- Integrated Storage and Charging Dock for an Aurora Industries Attack or Support Drone
- Two Modular Nanite Hardpoints to allow for the attachment of various weapons or support systems by the wearer to the Sidhe
- Thanks to the two scaled-down Phoenix Ion Engines, the Sidhe has extremely impressive flight speeds within an atmosphere and in a vacuum. The integrated SLAM system gives the Sidhe an even more impressive boosting capability to allow for short bursts of increased speeds.
- The internal molecular furnace allows any material fed into it to produce any fuel system for the Phoenix Ion Engines, with the internal components of the system designed to accept any fuel for maximum and efficient thrust. This allows the wearer to always have fuel reserves on hand, eliminating a major issue that many jetpacks and personal repulsor packs have in the field.
- A common feature mandated by company executives, the jetpack is equipped with a storage and recharging dock for support drones developed by Aurora Industries for the soldiers' use in the field for greater flexibility and versatility while in a combat scenario.
- While the boost from the SLAM achieves ludicrously impressive speeds, it is only a short burst system that completely drains the coaxium installed into the system. The boost can only be utilized once another coaxium fuel core is slotted into the SLAM.
- If the drive's internal molecular furnace becomes sabotaged, it can cause a chain reaction that can consume the engine, which will utterly destroy it. This, combined with the automatic shutdown sensor, will turn the Sidhe into just a large backpack until the damaged or destroyed engine is replaced.
- While the Sidhe has integrated de-ionizers to protect its internal components and operations from ion and EMP weaponry, that protection does not extend to the charging and storage dock for the support drones, potentially disabling the drone if it is attached, and eliminating that functionality until a full system reboot or repair is completed.
Developed as part of Aurora Industries' Emrys Program, the AI-E05 "Sidhe" Jetpack was the company's answer to several other personal air transportation systems on the market and to ensure it didn't need to rely upon other companies for such a product. The Sidhe is designed around two scaled-down Phoenix Ion Engines, as Aurora engineers had eschewed the use of standard rockets for the Sidhe due to their noise and insane fuel consumption, and the ion engines would provide the Sidhe with impressive speed and maneuvering. The Sidhe was also designed with two stabilization and maneuvering fins for increased flight control and an integrated SLAM augmented with a coaxium intake for intense bursts of speed. The Sidhe also comes equipped with a heavy degree of heat and radiation shielding to protect the wearers and to ensure the jetpack can't overheat even when used for hours on end or pushed to maximum speeds.
An additional feature that was required by Aurora executives was the inclusion of a dedicated slave circuit and beckon call that would allow a soldier or other purchaser to connect the jetpack to any HUD system they were utilizing and summon it to their position if they were not already wearing it. An integrated flight computer with a heuristic processor ensures the jetpack can fly around obstacles on its own when summoned, and can even allow the soldier to remotely pilot the jetpack as a mobile platform for any attached weapon or support systems. In addition, much like Aurora Industries' armor systems, each Sidhe has a storage and charging dock on the back for an Aurora Industries combat or support drone.
