Armaments:
+ High powered cutting laser in eye
+ Deployable buzz saw
Misc. Equipment:
+ Magnetic pads in legs to allow it to stay in one place and stick to metallic surfaces
+ Splicing arm that allows it to splice into electrical wiring in ships, allowing it access to ship systems to either take control of them or make them vulnerable to allied slicers
+ Open network transmitter that allows it to act as remote hard point for allied slicers
Description:
Taking inspiration from the old buzz droids of the Confederacy and other sorts of sabotage droids, the engineers at Aurora Industries began work on the AI-s01 "Trickster" sabotage droids to develop a sabotage droid that the company can sell on the open market. Designed out of titanium and a heat-dissipating allow, the Trickster droid is light weight and able to pass through normal shields, exactly as the old buzz droid could do. It is generally found in a sphere and deployed through a Mayhem Missile, but when deployed, it moves on four legs that are equipped with magnetic pads to allow it to move across metallic surfaces. Four small photoreceptors are placed around the red "eye" on the droid's head.
The Trickster is equipped with, as the standard, a high-powered cutting laser within the visible "eye" of the droid when it is deployed and a deployable buzz saw arm. The Trickster also has a splicing arm that it uses to splice itself into a ship's electrical systems. At this point, it can take control of the ship systems it is attached to, or it can use its open network transmitter to act as a mobile hard point for allied slicers to infiltrate an enemy's systems.
The Trickster does have a few downsides though. Its open network transmitter is exactly that, an open network. An enemy's sensors can pick up the droid's exact location as the Trickster can't move once it has spliced into a system. The droid is also not the most durable, a simple blaster bolt or vibroblade will destroy it or even just a kick to the red "eye". It is vulnerable to normal droid weaknesses of sonic, ion, and EMP weaponry.
