OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

SETTING INFORMATION

 • Structure Name: Aina' a'mael

 • Classification: Ancient Holy City / Temples

 • Location: Kaeshana

 • Affiliation: First Orderhttp://starwarsrp.net/groups/512-the-first-order/ [Planet] | Eldorai [People] |

 • Demographics: Eldorai 100% (Inside the City)

 • Wealth: Low - the A'Mael has just been revitalized and thus has a low economy, fairly basic barter/trade system.

 • Stability: Moderate - While the Eldorai are united, there are still some troubles with regards to direction and the understanding of events. And of course, crime which they usually resolve themselves.

 • Accessibility: Aina' a'mael had been long since buried beneath the surface, lost to even her own people until the Rebellion, as the Imperials would say. Massive artillery strikes, a downed Star Destroyer shook the Arda, the Earth beneath their feet and revealed the A’Mael. One can now access her through speeder from the surface down, and back up as the city is dug out from the Arda.

 • Security: There are more natural protections for the A’Mael, having been sealed shut by the Arda creatures of all kinds have now made it their home. Illyria’s doing say the Eldorai, a way to taint and corrupt Ashira’s most holy city in a time when neither the Eldorai nor the Galaxy knew of each other. For now, light guards at the top make due, but it is not heavy on the list of patrols for the First Order.

 • Description: When you look down from the surface you see what looks to be a labyrinth and whether this was intentional or not. You can’t help but admire the beauty, and brilliance that it is. The city is flanked by several isolated islands like structures, and a small river cuts through on one end - but it runs faster than one could swim. A wooden bridge has been erected between it and the cavern floor that you can’t make out from up top but you can the closer you get to the main landing zone.

POINTS OF INTEREST
 • Ashira: A statue of the Great Mother is perhaps the most notable feature in the city, she stands as the tallest structure and now holds an everlasting flame. Many believe that it was in her honor that the city was built and that she stands over them all giving her light to those who need a path. Others believe that there is something more to this statue but what they cannot say.
 • Temple of Ashira: An open-air temple sits at the foot of the statue with a large U-shaped structure. The High Priestess emerges and brings her sermons to the masses, calls to prayers are made daily from here now. As once more the Eldorai return to reclaim their ancient knowledge and worshipping the Beloved Mother asking her for guidance.
 • Landing Zone: In the center of the city is a speeder and shuttle landing zone, the key point in and out of the city.
 • Akroma: Isolated alone on a smaller pad where personal speeders can park. The Akroma is a group of martial monks who have devoted themselves to the teachings of the Great Mother and learning how to use the gift she has given them. Here they work to restore what looked to have either been a combat arena or even another temple... Back to its former glory.
 • Liorre's Market: Off to the left a market comes to life as every day more and more Eldorai from the surface leave their livelihoods and come beneath the Arda and bring with them much-needed talents and crafts. The Market is how the Eldorai survive here while they work on restoring the city. The Eldorai have erected shrines to Liorre their Goddess of craft and trade and it is with her blessing they hope to succeed.
 • Valora's Path: A cavern full of crystals, they glow an odd green and some suspect this is from the radiation that the planet suffered during the cataclysmic event that forced much of the Eldorai to leave. What these crystals do exactly, a lot do not know, some have been taken and at least a bagful of them by the young Edan girl, Mishel. The crystals feel cold and some say are even colder when you hold them in their hand.
 • The Garden of Illyria: Beyond the city and through Valora's path some call the Garden of Illyria where her worshippers made a garden of death and buried their own leaders. Many strange and unholy things have occurred here and the Gardens have been sealed off by the excavators. Dark energy is terribly strong there, making some wonder if Valora's path is truly Valora or if Illyria has infected the cavern...
 • Ardarvia's Light: Far along the edges of the great cavern statues that look like people, long since eroded hold lights - lights that give a feeling of hope and purpose. Here the excavators feel that a source of positive energy is not too far but where they cannot say it looked as if the statues were meant to go around the entire city but time has not been kind to them, and neither had the conflicts and cataclysmic events.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Long ago before the ruin of Kaeshana, long before her people fled on the backs of the Edans, the non-Eldorai. They worshipped the Great Mother Ashira in such beauty that even Santaissa would have bowed to such devotion. Known now only as Aina’ a’mael or simply the A’mael, Holy Beloved or the Beloved as much as a basic translation could be provided.

Many now, even within the First Order’s Historical Recovery Division wonder just how long the city has been here. However long it’s been here the local population have gathered fiercely to protect it from the Imperials, and other Edans. Proclaiming that they would only allow other Eldorai into the Holy City - which has led to a resurgence in Anti-Edan/Imperial sentiment. Naturally distrusting of other races, the A’Mael is being dug out so that the Eldorai may use it - convert it to their using.

Thus far the Eldorai believe this city to have been built by some of the first of their kind. It rests in a the center of what had to have been a plateau at some point. Natural cuts between it and the rest of the cave give it a natural set of defences with the exception of one noted entrance, and entrance that is believed to have connected the Eldorai with others of Kaeshana, whether that is other species or simply other members of their kind, for now, it is simply known as the Dark Road Gate, as it leads into the Dark Roads or the Undiscovered Path that have yet to be dug out.

The A’Mael would not have been discovered had it not been for the Casus Belli.

Arda shattering events, the crashing of a Star Destroyer into the mountains - the cut of Artillery scarring the Arda further. And the use of the force, all pushed and pulled the landscape as troops both Edan and Eldorai swarmed the surface the Arda shook and ruptured and opened up to reveal the A’Mael. And among the Eldorai they have taken this as a symbol, a symbol that their Beloved Mother Ashira must mean for them to unite, to come together as one.

It was discovered, oddly enough by a strange Edan, a girl named Mishel who felt something powerful from the A’Mael. She sought only unique crystals for her weapon, a blade of light and it was here she fell. She fell and used the force to steady herself, and soften the landing and when she landed...

Blessed Ashira...”

By the day’s end, a small team of Eldorai had joined her, one of them alerted the Priestesses, who then decided that such an event. Such an event could not be kept to themselves and so they shared the information with the Church of Ashira on Tygara and have since been waiting for an answer.

The young Edan found whatever it was she sought on Kaeshana and said she would return once the Tygarans had come to see the city for itself.

THE RESTORATION

Ever since the young Edan girl found this holy place, the Eldorai have worked to restore it. Slowly but surely just like Fallan’Au the A’Mael is being restored to a former glory. Bridges that were once broken are now whole again, and the river that rushes through one side now brings life and water to Her glory. Crystals light up on one end while the trees and the brush grow in Her light, the massive statue of Ashira in the center now holds the everlasting flame, a symbol of Hope for the people.

THE CATACLYSM

When Kaeshana was meant to be destroyed into nothingness, researchers wondered what kept this old city intact? Eldorai believe Ashira has kept it from being ravaged, but - there are signs of decay and erosion. Still, perhaps it was where the city was built and the might of the land above of it that kept it all from being torn. They're still looking for signs of the Cataclysm here in the A'Mael but so far there are more questions than there are answers.

My apologies for the wait.

Two things- first, can you hyperlink to the artstation page itself rather than the direct image in your image credit? Second, what's your rationale for using the structure template for this city? Wouldn't it make more sense to use the city template?

This is a pretty meaty sub, but I am aware the contest is closing on the 19th, so I will work through it quickly.

You know, I started it out as just a 'statue' but I felt like it was a waste of the picture? I think I completely forgot to change/update the template as soon as I started writing more of it out but originally it was supposed to be this secret/underground city but it didn't stay that way... so I did update with I think the stuff I was missing from the other template, wealth/stability/demographics. Also, updated the link.
