Outskirts of Eve, Capital of Scintilla
[member="Bedrovelse Hevn"]

Scherezade sat at the edge of the lake, her back towards the city proper. It hadn't been too long since she, along with a handful of other people she cared about, had become Agents of Chaos, and had been invited to walk around Eve, the capital city and first sphere of Scintilla. Several buildings in the capital, she already knew, were being built because she had poured the resources into it. If this were to be her new home, if this was to become an actual home, she wished to have a hand in its construction and development. The rest of the Firsts had been given the same opportunity; time would show who decided to do what with it.

And even though Eve was gigantic, sprawling over a diameter of 80 kilometers, it was still in the process of filling up. Many of its inhabitants weren't Agents of Chaos, but your normal people, who lived family lives, went to work in the morning, and back home before dinner. The artificial constructs that ensured the weather and sky would feel real her were doing their jobs amazingly well; Scherezade would not have guessed she was inside a space station if she hadn't seen with her own eyes when she'd entered it.

Closer to the edge of the station's sphere, she had found, was a lake. In truth, there were several of them, but she liked this one the best so far. A gut feeling told her that even when Eve would become sprawling with people, this lake would still be a place of refuge, a quiet place within all the madness that was coming. But there was also more. One of the engineers of Eve had told her that there was a lot to be seen beneath what passed for the surface; that you could actually walk beneath the lakes and look up to see their water and how it was contained, see the organic life within them from below.

She was yet to embark on that adventure, to go and see it all.

Still, her mood was good. Even her sister had commented on it. When they had left Confederate space, Scherezade had initially even frantic, despite her choice. In her near two years of existence, the only time she'd ever left it had been when she'd tried to cease existing. Now… Now they were doing things. Bigger things. But it was different now. Things were… Better. Even if they weren't big, even if no one in the Galaxy knew who and what they were yet.

And the people… Scherezade, for the first time since she could remember, was being treated entirely differently. It made her insides blush and jump away, but she could not deny that this change in attitude towards her had done her a whole great deal of good. It was like being in the Ministry, but with more people. And the Ministry, plus a handful of individuals, she knew, would probably be the only, or almost the only thing she would always cherish and miss. It was ironic, considering her stay in the Ministry had been meant to serve as probation in the first place. But she knew, that had she stayed, she would not have left the Ministry at all.

Pushing thoughts of what was now officially titled as the past, Scherezade inched closer to the edge of the rock she was sitting on, letting her toes touch the cool water. She'd invited Hevn to join her at the lake today, unsure if there would be a swim, but excited at the prospect of getting to actually meet him without the pressure of her breaking heart or pressing wars around them. It would be a rare moment; all the Firsts knew they would be headed to Morcanth in the foreseeable future. But for now, she had the chance to just… Enjoy each other's company.

Plus, she'd also brought a picnic basket full of food. Packing it with meats that had been air drying on her ship, she made a mental note; Scintilla definitely needed a wild resort sphere full of wild life and game that could be hunted. Preferably, filled with animals that could kill hunters too.
