy creatures and their tentacles, lashing out at her. It was stupid that she should be sent to do this. This was the kind of job for slave labor, or punishment for troopers, not for her. She was a Sith acolyte, even if it wasn't her first career choice. Maybe this was another stupid test, it seemed that the Sith had almost as many of those as the Jedi had. She lashed out with her lightsaber, killing another of the disgusting creatures out of spite. Her lust for battle had been growing recently, ever since she started dealing with the Sith... The darkside was ever present with her these days. She should be worried about it, but there didn't seem to be any other way, it was a fact of life in now, accept it or die. The Sith had no room for weakness.

Melori was still something of a loner. If not with her sister, she tended to operate independently. In truth she didn’t yet know who to trust and wouldn’t simply follow anyone blindly. Yes, her sister was willing to advise her, but she wanted to find out for herself. She didn’t make all that effort to escape the shadow of one sister to immediately lurch under the umbra of another.

Her knowledge of the planet was minimal but accurate. Sarapin was a volcanic world in the Sarapin system, between Neimoidia and the Treskov system. It had ashy soil and streams of lava flowing across its surface. To condense that into useful information - it was hot and dusty - period.

But of all of the tasks she could have been assigned, this was the most wonderful. To destroy Jedi things. Her time at the Corellian Academy gave her a head-start. They wouldn’t be able to use the Force to identify what was most useful or valuable - a lot would have to be done by sight alone - and if there was someone who knew therefore what to look for, it was Melori.

She was aware that at least one other had the same objective but she’d not engaged them whilst on the ship and now - as she stared out of the window as she headed towards the surface in one of the landing pods, she wondered if their paths would cross later?

Looking back to her datapad, she reviewed what she knew about the vaapad. Her starting point was nothing, so she checked out the information she’d been given. They were also known as juyo - which was pointless information - and were native to the planet. Again, not exactly helpful.

Vaapads were brown ball-shaped, multi-tentacled creatures with two yellow eyes and multiple tentacles used to kill prey. A vaapad attacked by striking its prey with its tentacles so quickly that they were nothing but a blur to the naked eye. So it was quick - that was helpful to know - and that was the end of the helpful data. So her plan was simple. Keep away from them and if she saw one - she’d shoot it. It was a simple plan - but she expected it would serve her well.

The Hand's walk of shame would find her chilling in the dropship, a familiar figure dressed from head to toe in plate armor. Why did she always arrive by Reverance's ship? A mystery, truly. Well, okay, not so much. It was simply a fact that the man was usually the first one on the scene, and Vrag liked being punctual to her appointments, indiscriminate of what they entailed. Be it murder, destruction, or — gasp! — something non-violent, the Knight was all about nipping it in the bud.

It felt only natural, then, to hitch a ride on the Right Hand, and drop on whatever planet they were occupying this time as early as possible. With her goal on Sarapin in mind, the woman had brought along an array of the tools she would presumably need, as well as hand-picked military personnel with some sort of hunting background. Trackers, rangers, serial killers… people from all walks of life; and then hear the Republic claim that the Sith weren't inclusive. Ha! Baseless lies and propaganda of the ever-more desperate Jedi, no doubt.

They'd also brought cages, stun nets, batons, pikes ; whatever they thought would help them incapacitate and capture the famously dangerous Vapaad. One of the most wicked and unpredictable Forms was named after the creature, for frak's sake, and whatever Vrag thought of the style itself, she could definitely respect the beast. Before setting off to Sarapin, the firrerreo had watched and read most of the material on the monsters available, and found it lacking. She would have to remind their scientists to take notes after they began experimenting on the Vapaad, so that the archives on Prakith might become more informative on the topic.

The woman gave a small nod to [member="Reverance"] as their gazes met, giving the imposing man a quick once over. "Please?" she asked with a lopsided grin, lifting an eyebrow in mock askance.

Objective: Explore Jedi Ruins

Standing on one of the warships, the name unknown to her, with a a small device in her hands she read the objectives for the new mission. Her black coloured eyes scanned through the text quickly picking up only the key pointes of the objectives. Hunting vaapad seemed interesting enough but so did the Jedi ruins. Her right index finger began tapping on her lower lip as she weighed her options. "Any suggestions," she asked the voices knowing she was opening a vault filled with debate and arguments, but she was at a crossroads in her decision. To her surprise, only one voice answered.

"The Jedi ruins seems to be the obvious choice, keeper. There will be much to be discovered in that path," the voice of the Cathar Sith Lord answered. She agreed with Darth Portia's assessment of the Jedi ruins but waited a few fleeting minutes to see if one of the others would debate what the Cathar had said. When none came, it was decided she would scour the ruins for any Force related artifacts and wipe away any Jedi antiquity in the process.

"Docking bay, this is Darth Venefica...ready us a shuttle for departure to Sarapin's surface at once."

Objective: Explore the ruins
Location: Ruins of the Jedi Temple, Sarapin

At a gesture, the Sith Troopers rushed down the ramp of the landing and fanned out with rifles ready. Amaethon followed a moment later, boots crunching on the surface. The heat enveloped him right away like a deadly embrace. Amaethon ignored it, reaching through the Force to seek any threat.

He sought the vapaad, and much more dangerous, the other Sith. The Acolyte would be first inside the ruins and first to claim any knowledge therein. With that, he began the trek of about a kilometer towards the ruins, setting a hard pace. If the soldiers dropped dead, that was their problem.

Jedi knowledge was still knowledge, and knowledge was power.

Jedi. Surprisingly, the red man knew little about the Jedi and their ways. The Sith, he knew. Templars, he knew. Anything in between, he knew. But the Jedi, well. He knew their code, and their basis of life. But he did not know them. And so, within the Jedi temple, he went to learn. To understand them better. You cannot fight a foe you do not know, and here he would change all of that.

Then destroy what ever he had found.

In one of the smaller rooms he crouched, scanning the dusty area for anything of significance. At first, nothing. It had been picked clean so very long ago. But on closer inspection part of the floor was loose. A light lift of the force, and he would find within it a small datacron. Simple in design, he would quickly open and activate it, finding a hologram instead. A hologram of what seemed to be a Jedi master and a group of students. A pleasant smile formed over the Darth's face as he sat down, ready to simply watch and learn his foes.

Objective: Capture the Vapaad - Objective Two
Location: Above Serapin aboard The Thorn, landing to the surface aboard Zambrano's Chariot
Allies: None/[member="Vrag"]?

Once more the diseased, vile, Hutt had appeared above another world to drive the campaigns of the One Sith across the stars. By all accounts, Zambrano had made a meek contribution to the domination of these world, large in part by his current cranial pain. Since the Netherworld had opened up and disrupted the nature of the force, overwhelming pain had begun to accompany the sociopath in regards to the force. The only treatment he had found of his own accord, was piloting his Vong ship via the cognition hood, which expanded his natural experience beyond the confines of his aching mind. He had some exposure to the galaxy at large without the therapy, but it had always ended with violence. This inherently was not a bad thing of course, but it made it difficult when one was attempting to assemble a biological armada of ships for one's personal amusement.... people often shied away from excessive violence the likes of which the Hutt was readily capable of willing to demonstrate to the nearest breathing body.

The target this day however, was not any force of humans, but of lightning fast creatures. So fast in fact, they had been honored by the Jedi through the lightsaber form they modeled after them. The slug was not fast, so this presented to be a great challenge for him... although in truth, it was merely the only task he could reasonably complete in his current state, given that there was no resistance in space, he had no means of bringing power to machines, and Jedi or things having to do with them did not terribly interest him like most other Sith. The articles of the past often pained his soul for reasons he could not explain, because he could not actively remember being a Jedi... but a soul always remembers within its deepest identities. Surely, had he gone to destroy the artifacts, it would only have worsened his condition, and then he would become utterly useless to the One Sith lacking any coherent control over his very limited ability with nothing else left to provide.

Groaning loudly as he exited his Sailbarge, the Hutt sat upon his hovering Throne for increased mobility, and today held within his hand (in addition to his Paralytic Whip), a metal electrified Pike to keep them from getting too close within his whip range... not unlike the forces of a very punctual Sith Knight on a similar objective...

Khan Ra stepped down the ramp of his small landing pod, looking up to the ruined enclave. He sensed someone was already inside... Another Sith. Could it be Venefica? No, he would know if she was nearby. Someone else then? The Felactian looked at the sky, noticing another landing vessel coming nearer to the temple. Others were coming. He had no time to waste. Khan abruptly turned back to the temple, and started inside. The heat was just an annoyance here, nowhere near the pools of lava elsewhere on the planet. Only notable enough for passing thought as the Feleactian stepped into the temple's wide gates.

Small broken statues littered the sides of the enterance hall, perhaps of former Jedi masters- though the stone was too crumbled to tell. Nothing worth scavenging there. He made a mental note to remember to plant explosives on his way out. He was not sure in what condition the Jedi left the enclave.. If they were forced out, there may be plenty left to scavenge. If they simply moved, hoever, there would be much less. He was hoping for the former. Where to start his search? Khan glances down one of the shadowy halls that branched off the main one, frowning into the darkness. A good of a place to start as any.

His crimson gaze met the blue, nictitating eyes of the Firrerreo, assuming that her visor wasn't on just yet. Maybe it was, Vrag was weird like that. As the Hand approached the dropship, he returned the joking gesture with a smile as he slowly ascended the ramp. "Cordiality serves a purpose, from time to time...you might give it a go sometime." He poked back, in a decent mood for now, especially on the prospect of such economical gain from the planet. Many people enjoyed the notions of controlling planets that served some sort of symbol: Was the former location of this faction, used to be controlled by that faction, used to house the jedi. Well, Gabriel wasn't concerned with any of that - he was more concerned with the utility of things. So as he entered the dropship, presumably with [member="Vrag"] nearby, Gabriel approached the pilot and placed a hand on the shoulder. "Get me to one of the repositories...afterwards...well, I don't really care where you go after that."

He came back out into the belly of the dropship as the ramp closed and the ship took off. Studying the room, he crossed his arms before jerking to the side from the change of the inertia, and gripping the overhead bar with his right hand. Once more, he opted to go unencumbered by the war-torn armor. "Vrag...you've collected a number of toys. But...where is the whip?" He smiled as he wayward glance followed the red planet upon their descent into orbit. Fire spit up across the front of the ship, friction of air particles against the metal, as the vehicle shook in turbulence.

Amaethon frowned beneath his mask, seeing Khan Ra already examining the entrance hall. He had left the accompanying squad outside, nominally as guards. Walking past the other Acolyte, he randomly chose the left most hallway and walked into the darkness. Reaching into his robes, Amaethon withdrew a glow stick and cracked it, bathing the hall in neon.

What he was looking for was the library and the vaults within. As he walked, he peered into empty rooms, some furnished and some not. Nothing. Meditation chambers, offices, classrooms. The next room he looked into was somewhat larger, evidently a training room by the evidence of training remotes, covered in a layar of dust and ash.

Walking into the room, he noticed the cylindrical shape of a lightsaber handle near a remote. He reached out a hand and the shape rose, dust and ash spilling off as it floated into his right hand. Evidently a training lightsaber, he though, turned it over in his hand. He pressed the red ignition button and the blue blade hummed to life. He confirmed that it was what he supposed when his slash against the wall merely bounced off.

The blade hissed off and he hooked it opposite his curved-hilt lightsaber. Perhaps it might prove useful at some point. Exiting the room, he continued down the hallway.

Quivering eyes glanced nervously between the numerous men and women gathered inside the claustrophobic compartment of their shared ship as they slowly descended down upon the volcanic planets surface, soft whimpers slipping through the trembling lips of a young and fidgeting woman as she felt herself trapped as if in a hounds den. Remorseless killers and scrupulousness hunters surrounded the shivering girl on all sides as they talked, jeered, and whispered amidst one another, their mere overbearing presence making the auburn-haired woman grow meek in their presence. Delicate fingers wrapped themselves firmly across the cold metal bar a few inches above her head, squeezing it every so often as if to steel her nerves as her free hand desperately clutched the sleeve of her dress. Those guttural groans and hearty laughs coming from the nondescript mercenaries around her made her quickly turn her head towards the origin of the sound, hastily inching herself towards the opposite direction only to bump her shoulders against an equally frightening and despicable outlaw. She hastily uttered one incoherent apology after another in a whisper like tone of voice as she tried to distance herself as far as possible from her associates, low yelps of shock and surprise rolling through her throat whenever they would respond to her words or approach her ever so slightly as if to properly hear what she had to say.

"Sir . . . Sir Reverance!" Were the first audible words she uttered through this entire descent through quivering lips and an unsteady voice, leaning her upper body forward to at least partially establish eye contact with the man she was ordered to follow and assist on the mission. "How much longer Sir? Until . . . we touch the ground that is?" Trembling voice grew quiet and quieter with each passing syllable as she spoke through crimson cheeks and flared ears, her sudden burst of confidence dissipating just as quickly as it came as she locked eyes with a nearby burly individual armed to the teeth with what seemed like nets, tranquilizers, and miscellaneous supplies. Soft, click-like sounds ringed through her ears as she paused mid-sentence to mull over her words, carefully attempting to not let loose an unneeded insult or slight towards either the Sith himself or towards one of the numerous "associates" they found in their company.

Objective: Jedi Ruins
The ancient structure standing before her had seen better days. The building, now imbued with volcanic ash, gave it a darkened hue and a foreboding look that would make even the bravest salvager question if the place was haunted. If that wasn't enough to deter someone from wanting to plunder the enclave, the flowing lava that moved about like small streams added to the desolate scene. And then there were the vaapad, nasty little creatures that fed off the energy of their prey. All in all, it was a great place to build a Jedi enclave.

As she entered the complex, the first thing she noticed was the footprints in the ash. She was not the first to arrive but that didn't bother her. She was learning, as difficult it was at times, to be more and more patient. The days of leading with a headstrong charge into danger was slowly dissipating from within her. She was maturing. If there was something to be gained by being here, it would find her. If there was nothing for her here, then so be it. She no longer cared to make a reputation for herself, though she already had one that involved her mental instability. She also no longer cared to seek out artifacts and objects of great importance. Toys and trinkets were for kids.

Khan peeked into every room as he passed through the hallways, looking for anything worth taking interest in. Training rooms, a janitorial closet, a small medbay. Nothing worth seeing. The Felactian gestured to the trooper with him after passing each room, who in turn tossed a powerful thermal detonator, without activating it, into whichever room Khan decided wasn't worth searching. They'd activate the explosives as they left, as ont to weaken the structure while they were sitll inside. It also saved time by not having to plant the explosives later... Speed was key here. He had seen another Sith in the main hallway, which meant there were other Sith here already. If he wasn't quick, everything would be looted before he had a chance...

"It does?" she wondered aloud, her blue eyes wide with mock shock. "My life is a lie," she mouthed just loud enough to still be hear by the Stih Lord as they made their way into the dropship. After having walked that same path so many times already, the woman knew it almost by heart, and could probably find that damn hangar even after some generous chugging of Juma juice.

I have to try that sometime, actually.

"Just drop me off where the Zambrano's Chariot landed," she called out to the pilot after [member="Reverance"] had given his directions. Almost like a taxi.

"Feth, you're right!" the Knight glanced down at her belt, making a grab for the weapon that wasn't there. "Huh. Where could it be…" the woman muttered to herself, knitting her eyebrows as she did her best to recall when she'd last used the whip. After their little pirate adventure on Redoubt, there was…oh. Of course. "Must have left it at [member="Darell Irani"]'s," she concluded with a half-hearted shrug, her mouth threatening to curl into a sly smile.

It was one of the rockier rides in the past week, but in the end they arrived safe and sound. She gave him a parting nod when the Hand left, and then the dropship was off to rendezvous with the other Vapaad hunter. They landed not long after, the ramp lowering to reveal a fiery, inhospitable expanse. "Homey," the firrerreo remarked as she led her contingent of specialists out of the ship, her blue eyes searching the crowd for the other Sith.

"Ah, another Zambrano," she chuckled as she approached the slug, taking in his hovering form. How much help he would be on that chair was another matter entirely, but his troops were a welcome sight regardless.

"Shall we?" A rhetorical question, really, but a wise man once told her that even cordiality serves a purpose.

The bulbous golden, feline, bloodshot eyes of the gargantuan mass of lard turned to the mention of his name, to witness the vastly more professional looking force beneath the undoubtedly iron command of the Sith Knight, Vrag. One couldn't be entirely sure why Vrag would welcome the sight of motley Gamorreans and a shrunken entourage of malnourished, harshly tortured, barely living slaves piled up within the corpses that littered the Throne he sat upon. Hovering a foot of the ground, he easily turned to greet the obviously superior hunter... except he wasn't really the one to greet in the normal manner. His hand eagerly gripped his deadly whip, coiled up in his hands, whilst his other hand toyed and fiddle with the unfamiliar pike he was to use. When he looked upon Vrag, he was basically considering whether or not he wanted to see her flesh opened up now or later... eventually he would settle on later, and instead settle for a still breathing body upon his throne, impaling the figure with the business end of the pike clumsily, yet it had the desired effect: the body shook and flailed in stifled screams as the metal poll electrocuted its target. He was pleased by the sounds as he responded...

"Begin, frieeend..." He didn't have much else to say, yet he didn't wait around to see what Vrag would do or say to him. He ordered the Gamorreans to start sniffing for their prey, and had a few poke several slaves to the front to act as bait. Some of them were even set free so as to attract the local wild life's attention within the volcanic environment. Even if Vrag had nothing on her mind about how to proceed, it was a surity that it was 150% less convoluted to the twisted mind of the Hutt.

The hunt began.
