Ain’t No Party Like a Red Ravens Party (Open, No Fighting)

Taking another swig from the whiskey bottle, the alcohol rushing through his system, Cryax raised his eyebrow at Yuuta's sassy attitude. The assassin was feisty, and quite frankly seemed apt to become unhinged at a moment's notice, but the Chiss was still impressed at how quickly she'd nabbed Glyph. The crazy ones were always the overachievers. "I owe you, eh, Yuuta?" he said with a playful chuckle. "And what could I possibly owe you?" He raised his eyebrow at her in a challenging expression. If she were hellbent on disrespecting him, he would show her why that was a bad karking idea.

Under the table, Cryax lay his hand on his boyfriend's thigh and sat back in the booth, finally starting to relax, the alcohol numbing his overactive synapses. Letting his eyes wander around the room, he noticed Aleksandyr flirting with Keira and felt a flash of irrational jealousy. He was happily taken of course, but the enigmatic businessman was an intriguing piece of trouble on two legs. He shook the thoughts from his head as Jalek could probably sense them with that Force gobbledygook that he did. To stiffen his resolve, he grabbed his boyfriend's face and tilted his head in for a drunken kiss right at the table in the view of the entire party as well as several Holo news paparazzi.

Hearing his question Yuuta drifted her look over to [member="Cryax Bane"] and smirked "I can think of a few things." After that she looked away, slumping herself in her seat while kicking back with as many drinks as she could until passing out. That would take time but for now she just needed to let off some steam. Unfortunalty she couldn't do it in her usual fashion, so it came down to this. Guzzling down one drink after another while Cryax and his boy-toy kissed in front of everyone. Yuuta rolled her eyes and turned herself away completely from them. That was the last thing she wanted to be reminded of today.

Such casual conversation was unusual enough for Keira to give her pause before she responded to his statements. It had been ages, or so it felt, since she'd had the chance to just sit and talk with someone without either being interrupted or there being some kind of sinister motive behind things. This was a change, but a welcome one. There was one thing that she supposed would be advisable to tell him before things progressed too far, if just to prevent from disheartening him later. But she couldn't say what it would do for their current conversation, especially considering the direction it was going. "I think I might have a bit more on my mind than a drink and nice company can solve, meaning no offense." To get her to elaborate on such would be a task, however. And besides, she still wasn't sure how to word things exactly.

So she decided to more or less just come out with it. That was more her style anyhow. "There's something I'd better tell you, I think, before we get any further." It wasn't that she didn't enjoy his company, because she did, but one thing she wasn't a fan of was leading people on with things, even if it was only situational. "I'm not particularly into guys. And it isn't you, don't worry." That was something she wanted to clear up as well, in case he was one to assume that people would make things up just to avoid his company. Truth be told, she was a bit more awkward about things than she would have liked, but that couldn't be helped. It was a side of herself that never really came up in conversation, and she was more than content to keep it that way.

The party was still going strong but for the most part Aleksandyr had been able to ignore everything else that existed outside if his conversation with Keira. He listened carefully and put thought into her words, he didn't understand what she meant at first but then it clicked like when you remember that one word you couldn't think of and were trying to say. His face clearly shown that he made a realization out of it and leaned closer so that he could speak in a more intimate and private voice. "What if I brought another girl with us?", he suggested in a quieter voice but not exactly a whisper. He had a few in mind now due to his scanning from earlier. Though he wouldn't ask any of them unless he knew his companion would be comfortable with it. Perhaps his question was too bold but that's exactly how he rolled.

If his flirting ended up innocent and going nowhere, he wouldn't just abandon her either: Which might come as a surprise to some. Although there was always [member="Cryax Bane"] and his boyfriend. He neared asking the two of them to join him for similar activities until someone died. His modified eyes and face augmentations -- clearly a sign of some former injury -- perked with his emotions like an added touch to give him an edge he did not previously had or perhaps was incapable of for whatever reasons.

Davik Tren

The Friendly Fiend
Davik brought the small glass of fire water to his lips once again and threw it back. Jeeze... Been a while since i've felt bite like that... He had just landed not two hours before and it seemed as though things had already kicked off. The young spacer tapped the bar in front of him and awaited his next drink whilst looking at the crowd. He knew what the party was about. He also knew it was all thanks to the Red Ravens...

For the little that the spacer did know about the organisation, they seemed okay by him. Though this of course was not setting the standards very high, they sure knew how to put on a good show. From what he had last heard, they had been dishing it out with the Black Suns which is nasty business in itself. He decided to see what the night would bring, perhaps he would learn more about this respectable corner of the galaxy.

Nei Laa

Grumpy cat? No no no -- grumpy squid!
[member="Nomad Crimson"]

Nei did the Nautolan equivalent of an eye roll. "Yeah, and I be the Queen of the Sith. Kid, drinking before you're mature be bad, kill you faster." Shaking her head, she was about to continue when Nomad asked who the other Nautolan was.

Looking around, she finally caught sight of who she thought he was talking about. "Her?" She asked, pointing at [Member="Arkia Zinn"]. "The red one? Don't know." An idea began to form in her mind, and a smirk showed up on her face. Grabbing Nomad's shoulder, she began to drag him towards the female. "Let's find out, eh kid?"

Nomad was in deep thought when he was pulled by Nei by his shoulder again. "I had a good enough view back there!" he said. To someone else it probably looked like something out of a comemdy. Well it curtainly wasn't funny for Nomad "What are you doing!?" he keep saying, trying to get Nei to let go of his shoulder.

Nei had an iron grip on Nomad's shoulder, and she wasn't letting go very easily. "You say you want to meet new people, right? Well, meet this one!" she grunted. The Nautolan elbowed and dodged her way through the crowd, coming closer to the other Nautolan.

On her way, she caught a glimpse of [member="Asteria Starcatcher"] and made a mental note to head over there when she was finished.

Ashin Varanin

Professional Enabler
Security caught on after the second keg dosed with truth serum and Elixir of Infatuation. Her flask confiscated, Alec found herself escorted out of the party. That was all right; her work was done.

Arkia looks over with disdain as she sees a pair of Nautolans approaching her. What could they want? She takes a sip of her drink as she waits for them to draw closer. She discreetly smoothed out the front of her black dress, her hands running over the exposed red crystals. They certainly looked like a pair of happy, silly fools.

Amarant

Dead Men End All Tales.
(OOC: everybody was busy as hell when I was at work. Fun. I'll try to catch up.)

Amy blinked as the tall, pale figure introduced himself, stared off at a couple about to rip each other's clothes off, and then stormed off to pound more drinks. I guess she had been a little aloof with the guy. Needed to introduce herself faster. Cripes. These people had no sense of theater or patience. Ah, well.

She sipped her drink and smiled. It was drugged. Good thing she wasn't actually human from a biochemical standpoint. She walked over calmly towards Cryax and...some body dressed like a maid from Naboo. Huh. Weird. She nodded to Cryax and his boy-friend as well as Yuuta. "Hey there. Enjoying the party so far? Seems like things are livening up, in a weird kinda way. I'm Amy, I got an invitation as current representative of the Suns. How the hell are ya?"

Crucius Sin

A Sin That Shifts
((OOC: I didn't walk away... [member='Amarant']))

Crucius was thoroughly drunk, now... Or drugged? He shook himself, and his Shi'ido metabolism did its job. The mental fog he'd suddenly been in cleared. Behind his shades, his eyes were changing faster than he could account for.

With another pull at his fifth beer, he smiled at the redhead, who was not shouting at none other than Cryax Bane himself. The President. That seemed inordinately funny to the Shifting Prince, but he'd be damned if he could tell why.

[member="Amarant"]

Cryax finally spotted the redheaded woman who he'd almost forgotten had sent a drink to his table from earlier. Was that the drink that the eyeball ended up in? He wasn't sure, but no matter. Now he was swigging directly from a bottle of whiskey and feeling no pain. "Good evening," he slurred to Amarant. "Yeah this party got really weird, and karked up didn't it? I think it's the spiked drinks," he said gesturing to her glass. Then he did a double-take, squinting his eyes at her. He was too drunk to be that quick on the uptake, but something she said finally registered with him. "Hold up. Did you just say you were a representative of the Black Sun?"

Shoulders tensed, Bane clenched his fists underneath the table, and glanced over at his boyfriend who knew exactly how the Chiss felt about the rival criminal syndicate. Yes, the Ravens and the Suns were in the midst of a cease-fire, but that didn't meant he had to fething like it. Especially since he'd been captured and dumped in their prison. The fact that he'd lost a week of his life in that Kessel death camp was beyond forgiveness. Taking a deep breath, he ran his fingers through his blue-black hair in a gesture of nonchalance. Poker face, Cryax. "Black Sun eh?" he said with a smirk. "Not here to shoot me in the face I hope." he said with a chuckle and took another swig from the bottle.

Well, he was persistent, she would give him that. But sometimes stubbornness was a virtue that wasn’t quite so necessary, at least in regards to this topic of conversation. It could be appreciated by her, to a degree, but no more. As a conversation partner she didn’t mind him, but anything more was out of the question, or at least what he had in mind. There were times when the explanation she’d given him would suffice, but apparently a clearer boundary line was needed. “That’s not exactly how it works, but besides, I’m not much interested in a relationship just now.” Pausing, she took a sip of her drink. “Not for a while, at least.”

If he asked after specific reasons, Keira supposed that she could paraphrase it, omitting the details that she would rather not talk about. Not many knew much of what had happened, but it was mostly due to the topic not coming up and her own unwillingness to do so. “That isn’t to say that I wouldn’t be open to talking, but as for what you had in mind…” Instead of finishing the statement she left it open-ended, a smile quirking the corners of her mouth. Even if she had been interested, they hardly knew a thing about each other besides their brief introduction earlier.

“We don’t know much about each other, anyhow. I’m going to assume you at least know who the Ravens are, from how you walked in.” His confidence as he strode into the casino had been something to note, and he acted as if he belonged there, but that could just as easily be his typical attitude. "And you seemed to know Cryax, as well." A pause, and a slight smile. "So, do you mind telling me a bit about yourself? I'd be happy to return the favor."

[member="Aleksandyr Gaillard"]

Her avoidance of the initial topic seemed to hint that she didn't really want to talk about it but he didn't mind talking about himself or getting to know her. "I'm the CEO of Gaillard Industries, or more commonly referred to as the Gaillard Corporation. I design starships, am an avid swoop racer, and Cryax is just ... Let's just say we've done business together.", he left it at that but even still it was more than he'd usually give. The common engagement was a single night or maybe a romantic weekend before the two never saw each other; he didn't want to admit it but this was probably the first real date he's had in years. Even if it wasn't a romantic one. Alek finished off his glass at which point the bartender refilled it.

"How about you?", he asked in return. "You seem a bit out of place amongst these.... Discreet entrepreneurs.", he didn't really want to use the word criminals but I suppose he too may have looked a bit out of place or not. After all he hailed from the Republic, and although it was filled with criminals as well it didn't exactly scream it.

[member="Keira Ticon"] [member="Cryax Bane"]

Out of place was one way to describe it, but had he caught her on any other night it wouldn't have seemed as such. Having joined the Red Ravens shortly after uncovering her family lineage as a Ticon, Keira had fit in easily into the facets of the organization, forming friendships and close family ties with her older brothers and cousins alike who also called Antecedent home. Her quiet reservedness wasn't typical by any means, as anyone who was familiar with her in any way would quickly realize. Usually one who had a remark handy for most anything, simply observing wasn't a skill that she typically employed. But, given recent events that she wasn't wont to speak of, that had changed, at least for the time being. "It runs in the family, you could say. Joining the Ravens, that is. As for me, the best way to put it is that I'm a rogue. Left the Jedi three years ago, wandered around the galaxy for a bit, wound up here." She shrugged, not deeming to mention just why she'd left or how she'd ended up joining the syndicate.

After hearing his further introduction of just what it was he did, his being at the party made just a bit more sense. A number of businessmen were at the casino in hopes of garnering a deal or two, but from how he spoke of Cryax it seemed that the two had come to an agreement beforehand. And his trailing off before finishing the statement only made it more curious, but she would leave it at that. The value of privacy was well known to her, as it was to most who partook in business on the less than legal side of things.

Joran Del-Finn

Smuggler by day. Snuggler by night.
Dwayne+Johnson+Red+Carpet+Journey+2+Premiere+GZ5gUCHsZV5l.jpg
“Nei!” he shouted across the room, when he saw her. She was dragging some other Nautolan around, a brother, perhaps? Lover? Joran didn’t know, or care really. He made his way over to where they were, intercepting them just before they reached a third Nautolan. Did all of Glee Ansem, come here tonight?

He tried the best that he could to walk with a determined swagger, the kind of gait that showed, confidence, charm and swagger. Mostly he stumbled. He had been at the bottom of a few glasses already. Hey, it was a party after all.

He reached the group of Nautolans, clearly a bit sauced.

“Hello, Love. Could hardly recognize, you without that armor of yours.” he gave her a toothy smile, nothing but charm and class…and a whiskey or two…or six.

He had grown curious of her even more than earlier; after hearing she used to be a Jedi he perked up a little bit -- as if everything suddenly changed. "A Jedi.", he confirmed under his breath before smiling again towards her. and raising his drink in a half-acknowledged toast. "Tell you what. If you're not really interested in dating me. Why not work for me?", he asked. He may not have given off a clear explanation for the sudden change of topic but he didn't try to hide anything either. Sure, being a former Jedi did deliver a particular skillset but that wasn't necessarily all there is. He then took a sip of his drink, "Of course I'm not asking you to leave the Ravens.", he added the remark incase she had reservations. "I don't mean to turn this into a business discussion. Let's not discuss details here, for now, let's drink.", he pulled out a business card with his direct contact information and slipped it near her hand. "Agreeable?", he smirked before taking another sip.

The CEO had a keen interest in getting to know [member="Keira Ticon"] but he did still wish to perhaps get closer in other ways than his original thoughts.

Nei glared at Joran. The man was clearly drunk and the Nautolan didn't feel like dealing with him. Well, not yet. "I wish you hadn't," she grumbled.

Shouldering past the man, she jerked Nomad towards the other female Nautolan. "You--" she jabbed a finger at Nomad. "--No drinking. Or gambling. Now, mingle."

Releasing her death grip on the kid, Nei then turned to look at Joran. Grabbing his arm, she began to drag him away from the other two. "It's Nei, si'hklesi foh. What you be doing here?! Thought you didn't like the Ravens."

He frowned at her. Why couldn’t he meet her, other friends. It was like she was ashamed of him or something. He jerked away from her grip hard, aggressive like. They may be friendly, but Joran was nothing, if not prideful…and drunk.

“kark, the Ravens.” he said rather loudly, probably louder than he should of. What did he care? It was the truth, he was here for the drinks and the…drinks. He didn’t have a lot of places he could go that had friendly faces, granted there was only one, semi-friendly face here, but that more than he could say about a lot of other places. “It’s an open bar.”

“I, cant meet, your other friends, eh, Nei?” he emphasized on her name, let her know he was listening, and wasn’t very happy. It was a pretty passive aggressive and childish way to show his bruised feelings, that shouldn’t be bruised any way, what did he care about them? Or her? kark, he needed to slow down, with the drinks.
