AGGRESSIVE NEGOTIATIONS

THE CONFEDERATION IS ON THE MARCH!

Following the acquisition of the Outer Rim world of Minntooine, the IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION has launched an invasion of the THANDON STAR CLUSTER, home to the SITH HOLY WORLDS under the control of the tyrannical SITH ORDER, first of many Campaigns to be waged by the nascent Imperial power.

In order to meet the needs of the Confederation’s growing Military-Industrial Complex, the newly established government agency known as COMFIC under the direction of PREFECT NOLLE TRON has begun the process of Imperializing of various key Industries across Imperial space with the assistance of the IMPERIAL ARMED FORCE and the IMPERIAL SECURITY SERVICE.

At the same time, the CORPORATE INTERESTS GUILD has been invited to a summit on the world of SALEUCAMI, where the IMPERIAL RULING COUNCIL and other high-profile Imperial dignitaries hope to strike a mutually satisfactory deal that will enable the Confederation to receive significant investments from some of the galaxy’s largest and most influential megacorporation, which in turn will fuel further economic growth within the Confederation.

With the balance of power within the galaxy shifting away from the dominant galactic powers of the Galactic Alliance and the Sith Order, the Confederation now prepares to take action in order to claim it's rightful place as the galaxy's next dominant superpower.

LONG LIVE THE CONFEDERATION!

OBJECTIVE I : IRON & CREDITS

Within the Saleucamian Capital of Taleucema, the delegates of the Imperial Confederation prepare to meet with the representatives of the Corporate Interest’s Guild to discuss a mutually satisfactory deal that would ideally result in the Confederation receiving a significant investment from the CIG into its growing economy. However the past conflicts between previous Imperial regimes and the Guild remains a fresh memory in the eyes of the Guild, which creates a potential obstacle should the Guild hold on to old grudges. As such it is imperative that the Imperial delegation move with great caution to avoid antagonizing the Guild.

OBJECTIVE II : IMPERIALIZATION

Throughout Imperial Space, the Imperial Armed Forces and the Imperial Security Service scour each planet in order to seize key Industries that have been selected for Imperialization by COMFIC. While most of the seizures have gone peacefully, some companies have elected to resist the seizure of their assets by the Imperial Confederation and have deployed Corporate militias in a bid to prevent their assets from falling into the hands of COMFIC and the Confederation’s growing Military-Industrial Complex. As such if the process of Imperialization is to continue smoothly, this opposition must be eradicated as quickly as possible and with minimal damage inflicted upon the targeted industries in order to ensure they can be quickly converted for military usage.

The dark grey hull and subtle purple accents of the Exarch's Envoy shuttle cut through the lower atmosphere of Saleucami. Karl's pilot kept to the pre-cleared flight lane with both speed and finesse, guiding the craft toward a private, authorized landing pad deep within Taleucema's sprawling spaceport. The shuttle settled onto the tarmac with practiced grace, the soft hiss of hydraulics marking the end of its descent. Karl exhaled slowly, a habit that lingered despite countless flights since his accident. Whether his unease stemmed from those memories or from the meeting ahead, he couldn't say.

The landing ramp extended in a smooth motion; upon completing, Karl descended, his boots finding their rhythm against the warm durasteel. The temperate air carried the scent of salt and industry, mingling with the faint ozone tang of active repulsors. He breathed in the air and exhaled with a smile on his face. Saleucami carried good memories for the old veteran, Taleucema even more. But he wasn't here to reminisce, he had a meeting to attend and Confederation interests to further.

Karl would be one of the first to arrive at the meeting's location, after all, early is on time. He chose not to sit down, but instead found his way to a carafe of water along the wall. He poured himself a glass and took a sip as he looked over his notes, waiting for the rest of the delegation to arrive. Without looking up he spoke to an empty room, "C1RC3, you needn't be cloaked. We aren't in any danger here, and we don't need to scare the Guild's representatives with a cloaked bodyguard."

From nothingness, a shape took form in the corner of the room, along with a voice. "Yes, but my being cloaked was a design you specifically built in by you so people would think you're unprotected. Me being uncloaked completely defeats that purpose..." she said. "...and people tend to stare."

Karl chuckled a little bit, "I never would've thought you'd be embarrassed, especially as one of the deadliest things in any given room. But the representatives we're meeting with are hopefully going to be allies, and I'd rather start off with them on the right foot, given past grievances."

"I never said I was embarrassed," she retorted. "Besides, you helped program me with a range of emotions; it would be a shame if I didn't use all of them."

"Oh, shut it." Karl said, stifling a snort. He turned around, shaking his head. He sipped his water as he began to lap the room, reading his notes.

IRON AND CREDITS

Home.

Born and raised on Saleucami, Judah had arrived early for the conference to spend time with family. Staying at his cousin Caspian Dashiell Caspian Dashiell 's massive nerf ranch gave him time to catch up with the family at large. Yet between the catching up and relaxing, he had prepared for this meeting with the Imperial Confederation. Regarding the group, he didn't quite know what to think. Certainly he had thoughts and questions but if those questions would be answered truthfully was another story.

Arriving in Taleucema, Judah adjusted his suit jacket as he walked the short distance to the meeting location. Passing security had been easier than he thought and soon he found himself in the conference room. He was early, the room being paced by one man and regrettably a droid in a cloak, speaking to the man.

Great.

"Good Afternoon." A short, simple nod followed. Finding his assigned place at the table, he slid into the plush leather seat, quietly waiting.

Prefect Nolle Tron had been in place on Saleucami long before the meeting was to start. She had been dealing with other arrangements in the territory. This area was a key to her vision of logistic expansion of the Confederation. After discussing things with Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen Nolle had set a meeting with Supervisor Rhyss starting machinations that would bring prosperity and security to the Coreward territories. Now that those plans had been put into motion the Near-Duros politician could focus on making wise deals with independent corporations to keep the Confederation moving in the right direction.

The roster of attendees had not been solidified, which irked Nolle. She had mentioned not enjoying that she was not sure who would be present at her own meeting multiple times to her Theelin assistant on the way to the meeting. She still managed to stay even keel, but she felt slightly guilty as Pry tapped feverishly at her data pad to gain as much information as possible about what corporate operatives were given clearance to land in Taleucema.

At least they had arrived before the meeting room had become full. As Nolle strode toward the two men who had arrived before her, Pry continued her research moving to a corner of the room. Nolle smiled as she approached. "Good that you have made it, Exarch. I hope to have several agreements in place by the end of this summit. Valuable to the Confederation and corporate needs."

The Near-Duros turned her head to the other male as his name was whispered into her hidden comm. "Welcome Mr. Dashiell, your family name is synonymous with commerce. I hope that you will find the Confederation a hospitable host and that the meetings will bring you much opportunity to work with the Imperial government. We wish to make this galaxy a better place for all. That takes much cooperation. This meeting I hope will be merely the first step."

IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION
SALEUCAMI,
OUTER RIM TERRITORIES
TimHzFP.png
A single Neo-Imperial Shuttle soared through the skies of Saleucami, making it's final approach towards the Saleucamian Capital of Taleucema where a major Summit was to be held between representatives of the Imperial Confederation and the Corporate Interests Guild. With the Confederation making it's first moves in the galactic arena in the midst of a shifting balance of power, it was vital that their economy was sufficiently strengthened to support future projects aimed at simultaneously supporting the Confederation's power projection and the needs of it's civilian populace.

While there was of course some previously existing tensions between the Imperial regimes of the past and the Corporate Interests Guild, the Imperial Ruling Council hoped to repair the broken ties with the Corporate Interests Guild and set aside past grudges for the sake of mutual satisfaction and growth. One could only hope that the Corporate Interests Guild would share this optimism and would be reasonable enough to see the merit of backing the Imperial Confederation, especially with the Galactic Empire rampaging through the Core Worlds.

The Imperial Shuttle would soon make landfall at a landing pad located in close proximity to the building that was set to host the important diplomatic conference. Once the Shuttle touched the ground and came to rest, it's main entrance and ramp would open up allowing the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces, Marlon Sularen to walk down flanked by a squad of SpecNav Commandos who all proceeded to make their way into the building and then towards the designated meeting chambers.

Upon arriving at the meeting room, the SpecNav Commandos would stand guard outside as the Supreme Commander walked inside ready to join the summit and ensure that a proper compromise agreement was reached between the Imperial Confederation and the Corporate Interests Guild. As he entered the meeting room, the Supreme Commander took note of the other individuals present which included Exarch von Strauss, Prefect Tron and Judah Dashiell, a modest set of individuals although more would be set to arrive.

First the Supreme Commander would turn to address the Imperials present. "Exarch von Straus, Prefect Tron. It's nice to see you both once more." he said, acknowledging their presence while greeting them. He then approached Judah Dashiell himself extending a hand for a handshake as he introduced himself to the Saleucamian native. "Mr. Dashiell. It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person. I do hope we can reach a compromise agreement today, for the sake of mutual satisfaction and growth, and further set aside any past grudges."

OBJECTIVE ONE - CREDITS AND IRON

SfsgRnd.png

The NZS Artorias slid through the emptiness of space, elegantly streaking through the vastness of surrounding darkness, with only two people on board contrary to the usual pomp and protocol that came with the arrival of the Chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, this time there was no need for such precautions, not when they were in friendly space. On the insistence of the Secretary-General of the N&Z, Tertius would only bring her; Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory with him to the gathering where The Imperial Confederation would be bringing forth their plans within the economical and corporate spectrum of their territory.

Despite the strange headache which continued to plague him, the Eriaduan Noble was quite excited for this arranged meeting, as in a way he did think of himself as a possible bridge in between the stoic, imperial might and manners of the confederation and the more free-spirited way of handling business as many of those in the Corporate Interest Guild were known for. No doubt he'd at least be meeting one member of the quite prodigious Dashiell family, which could either mean there would be great deals to be made... or someone was going to bite the dust in a rather ridiculous manner. Still, if he could, Tertius would make sure that the members of ComFic and their direct superiors would be kept in line. A task luckily made less difficult by the fact that at least one of those superiors was an active member of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation's highest echelons and someone who he thought of as something akin to a personal friend.

As soon as his luxury yacht pulled down, after having sent through his codes, the ship was being escorted to the appropriate landing pad, from where the Chairman of the N&Z and his direct assistant were being led to the location of the proposed negotiations with the respresentatives of the CIG. It was somewhat funny for both of them, as Tertius was effectively a member of both, having been party to the formation of the CIG, having had his own ups and downs within the guild, but now he was also here at these negotiations as one of the biggest players within the Imperial Confederation's financial and industrial sector.

Upon his entry to the room where the negotiations would take place, the Marquis almost immediately walked towards Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss , giving the man a curteous nod, before stretching out his hand towards the older gentleman with a rather hearty smile on his face. "It has been some time, Exarch Von Strauss, It is good to see you in good health."

Behind him though, the sly smile on Amalia's face would probably catch the attention of the Exarch more than the seemingly somewhat emaciated look of the Marquis, which could mean only one thing... He was quite clearly nearby and making sure all his pawns were doing as he deemed fit.

"Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen ," Another curt, yet meassured nod was made towards the other high-ranking imperial within the room. It was known that the Sularens and the Nargaths had had a rather... tumultuous past, but with the founding of the Imperial Confederation, such things were immediately put to bed in the eyes of the current Marquis of Valkan, hopefully the Supreme Commander would think of it in a similar fashion. "it is a pleasure to finally be face to face with you...and not having to communicate with you through your many proxies is a rather refreshing feeling."

"Lord Prefect,"
Not much could be said about Nolle Tron Nolle Tron , in the Chairman's eyes they had to have been somewhat decent in their position to have been given it to begin with. Though Tertius was well aware of the Supreme Commander's penchant of surrounding himself with puppets and proxies, a lesson clearly learned from a certain Nargath...

"Sir Dashiell," With a bit of restraint, the Marquis of Valkan gave a calm, gentle nod towards Judah Dashiell Judah Dashiell . "How's the family, I do hope to see your grandchild one of these days, do give your son and daughter in law my well wishes."

"Good Afternoon."

Karl looked up to see the gentleman who had addressed him and responded in kind, "Good afternoon. Saleucami is always beautiful this time of year; I carry many fond memories of Taleucema." His gaze lingered, his expression momentarily distant, lost in recollection. The trance lasted only a moment before he returned to the present with a faint smile. "Oh, my apologies. I am Karl von Strauss, Exarch of COMECI, and a sitting member of the Ruling Council. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance at last, Mr. Dashiell. I have not had the opportunity to meet you in person before now, but I have heard much in your favor."

He extended his hand, and at his side, C1RC3 followed suit with a precise curtsy. "Hello, I am C1RC3, the Exarch's guard." She stated in her characteristically brief and efficient manner.

Looking past Judah, Karl watched as someone he recognized entered the fray. He watched as Prefect Nolle Tron made her way to him. He smiled at her approach and listened as she greeted him. "It is good to see you as well, Prefect. Our duties of late have allowed little time for talk beyond the confines of Commission sessions."

As Nolle turned her charm upon Dashiell, Karl observed quietly. The Prefect carried herself with a polished elegance that made her well-suited for the political stage; she had made admirable progress since becoming Amarin's chosen Prefect, and in Karl's mind, she was one to watch closely. He made a mental note before turning back toward his datapad, readying himself for the next exchange.

The arrival of Supreme Commander Malron Sularen was hard to miss. His presence filled the room with an immediacy that some found commanding, others overbearing. For Karl, who valued the quiet strength of being underestimated, such an entrance seemed unnecessary, but reputation often entered a room before its bearer. When Sularen greeted him, Karl responded with a measured nod. "It's good to see you, Supreme Commander."

Karl's eyes softened when he caught sight of the Marquis and his companion. He walked over and met them halfway, accepting the man's hand with firm pressure, accompanied by a genuine, warm smile. "It has been some time indeed, Chairman. I am most pleased to see you both here, and in good spirits no less." His tone carried genuine respect; Tertius was more than his superior in the corporation, he was a trusted ally, one of the few that Karl considered to be a friend without hesitation.

Turning his attention briefly toward Amalia, his expression solidified a bit, "And Miss Visconti, a pleasure, as always. I hope your travels were agreeable."

He turned towards the table in the middle of the room and moved to one of the chairs. Karl took a sip of his water and began to let his thoughts linger on the task and negotiations ahead.

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
MIN FOOL'S ERRAND
OBJECTIVE II: IMPERIALIZATION

"How much longer should we be expected to wait, sir?'

Ronhar shot a dirty look toward the Storm Commando who had asked him that question. The MIN Fool's Errand had already arrived in system nearly three days ago, and was currently on standby to assist the delegates on Saleucami should they require it. Ronhar and his forces would immediately travel planetside at the first sign of trouble, ready to rescue any members of the Imperial Confederation who might need an evacuation away from any sort of danger. Of course, no such trouble had occurred, leaving the Fool's Errand with nothing to do as the meetings continued unabated.

That sense of boredom had quickly affected the crew, and morale was beginning to suffer because of it. Ronhar couldn't really blame them: after all, how many times could one really run combat simulations before they tired of it?

"We wait as long as we need to, and we'll wait even longer than that if necessary", Ronhar shot back as he looked for something to alleviate his boredom. Granted, his statement didn't really make a whole lot of sense, but he didn't really care. This whole state of "hurry up and wait" was never fun to be in, but it was part of the job.

Ronhar peered out the transparisteel viewport of the Fool's Errand as he gazed down upon the Saleucami. Oh, how he wished he was at least down on the planet! At least then he'd have a change of scenery. Apparently, "Saleucami" meant "oasis", which seemed rather ironic to Ronhar, given that he was currently trapped in what might as well be a metal prison.

More importantly than that, being bored meant that Ronhar's mind tended to wander, and when that happened, the end result was never good. He still remembered the feeling of him seeing himself turn into a holo-droid during the last podrace he had participated in. His mental health was rather poor to begin with, and that most certainly didn't help him feel any better.

Maybe he should try talking to the onboard doctors? Perhaps they had some sort of medicine they could give him, something to treat what he was going through? Ronhar shook his head and quickly dismissed the idea. The second he told the doctors "hey, you have anything to treat me thinking I'm becoming a droid?", he knew they'd want to commit him. That was something he couldn't let happen. Mahporeem had a long way to go before it was integrated into the Imperial Confederation, and progress to achieve this was far more slow going than anytone had anticipated, even Graras.

And Graras knew just about everything there was to know about running a planet, Ronhar thought bitterly.

Ronhar refused to be a mere spectator in all this. He would be an active participant in his destiny, one way or another. Still, this whole "droid paranoia" that he was experiencing was become increasingly concerning to him. Something had to be done about it before he suffered a full mental breakdown...but what?

As Ronhar searched for answers, he unconsciously rubbed his cybernetic arms as he racked his brain for answers. The one thing he did know is that he needed to be doing something to keep the psychosis at bay. It didn't matter what it was, as long as it kept Ronhar busy.

Meaning...he had to get off this ship as soon as possible!

"I wouldn't say my family name is synonymous with commerce, that would be Arceneau in my eyes. Thank you all the same."

It seemed he would be the only corporate entity to show - that was until Miss Visconti arrived. Judah wasn't even sure the woman would be on the corporate side - N&Z seemed to have their hand in everything that was Imperial related. In his eyes, N&Z was often worse than the Trade Federation - at least the Federation tried to advance all corporate interest when possible.

"Just Judah is fine, Miss Visconti."

While he loved his family and grandchildren, Judah was eager not to say more. Not in this company. Information could easily be leveraged and used against the family in the future. Not paranoid, just wise, especially if talks went sideways or one in attendance went rogue and joined a more extreme form of government.

"Your reputation is well known, Exarch von Strauss." Judah shook his hand but declined the droid, instead offering a small head nod. Having a deep seated fear of the non-organic beings, he began to feel himself grow hot and stifled, anxiety rising. Hopefully the situation would be fine once they were talking about the business at hand and not focused on those in attendance.

"Let's get to it, shall we?"

The old salvager went to his seat, thankful for the water already in place. He wouldn't be speaking first. After all, he was invited to join the Imperials, there had been no audience requested on his end. A change already, considering those in the Dark Empire had refused to meet with anyone in the Guild in the past - except for Danger Arceneau Danger Arceneau .

The arrival of the Supreme Commander brought a smile to the Near-Duros Prefect's lips. He was the first to give his blessing to a focus at making the Rimward territories more involved in Imperial infrastructure. Of course he was focused on what good could be done for the military, however base sites, material sources and manufacturing contracts were good for all citizens. Nolle returned the Commander's greeting with a simple bow of her shoulders and nod of her head.

Soon following, the N&Z representatives arrived. Nolle had workings with other corporations in the works and hoped for additional representation, but two was a good enough start. At the acknowledgement merely by her title she gave a stiff nod of her head. "Perfect Tron will be just fine. I hold no noble title. Do you prefer Marquis? And how should your partner be addressed?" it was cold, but proper. Nolle hadn't decided if she liked Nargath yet. But she knew she needed him.

Nolle and the Exarch worked in close proximity since her promotion to the head of COMFIC, but as he stated there had been little time for socialization. "An empire takes time to build. A perfect one just as much to maintain, though I do hope we will not only know each other as Imperial engineers, but in a more personal level."

Judah Dashiell responded to praise with deflection. It was not a foreign concept in negotiations. It brought a smile to Nolle's lips. "Humility is an honorable quality, but you will find it is often seen as a weakness amongst some Imperials." The comment was meant as a warning more than a personal criticism.

Nolle took her seat and made sure everyone knew she had no intention of being the only one with a wave of her hand. "I had hoped for more attendees, but we can certainly begin and let others catch up when they arrive. With the blessing of the Ruling Council the COMFIC under my direction have begun plans to strengthen the Confederation's Rimward influence. This will include military, civilian and corporate infrastructure that needs to be put in place.

"I say this because the former rulers of these territories chose to handle all infrastructure themselves. A virus made its way inside the organism of that Empire and it died quickly. The Confederation does not plan to make the same mistake."
Nolle spoke confidently, but allowed a slight pause to see the reaction of those gathered.

"Plans are underway to add Boz Pity, Crispor and Alee to the logistic network of the Confederation, if not as full members. Credits will be spent to make these plans happen. While there would be a lot of control on the part of the COMFIC, we believe that mutually beneficial contracts with outside businesses are the best way to ensure that the Confederation flourishes within and outside of its borders," Nolle gave a smile and nodded to all. "Negotiations on those mutually beneficial contracts begin here. As the first to put your hats in the ring, you are at an advantage."

As Sularen engaged in conversation with the other attendees of the summit, another individual would make their arrival known that being the Chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, Tertius C. Nargath who proceeded to greet the Imperial Supreme Commander first. While Sularen had a rough history with House Nargath and the N&Z Corporation, since the late days of the Dark Empire their relationship had vastly improved although it was still a surface-level relationship that lacked any depth even though both Sularen and Nargath had much to gain by working with each other more often.

"It is a pleasure to meet you in person too, Chairman Nargath. I do wish we had meet in person before hand though. We have already buried out past differences and there is much our respective corporations could achieve together." Sularen said, hinting at future conversation and cooperation between SulaeenCo an the N&Z Corporation. "How are things going for the N&Z Umbrella Corporations these days? I can't say I've heard much from your side of the world of business and politics." the Supreme Commander added.

Once Sularen had taken his seat and adjusted himself comfortably, Prefect Tron would soon begin the summit in earnest by delivering her opening statements for the Summit, explaining her plans for the future of the Imperial economy along with expressing her desire to seek a mutually beneficial deal between the Confederation and the Guild. For now Sularen had nothing much to say to add or comment on Tron's statement, as he was more intrigued to see the Corporate delegation would respond to it, especially given the past animosity that had existed between the Imperial regimes of the past and the members of the Corporate Interests Guild.

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
MIN FOOL'S ERRAND
OBJECTIVE II: IMPERIALIZATION

"Incoming message from Colonel Rackham Rackham !"

A shout rose up from Ronhar's Storm Commandos as the Fool's Errand's terminal system received an incoming transmission.

It was about damn time!

Ronhar and the rest of his forces huddled around the terminal, each eagerly anticipating the mission they were about to be assigned. After nearly five days of complete and utter monotony, this was a welcome distraction from their previously uninteresting routines.

The holoprojector flickered to life, as the visage of Rackham appeared and spoke:

"Pana Kimeln is the CEO of Kimeln Holdings, one of the largest corporations active on Saleucami. Since the formation of the Imperial Confederation Kimeln Holdings has cooperated with the Imperial Confederation, granting it access to it's heavy industries for the production of military equipment. However recently the Imperial Security Service has received intel from a classified source revealing that Kimeln had previously funded the Tingel Arm Coalition, having secretly harbored Anti-Imperial sentiment. In the wake of this revelation, the entirety of Kimeln Holdings has been targeted for Imperialization with all of the Corporation's assets set to be seized by the Imperial Confederation, it's CEO eliminated for his treachery and their executives imprisoned for their association with Kimeln's treason."

"Hell yeah!", someone shouted as the debriefing ended. "Screw em'! Those fat Loth-Cats have everything that's coming to them!"

Compared to much of the galaxy, Mahporeem had always been on the poorer side of things, though that hadn't stopped the planet from creating a vibrant and thriving community of humans and aliens alike. Of course, this did lead to more than a fair bit of resentment toward those with wealth, meaning that there was no love lost for the target of this assignment. If anything, those gathered aboard the Fool's Errand were quite excited at the prospect of taking out someone who so much wealth, someone who undoubtedly hoarded all the planet's credits for themselves and gave none to the people.

Never mind the fact that the Imperial Remnant was working with N&Z Umbrella Corporation, they were clearly one of the good ones while Mr. Kimeln and Kimeln Holdings was not!

Ronhar and his men began to gear up for the mission as the Fool's Errand began to descend toward the surface of the planet. Ronhar was rather excited to engage in this mission for an additional reason besides knocking off a CEO: it would give him an excuse to test out the new ship he had recently acquired from a certain Ithorian...

As the Fool's Errand broke atmosphere, Ronhar and his strike team boarded the craft, as they prepared to take their target out once and for all. Closely behind would be the rest of his reinforcements, of which he had a number of different options to chose from...

Tertius looked at how Judah Dashiell Judah Dashiell seemed to completely ignore his greeting and instead turned his attention towards Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory who was acting as his personal assistant and was clearly on the fast track in claiming the position of Chief Executive Officer, a position the Chairman of the company's board had been safeguarding in his own opinion for too long now.

In the meantime though, he was glad enough that one of the very directors within the company's board, the current Exarch of The Imperial Confederation, Chief Officer of the COMECI was at the very least willing to reciprocate his greeting. Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss was certainly not unknown to the Marquis, whose decision to support the Exarch's goals and the future of their kin had only strengthened not just their ties, but also the prognoses for the very future of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation itself.

"Currently...I suppose just using Lord Nargath or Chairman Nargath would be more than fiting, your excellence," Tertius' head made another short, yet respectful nod towards Nolle Tron Nolle Tron before he settled in his seat, Amalia taking the seat next to him. His eyes turned back towards Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen , giving him the same treatment in the form of a courteous, yet short nod in regards to the idea of a better and more intensive cooperation in the future. "Lord Commander Sularen, I believe such a cooperation would at the very least grant us a better platform from which to assess the future involvement of the N&Z in the military apparatus of the Imperial Confederation."

Standing up from his seat and holding up a hand, the Chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation cleared his throat for a moment and clearly indicated he wished to be heard.

"Ladies and gentlemen present at this important gathering, allow me first and foremost to convey my well-wishes to the Empress for her undivided attention and support to the Confederation's growth," A slight and solemn nod was made towards the Lord Commander and the Exarch. "While it may seem somewhat odd for me to so suddenly take the lead in these talks, where some of the most senior members and officials of the Confederation are present, I do wish to first and foremost clear the air in regards to my own position in these negotiations. While the N&Z is without question already an integral partner to the Imperial Confederation, we do also find ourselves in the position of member of the Corporate Interests Guild, here represented in spirit by Judah Dashiell Judah Dashiell . While neither of us can speak for the CIG as a whole, we can however advise you to look at some of the CIG's members and arrange for potential contacts."

Smiling softly towards the only member of the CIG besides himself present at this meeting, the Chairman calmly exhaled and flashed his brightest smile so far, showing that even someone who usually was quite reserved and somewhat restrained, still had a quite chipper side to them. "So with this I yield the word to those who were intended to kick off these negotiations in the knowledge that they will treat me presently not only as the chairman of the N&Z, but also as a mediator towards the CIG and its interests."
